So I decided to give this studio a shot being so close to me and not having to drive to LA more than I was already doing for other classes and auditions. What I found was a very friendly and knowledgeable staff with everything you could ask for in an acting school. Although still relatively new to acting, in my short 18 months I've landed a highly reputable talent agent, was the principal role in 2 national commercials, and was cast as a supporting role in an upcoming feature film by a major studio. I'm currently going on network auditions 2-3 times a month and have built a rather impressive resume thus far. All of this is because of the core basics I have learned at ASOOC. Without my acting technique, I would not be where I'm at today with so much more to learn and show. Their 7 Pillars of Acting technique has grounded my performance in every way possible allowing me to be in the moment under any circumstance presented to me. The marinara sauce also had a nice spicy kick. *Filet Mignon 3/5 - This came with filet mignon, mushrooms, fries, and coleslaw. The sauce was really sweet. I prefer my steak to be more on the savory side, so I didn't really like this dish. The fries were good. *Clam Chowder 4.5/5 - You know how in some clam chowders, the clams are so tiny you can't tell if they're really there or if they're just potato pieces? Well, not these. The clams were meaty and succulent. The chowder was overall very good, just a bit salty for me.

Today I learned about the history, style, lore, importance of the beoseon. I had no idea! After the lesson (lectured in Korean and English), we had the opportunity to practice writing Korean on our beoseon with our black calligraphy pens and cutting out the shape of the beoseon. We then transitioned to sewing our beoseon pattern pouch. I learned that the pouch is significant because it stores the pattern from which your beoseons are made. For example, in olden days, part of a bride's preparation was to make 100 beoseons and bring them to her new family's home. Typically, she would gift each adult in that household 10 beoseons each. Today's experience made me once again appreciate my Korean heritage and fanned a desire in me to learn more. I look forward to more education and making of memories at this fine institution and program. (Note, I was ambitious today. I took back to back classes. The 2nd class was about the ear-shaped pouch. It is a simple but elegant, traditional, and practical pouch to carry money, ID, tobacco, etc.). Two thumbs way up for both classes today. The lecturer was top notch and passionate about her topic, and the staff on site were all welcoming and helpful. We've been attending the Parent & Me dance classes with my (very) young daughter for the past two…read moremonths and I feel like I can finally share! My daughter literally runs into the classroom as soon as we enter the studio and squeals with excitement throughout the class. She doesn't always follow instructions, but the teacher and her assistant are always so sweet and gentle with her. Each class is planned with fun, unique activities but carefully designed with skill building in mind. I am so grateful to have found this place! We've explored many free trial classes at gymnastics centers and other dance classes all over Orange County and really nothing has compared to this class and the patience and kindness of the teachers here. What an amazing studio! I learned more than I have about screen acting from my 6 months here, than I did in some of my university courses, for which my major was acting.
