After being introduced to this shop by my Dad, I will never go anywhere else for a battery. You…read moredon't really pay attention to the cost of things until you have to pay for them yourself -- and batteries are EXPENSIVE! BUT -- the KY Battery Outlet makes them affordable. Their batteries are literally about half the cost of what you'd pay somewhere else. How do they do it? Well, (I think) the cost savings is in that they require you to give them your old battery. What they do with it, I'm not sure - maybe recycle it, maybe recharge them -- not sure, don't care if it saves me $50-$100. I can attest to purchasing several motorcycle batteries (smaller battery so life expectancy is 1 year) and 1 car battery and having zero issues. They are super friendly, will check your current battery at no charge and make sure you leave with the correct battery for your make and model. They will take out the old, install the new and it's usually a quick in-and-out. They accept credit card, even discover! The only downside is that someone in the office is a really big UK fan-- so that paraphernalia is all over the office where you pay. Yuck. I've dealt with worse Cats fans.. these guys are pretty okay in my book. (Wink face -- because yelp doesn't yet believe in emoji's in reviews) Extra-extra -- I have a friend who owns a food truck. She mentioned needing a new battery. I told her about this place and that it was worth the drive. She told me later that day that they saved her $150. So yea -- never buy a battery anywhere else!

What are the odds? My husband and I were talking with friends about professions you don't see much…read moreof anymore. And TV repairmen came up. Maybe our Samsung TV heard us. Maybe it wanted to prove us wrong. Because shortly thereafter, our living room TV had a meltdown. Whenever anything was plugged in via the HDMI ports, the entire TV would shut down. When the HDMI cord was unplugged, it would turn itself back on. Many DIY fixes later -- including learning about accessing a hidden menu of options, following falling down the rabbit hole of TV repair talk threads and forums -- it was clear that this was not something we could fix ourselves. Hating the idea of just getting a new TV, I found my way to Ramm Electronics. And I'm so glad I did. I got right through to the owner, Tom, and I was happy to find out that he comes out to your home to fix TVs. (Not sure when I would have been able to load it up in my car anyway.) And one of his days to be in my zip code was today. He's in my part of town twice a week. He gave me a 30-minute warning for coming over, and when he arrived, he got right to work. He was able to quickly determine that the mainboard was bad. At this point, he gave me the quote. I could have said thanks anyway, and if I had, I would have been on the hook for $60 for the estimate. But the price seemed fair and was much better than buying a new TV. So I gave him the go-ahead to fix it. Tom had the part in his truck. Less than 30 minutes after arriving, my TV was fixed, and we have a three-month warranty. I hope none of our other TVs go kaput, but if I do, I will definitely be calling Tom and Ramm Electronics.

Wanted to support a small business but this was ultimately a waste of time and money…read more Called ahead of time and told the lady the make and model of our TV. She said no problem, they'll come to our home (due to Covid). We thought GREAT! Set up the appointment, a man and wife showed up. Made a comment that our TV is not one they typically repair (only LC and Samsung). After a quick plug into the side of the TV said it would be over $200 for the part and that if we did want to fix it that they would need to order it and come back. Are you serious?! 1. You could have told us over the phone AFTER we told you the make/model/year that the "Chinese (RCA) TV" isn't worth fixing. 2. Even if we did want to fix it they didn't have the capability to fix it on the spot. 3. They charged us the $75 diagnostic fee anyways after being in our home for 10 minutes TOPS and we told them the issue before arriving (only turned on periodically). 4. Check was deposited almost a MONTH after it was written. As a business owner myself, I couldn't justify charging a customer $75 for what they did, or didn't do. Honesty is the best policy. Why ask the make/model/year over the phone if you didn't work on them or would have to come back with the right part? Just for a quick buck? Wish I had a better review as we prefer small businesses.

Upkeep and maintenance the keys to keeping your Nissan happy!…read more We are new to the area, so after getting here the Nissan that we purchased in Vegas needed its required oil change. After my iPad completely stopped charging, I decided to try them out. They have clearly marked COVID precautions marked on the door. No more than two groups of customers in at a time (it's a small storefront). Masks are required and hand sanitizer is readily available near the door. I stopped in on a Sat afternoon to get an idea of what might be wrong and what it might cost. I explained to technician the issue and he believed that problem was probably with the charging port which would require micro-soldering. The estimate was $169 with it taking about 7- 10 days. I left feeling satisfied with diagnostic and a $10 coupon for service when I returned, I took it home to backup all my info to the Cloud and came back to CPR the following Thur. Another tech said the owner of the shop was actually in town from OK and could do the repair that night. New estimate was $129, both things were music to my ears! I left it there with request to get a call if they found something else wrong, like my battery. I didn't hear back so checked in on Friday about pickup. It was ready to go and for the second, lower priced quoted. Did I mention the lifetime warranty on repairs? IPad has worked like new since I got it on Friday (it's now Sun night). I appreciated the customer service and speed at which my repair was done. I'd definitely recommend CPR for all Apple repairs and will be back if I need additional help.
