I found Chef Vanessa through YELP and I am so happy I did!! Vanessa catered my husband's birthday party at our home this weekend, and it was fantastic! After interviewing about 6-7 caterers and looking at their proposals, I chose Vanessa because her menu both coherent, interesting and delicious (not "trying too hard" to be weird or unusual). I'm allergic to wheat, soy and sesame, so, instead of having just a couple of things I could eat, she went with a Mediterranean-style buffet and amazing passed hors d'oeuvres. Plus plenty of meat-free options for our vegetarian friends. Everyone raved about the food from beginning to end. And she and her staff did a fantastic job putting it all together in our small kitchen, maximizing the space and cleaning up beautifully as they went. I have used Chef Vanessa on two separate occasions; the first time when a friend lost his wife and the second time when I brought my baby home from the hospital. The first time I worked with Vanessa, I ordered food to be delivered to a friend's house.
