I have spent thousands of dollars at this store buying batteries for my houseboat. Now that I need to return one that has gone bad they treat me like I am trying to steal something from them. Not to mention they told me I would have to wait until tomorrow for them to determine if the battery was actually. It is now over 24 hours since I dropped the battery off and of course they haven't called me so, I called them. Only to be told the battery is still charging. I bought an auto battery on 6-26-2022. Duracell, AGM - the works. On 10/29/23 the car would not start. My own diagnostics yielded a dead cell. It would not take a charge. With all of this in mind, I found the store in Cumming, and proceeded there to take advantage of my 4 years warranty. Two younger people were there that didn't hear a word of my description of what led to this point, Instead, I was told they would need to keep that battery for several days for testing and to see if indeed I had not violated the terms of warranty. It seemed as if they were following the store policy manual as to how to get out of a warranty claim. The words and mannerisms followed the age-old techniques one sees from this type of malcontent. From their words one could tell they were on a mission to make filing a warranty claim nearly impossible, if ever possible. Noting I was dealing with intellects completely void of any knowledge of car batteries and seeing they were only there to deny warranty claims, I took my battery up the road to Costco where I walked out with an Interstate Battery for $120. I plugged it in, and the vehicle couldn't wait to fire up, as I knew it would. Can you imagine a young mother in her car with a few kids sitting out in the cold, with no other way to go, and her being told her battery would have to be tested for a few days? they don't deserve the one star. took my iphone 13 here a few months ago to repair the cracked glass on back of the phone. they said they only had a after market piece of back glass. i said that's okay cause i just wanted it fixed. went back the next day to get my phone and now the front was completely destroyed so i had to wait another day for them to fix what they broke. they put in an aftermarket front screen without telling me and not the OEM apple screen that they broke. after that i was charged like 300$!! it's been about 3 months since that ordeal and now my screen is literally falling off the rest of the phone and it's almost completely unusable read more

Do not get your phone fixed here! They are not experienced to handle apple products. Went here and they basically messed up my Face ID, and said they didn't know how to fix it, and wasn't going to abide by the warranty. Honestly not even making the review because of the Face ID alone but ever since they "fixed" my phone the screen messes up sometimes. My suggestion to you all is to go to a different store and pay the extra $20-$50 to get your phone fixed. They don't care to fix your phone, and their customer service could use some work. I went to Batteries Plus Bulbs to replace my iPhone 8 screen which they did (after their battery of tests to ensure the phone was working). 5 days later, the screen goes blank and I can't see anything on my phone. I call Apple and they try to hard reset it and nothing! I then return to the store, explain my dilemma and the gentlemen states it's probably a faulty digitizer and he'll replace it. Cool! After finding my paperwork, he tells me he can't replace it b/c my screen was replaced before by a 3rd party. WHAT? My phone was working with a cracked screen and now it's NOT WORKING due to the faulty equipment used by Batteries Plus Bulbs and it's my fault b/c my screen was replaced before? I called a couple weeks ago to see if they could do a repair on my headphones, they said they would and I brought them in. The next day I called and they told me to pick them up so I went and got them, took them home and they're not working. I went back the following day and requested a refund since there wasn't any evidence they even touched the headphones. They told me they weren't even supposed to work on headphones and they needed to speak with the worker who took them originally before I could be given a refund. He had been please with job she did a few years ago, so when my phone battery started draining to fast, I went to get my battery replaced. I have been going to this location for years to get watch batteries replaced. Even have cards for several watches that I paid for lifetime batteries. I went in today(6/11/23) and dealt with the rudest person I have ever encountered. He told me they didn't do that for my watches. I didn't understand since I have been going there for years. I know at first I didn't handle it well because this guy didn't even give me a reason and said he didn't know. I told him he should know since he was representing the store. He got very offended and told me to leave the store that he didn't make enough money to deal with me. I then apologized & said I was sorry if I offended him & let's start over. He said no that the only reason I was apologizing was because I wanted his help, but this was after he went back to the back of the store and wouldn't even talk to me. I really couldn't believe it! I liked this store, it's convenient, & have never had a problem, but I will not go back. It's sad really that this guy is apparently angry at the world. There was no one else in the store, customer or another employee. He wasn't busy, but he sure was rude. I plan to call his manager and tell him. Have no idea if it will make any difference, but this guy has a lot to learn about working in retail. But because they are a specialty store, don't expect to find any great deals (ie, low prices) here - that's just the economics of a specialty store. Purchased a Duracell 12 V deep cycle battery for my kayak. After two years of low use and maintenance with a Battery Tender, the battery would not respond. When I took it in to the store it registered 0.78 V out of 12 V. They will not warranty the battery or stand behind the Duracell brand. When I called Duracell customer service they referred me back to the batteries plus local store. Spoke with a long-haired young man in the store, and he was not very helpful and said their policy is not to warranty anything that's under 10 V. Kind of funny, the defective battery is going to register under 10 V. Called batteries plus customer service at the 800@-677-8278 number and spoke with Teresa . Again, although not disrespectful, she was not helpful, and was totally fine with leaving a customer unsatisfied with a defective product that they represent. I guess my point in all of this is they don't carry reliable brands and their customer service from a store is subpar. They do not stand behind brands they represent. It's a shame, as I am a small business owner and choose to support small businesses in my area but this was a failed opportunity to show good faith. I will be closing my corporate account and finding another place to do my business for batteries and other items they carry. Singh, Mary, and Michelle worked together to go above and beyond and literally saved me tonight. I cannot say enough amazing things about them. My car battery has been dying every morning and putting me in jeopardy to leave my job. I also have an eight-month-old that I have to drive around and Singh was not able to do it tonight due to having customers in the store waiting but instead of just giving me the number to the Cumming store he went above and beyond and called the store, ensuresd they had the battery I needed and let me know that the Cumming store could help me and even let them know I was going to be on my way. Once her Michelle and Mary were awesome but Mary in particular was a ROCKSTAR!! Changed my battery even though it was NOT easy at all but she never gave up and made sure I was able to get it replaced so that me and my daughter were safe and that I wouldn't lose my job due to yet another dead battery in the am. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Find a reputable place for repairs. I brought my watch in for a battery replacement. Andrew the "tech" replaced the battery and I was on my way. Several weeks later the back of my watch fell off and I realized the they had not put the gasket on prior to replacing the back of the watch. I returned to the store and spoke with Tyler, who had harsh words about Andrew. He searched for the gasket, couldn't find it and said he would order one. That was 2 weeks ago. He told me to allow a week and that he would contact me. Nine days later, when I returned to the store, the "manager" Will, looked again and still no gasket. He said that they would send the watch to a jeweler to get a new gasket. That was last Saturday. He also indicated that the watch would be back on Tuesday. I called on Tuesday and "the watch is "still at the jeweler". Today is Thursday and I returned for my watch. Both Will and Tyler were there and I told them I wanted my watch. Will gave me an argument while Tyler told me that they found my gasket the day after he said they would order it. When I asked why he hadn't called to let me know he shrugged his shoulders. Will told me that if I wanted my watch, I should go get it myself - which I did, only to find out that from Saturday, the watch was only brought to the jeweler on Wednesday. Buyers beware! Recently purchased 4 golf cart batteries at this location. Within 2 months, 1 battery totally shot and another will be soon. Took it back to the store for warranty and Manager just said it was user fault, "user either had the bolt too tight or too loose", which by the way is great technical analysis. I never had a golf cart battery issue before when purchasing from other suppliers. Manager didn't care and had to scramble to get the 1-800 customer complaint line. They obviously sell cheaper quality items here and don't have pride behind their products or they would have at least seemed to have concern that their products are failing after 2 months. Highly recommend going down the street to several big box retailers who stand by their products and sell batteries at a better price. read more

Went in to have my shattered iphone6 screen replaced. Friendly staff willing to help. Picked up phone after 1 hour as promised. white cloudy dot noted to left upper corner. Left phone again as employee said could be faulty screen it also had a strange yellow hue. Came back and they told me it was a bend in the phone? Never had bend before and I had never had it repaired or replaced before, always in a case. Also said battery looked bubbled and could be preventing a good seal. Went home and not the touch id is not longer working. Cloudy dot still on screen. My phone is out of warranty with apple and I don't have apple care. I have to go buy a new phone because the screen is doing weird things.. Lesson's learned go to Apple or buy apple care. $150 down the drain.. read more

I took my wife's perfectly functioning iPhone 8+ in to have a cracked screen repaired, and when I got the phone back the camera and flash light were no longer working. I spoke with the manager, Mary, and was assured that it would be taken care of. After a software update and a three day trip to the technician the phone still does not function properly. I generally don't write reviews but the deplorable customer service and rude behavior of the manager "Will" compelled me to. Before I go into details, I'll just say that if you want a phone screen repair done, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!! A number if other similar reviews about screen repairs corroborate my perspective and experience. Sorry for the long review, but want to ensure I provided all the facts so people can decide for themselves. My wife's Samsung Galaxy S5 screen repair was absolutely below par as the screen was not level so upon holding it from the top it cracked. When we went there, we had to wait 20 min just to see Will because the other folks didn't have the authority to order a warranty repair. Will insinuated multiple times that the phone had been dropped by us which had caused the screen to break. He still begrudgingly agreed to repair it and told us the screen would be in stock the following Monday and that someone would call us. Till Friday no one called, so I called was told to come on Sunday. They finally repaired it but one day later the screen was already coming off one end. This time when we went, Will again made sarcastic comments about the phone being mishandled and that we were the only people who had issues with their screen repairs. He berated us in front of other customers by saying that he didn't care about any word of mouth business loss from this and that he didn't care if they couldn't make everyone happy. Upon responding that was no way screen glue coming off could be a result of our mishandling he lost his cool and angrily kept the phone on the counter and said he was done. He also mentioned that the most we could do is put in a complaint against him, which he didn't care about. Again, if you want a screen repair, save yourself the hassle and DON'T GO HERE! read more

Worst. They replaced my phone screen with the cheapest quality screen which cracked within three days of my repair! The phone literally slipped out of my pocket while I was peeing, you guys. And I have fake, soft flooring in my apartment. EVEN WITH A SCREEN PROTECTOR! My screen protector didn't crack, but their brand new screen repair shattered from that? Cheap. But we paid good money for it! My actual iPhone could withstand a full on concrete drop and not shatter. I can't imagine how cheap the screen they replaced was in quality for it to already crack. We made sure to ask before ever working with them, to make sure we had some kind of warranty with them -since the repair cost a significant amount of money - if anything should happen and they told us we had a 90 day warranty. So naturally I called back a minute ago to have the crack fixed and to get a fresh screen and they said the warranty only covers if the phone buttons malfunction and I'd need to pay them another $200 for an entirely new repair for a crack. Are you kidding??? NOT what we were told when we asked! You can't charge top dollar to replace a screen with a cheap screen that cracks within a day or two and then deny your customer the warranty you just assured them of as they were paying you! Not to mention the terrible customer service. He was rude, sarcastic and snide. I can't count on one hand how many times he said "don't know what you want me to tell you" instead of offering me some kind of solution or connecting me to a manager. They didn't have the batteries and said they would have to order them for me. The person behind the counter "name starts with a M" just seemed unhappy! Did not say hi, or how can I help you... He said nothing! I said I had a 10:30 appointment, his reply... The tech does not arrive until 11, he is behind 6 phones and we may not even have the part. I asked why I was given the option to make a 10:30 appointment... He said that's our home offices fault, they do not understand what is going on at the store. He then asked if I wanted to leave my phone, I said no and walked out. Came here for a battery replacement and the service was beyond good and now my battery is working better then ever

On 6/27/18 I was walking into a restaurant for lunch, dropped my phone and of course the screen broke. We've all been there. So after my husband got home we decided we would go out, get my screen fixed. I wanted to go to Expirimac sure it's more expensive, but I've used them before without an issue. He finds a coupon for Batteries Plus and said lets just go there. Against my better judgment I agreed and off we went. It took roughly an hour to replace my screen, which is what I was told. That is were my positive expirience with BP ends. That night my phone began acting odd. I couldn't type in text messages, apps would open and close on their own. It was awful. I returned to BP on Monday 6/30/18 and explained the problem. The kid said ok no big deal we will replace the screen. Which the supposedly did. Well the new screen did nothing for my phone's issues. Today on 7/7/18 I went to BP and requested a refund for the crappy product I was given. I was told by "Will" that the only way he would refund my money is if they took the screen off and gave me back my phone without a screen. ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I then called the 800 number and the girl there was just as useless and stated that it is up to the individual stores if they offer refunds. Umm.. Hello I am well within my warranty period it's only been 8 days. I basically told her to screw herself, hung up and took my phone to Expirimac (again where I should have gone in the first place). The young man there was very nice and told me based on what he was seeing, I have videos of my phone's crazy behavior, BP has screwed up my digitizer. I just got my whole shattered screen fixed on my Iphone 7 plus 3 days ago at this place. I ordered a new screen protector for my newly fixed phone as well and last night I placed my phone down on a table and soon realized that the bottom of the new screen they replaced was ALREADY CRACKED and cracked UNDER the new screen protector (not even hurting the screen protector). WITHOUT dropping it and treating my newly replaced screen on my phone with care, it STILL ended up cracked. I paid $100 for it and it ended up being a poor quality screen. I called the store to see if they'd fix it for me on their behalf since it was their own screen default (not my fault) and they said no because the warranty only covers technical damages to the phone not the physical cracks. SUPER UPSET and will NEVER go back to this place. Highly DO NOT recommend. I promise i'm not crazy and this is a legit review of angry, disappointed customer. read more

Deceiving experience with Batteries Plus Bulbs. I went to Batteries Plus Bulbs recently for the repair of my iPad's cracked screen. The technician promised that the iPad would be ready in 2 days, 3 days at the latest, because the adhesive they use takes 48 hours to cure. Unfortunately, it actually took them 5 days to fix the screen. The phone calls that were promised to keep me informed never happened. When I came in to find out if my iPad was repaired, they said that needed to replace their screen, which was defective, but that it would be ready THAT EVENING. If it is supposed to take 48 hours for the adhesive to cure, how is that it would suddenly be ready the same day of repair? Despite the fact they always under-delivered on their promises, they were not apologetic about it. They also had no problem charging me the full amount for the repair. I had never been to a Batteries Plus Bulbs before and I will probably not go back again. I went to this location to get my screen crack repaired. When I went back to pick up my fixed phone, they informed me that my front camera was not working. I informed them that it was working fine before I dropped it off, even with the cracked screen. They informed me that it would take a week to get the part in to replace the camera that they broke. I informed them that I would pay for the fixed screen and would not be paying for the camera. I followed up for over three weeks with different guys each time about my camera part. I even had an employee tell me to calm down because they were paying for the replacement so I should not be upset. To this day, two months later, they never called me back to help me with my camera. I went to another company to fix it and pay because good customer service is more important than providing a "service." read more
