We've used this store several times and always with outstanding results. I got a battery for my Sonata here when it died at the car wash up the street and the employee even installed it for me! Pro tip: Check online for coupons, I saved at least $10.00 buying online, using the coupon and then picking up the battery in the store. Recently I went to BP to have the batteries checked/replaced in my Sonata key fob. One battery had crapped out and one was good. To replace them with a lifetime warranty was $20.00 each. I thought this was high, but whatever, we need our key fobs to work. The employees are kind and knowledgeable and we have been pleased with every purchase here. read more

I bought a $220 car battery at batteries and bulbs and I had to pay a core deposit. They refused to refund my deposit after I brought my old battery all the way there. They obviously don't know the meaning of core deposit. They said it was not this stores policy to return the deposit although their website says they refund core deposits. Appears that this franchise is stealing from their customers as a matter of policy. Don't buy anything there. read more

I guess that customer service isn't a priority at this junk shop. They are happy to sell you small pendent bulbs for $19.99 for a 2 pack that list a 22 year life, but last less than 8 months. (The original bulbs - not this defective brand - lasted FOUR YEARS before burning out). Shows their poor product performance and the crap they sell here. They state on the package there is a five year warranty - but they will only replace the bulbs. So my question to these thieves/cheaters and liars at Batteries Plus Bulbs is "who wants replacement bulbs of Ultra Last that only last 8 months for a total of about 200 hours (max? ANSWER - NO ONE! I sure as he** don't! Do you think I want to replace these bulbs every 8 months when they should be lasting for years? You are idiots and you failed to honor the warranty - I want my $40.00 for 4 tiny LED lights. You stole my money you scum. You think it's funny. You won't be laughing when you're out of business and you deserve to be. Good riddance to rubbish. Keep on laughing you fools. read more

The place to shop for batteries and light bulbs. Not only for their selection of hard-to-find batteries and bulbs, but for the knowledgeability of their personnel! Bring your questions. This is the store that was on University Drive in Huntsville. They also have COMMERCIAL-grade batteries in size AAA thru D cells. Ray-O-Vac brand, I think. These should store more than three times as long without leaking as Duracell Copper Top batteries. Ask about them. They come in packages of about ten. They certainly do carry a wide variety of batteries and bulbs, but my experience with them on Sunday makes me reconsider if I'll return... Here's my sob story: My gate started beeping yesterday, and wouldn't open via remote or pushing the gate opening button. I opened up the housing, and found the existing battery warm and swollen enough to make it hard to remove from the casing. Each of the connections had corrosion on the terminals. I soaked them in baking soda and water and got them shiny clean, but realized the battery was on its last leg. I had looked up the battery on Lowes.com and HomeDepot.com - and found them each selling them for just under $20.00. When I went to each to get a replacement, neither of them were in stock, and both places said that they had to be special ordered. The gate this works on is to my house, and needs to be operational today, so ordering one was out. I was referred to Batteries Plus Blubs and sure enough, they carry and have the battery in stock, but 50% more than either Depot or Lowes... Oh well, I need it, so I placed my order and drove to pick it up. I got there and picked it up, took it home, plugged it in, and it works as expected. While using both my wife and my remotes, I noticed that I had to get right up to the gate for them to cause the gate to open or close. I don't remember the last time the remote batteries were replaced, so it seemed time to make that change. Having not been able to find the batteries for them in the past, I figured a return trip would be in order, so I stopped by when I was in their neighborhood to get the remote batteries replaced. I walked back into the store about 15 minutes before closing, and both of the workers recognized me. I quickly let them know that the previous trips purchase was working great and let them know I was back for another battery issue. I handed them the remotes and let them know I needed a replacement battery. They quickly took both remotes back to the back bench and removed each remotes set of two screws. They removed the batteries, tested them to find them both at only 10% - and quickly replaced them with a new, fully charged battery. I was then handed the bill - that came to almost $20.00... "That's some expensive batteries," I explained. And the man who replaced them said, 'I only charged you once for the labor to replace the batteries. I could charge you twice..." he said. "I'm not at all happy that there's a charge to take out and replace two screws and a battery, so no, no thank you".. I explained. He chuckled and handed me the receipt as I exited the building with my remotes and their costly battery replacement. My gripe is that they can charge you $9.99 for removing 2 screws - removing and replacing a battery on each remote. That's $2.50 per screw... lol NEXT TIME, if there is a NEXT TIME, I'll simply tell them what battery I need and buy it, take it home and do the replacement myself... unless by then they start charging you to ask them where battery XYZ is located.... ====================================================== I called today, to let the manager know that I wasn't pleased with the 9.99 charge... She is V-E-R-Y customer focused, as she listened to what I told her and explained to me that there needs to be some coaching as the workers were supposed to let me know of the possible charge, so I could have opted to put them in myself. Her listening to me, and our 15 minute conversation, ASSURES me that her focus are her customers, and I will do business in this store again knowing that her employees have the same drive and goal as she does... read more

had a problem with one of the batteries on my wife's medical scooter that i had bought from battery plus in Decatur and needed it load tested and the Decatur store equipment was broken so i drove over to Madison store and mark tested them both and said yep one of them was not up to par he took my name and Ph # and when the Decatur store said well even if it failed the load test doesn't mean its bad just marginal well i left and about 4 days later mark called and said to take the scooter back to the Decatur store and he had it set up for them to replace both of the battery's free of charge, well the Decatur store didnt seem to happy but they did exchange them out.. This is my first review for anything. I replaced my iphone 6s screen from this shop and it cost me $136 (including the tax, it was $25 cheaper than apple store), and it was very convenient. When it was done, my phone screen was different than original screen; but at least it was not broken so I left. In less then a month, my screen separated from the main body so, I went there again and a young man helped me (he smelled slightly like alcohol -I hope im wrong), and he went back room and asked the technician. A few seconds later, he was back and told me that my phone was bent (you can't tell when you look at the phone, and the phone was always in my bag), so they can't and don't want to do anything. I asked why the screen was different than before and he told me they don't use original apple products. When I left, I wished I had gone to the apple store (at least they have a warranty) I whispered this and I heard from my behind my back the man say "what ever". This was my experience with this shop. TERRIBLE customer service and definitely would not recommend. read more
