went to return a battery that was never used and still under warranty , 2 18-19 year olds smoking dope working there tried telling me the battery was dead and i had it outside . Never seen such childish patnetic customer service . Corporate needs to get involved in this location they are scamming customers . We will be spreading the word on this shitty business owner & location and the lack of service they provide . 3 months ago I went into the Batteries Plus on Helmer to buy a key fob, paid for it, made an appt to program it. Get there and was told they are awaiting a special attachment for the year and make, they will call in a few days. 2 weeks later I stop in and a female employee starts ranting about how that guy was fired because he didn't know what he was doing and lazy. So made another appointment and 5 weeks ago finally got the fob but the emergency key couldn't be cut. She told me I'm sending it in, and I'll call you in a week. Once again no call so I wait to see how long it will take. Today I stop in to ask about the key and she throws up her arms and said she didn't even order it! I turned around and walked out! Everything is an excuse at this store. Every time I'm in that store she blames ex employees or customers. This store used to be great. New owners new rules. They require 24 hours to warranty a bad automotive battery. O'Reilly auto parts around the corner will warranty immediately. I purchased a car battery (Duracell SLIU1RT) on 5/23/2021. The receipt states "Full Warranty Until 5/23/2023". It was used in a seasonal car and kept on a trickle charger when the car was not in use. In the late summer of 2022 the trickle charger (also purchased from Batteries Plus) was flashing an error light. The car would not start and the battery would not charge. I did not take the battery back at that point as we store the car in the winter and I didn't want to put a brand new battery in before storing it. This spring (3/29/2022) I took the battery back to the Batteries + Bulbs and they refused to honor the warranty, saying the battery was "abused" The battery was not abused in any way. It was used as stated above. The person who waited on me was very nice. She said she talked to the store owner and he made the decision not to honor the warranty. I called the corporate number to complain and they said they had no power over the franchisee's decision. I will not go back to this or any other Batteries + Bulbs store. read more

Went in this week because I thought my Android Galaxy 7 needed a new battery... They HAD them in stock, and were ready to change it out for me for a very reasonable charge of $59 (after $10 coupon for booking appointment online...) Turns out, the Logic-Board of the phone was completely fried-out, and the phone essentially un-fixable for any reasonable sum... The amazing part is, they COULD have charged me for the inspection and/or battery, but they DIDN'T! Kind, Honest, Knowledgeable Folks, that seem to REALLY care about their Customers rather than just making a buck! I went in last year to get a battery they didn't have one and had to order one took a week I believe, meantime I bought a charger as well cause they said that would help keep the life up on the battery. Well this year the battery died and they would not replace it or give me my money back, told me I was out of luck, even after proof of buying it and the hoops I jumped through, the guy I dealt with was rude and disrespectful and a jackass. I will never ever go back there for nothing in my life and I hope you all stay away from there as well, poor customer service and they don't back their product or warranties. Called in advance to get a law mower battery on a Sunday, they said it was fully charged. Got home installed the battery mower wouldn't start. Called back the guy says it may not have been fully charged. Think about you should answer and listen to the question at hand. read more
