We had a wonderful experience with Linda the sales person who came to our home but unfortunately it ended there. We were completely given the run around by them after. Twice we were given dates for installation and both times the day before we found out it wouldn't be happening. The 2nd time we had to call and find out, and if we hadn't they were planning on no showing us. The woman who does their scheduling is very frustrating to deal with and makes it your problem to fix. Called Rebecca and she hung up on me as I was simply trying to ask if they had any availability in the next week because my time was short. I called back and she confirmed that she did in fact intentionally hang up on me. We had Nick, the installer out of Billerica, MA, come out to install a new shower. He didn't introduce himself, brought in his 1980's radio, and was inconsiderate, arrogant, and had to come out 2 more times to fix what he did. Once because he didn't finish in time and another time to fix the chalking which was not done properly to begin with. Secondly, he broke the floor tiles in front of the shower and damaged the wall behind the toilet. Totally unprofessional and sloppy! When I questioned him, he danced around the answers. I wouldn't trust Nick to clean my bathroom or to do anything else for that matter. read more

Unfortunately had to have bath fitter come back out after original installation because of strange staining that occurred to the corner of my tub. They were super helpful and told me they would have someone right out. Too bad the guy they sent out what a total jerk. He informed me how much he didn't want to do the job because it was going to "take all day". Ended up taking him four hours, and when he left, I found my door stop ripped out of my wall, my picture frame shattered and thrown in my window sill, and the worst caulking job I've ever seen in my life. I contacted the company and the manager told me he'd "look into it, and get back" to me. This was early August, never heard a word, never got an apology. Obviously not looking for a dime, this was a free of charge service call, but they could have at least acknowledged what had happened and perhaps apologized for damaging my property. Poor Ongoing Customer Service and an Incompetent Plumber Makes Me Wish I Went Elsewhere With This Project. To start with some positives, both the builders and the initial salesperson I had were polite and great at their jobs. The salesperson gave me high expectations of what to expect, and the builders did a fine job with the project. That's about it for the positive. To start, getting the office to call and set up the actual build was rough. I had met with the salesperson, made my order, and placed a deposit. I was then told that someone from the office would call and set up the next steps. This call didn't come and I waited for two weeks. I called them to ask what was up. The person on the phone said that they tried to call, which if they did, I did;t get a call from them. I checked to see what number they had for me and it was correct, so either the person made a mistake or was trying to gaslight me. Either way, we got it set up eventually, even if it was like pulling teeth. On the day of the build I was told that they ordered the wrong doors and we were not going to be able to do it in one day. Whatever, it happens, and I can give them the benefit of the doubt. The builder assured me that there would be a follow-up at no extra cost, so I said we could do the project without the doors and they even provided a tension rod for the meantime. The big issue was with the plumber. I live in a condo building and to do the project we had to turn of water for everyone to do it. That is fine, I gave the building a heads-up and got approval way ahead of time, but we still had a period to do it. I was told this wouldn't be an issue, and it probably wouldn't be if the plumber hadn't made so many mistakes. Long story short, the plumber kept telling me we were good to turn back on the water for the building only to then have me turn it off again. He claimed the first time that it was a defective part, but after going through this song and dance two more times, I find that hard to believe. These mistakes would have been fine if the plumber just owned up to it, and talked to the building manager, but he got so cagey and evasive he became impossible to talk to. Anything, more than just, "we have to turn it back off" would be nice. We were messing with the water for 29 other families and I was catching heat for it by the building manager. Any accountability would have been nice. We went over time, but he figured it out eventually and the rest of the build went fine enough, just no doors. The builder cleaned up and even said that they wouldn't take payment at that time, due to the mistake being on their end. The bank check that I wrote was ready, but no big deal. Or so I thought. Again, getting the office to schedule a follow-up was rough. They, again, didn't call for a few weeks and I had to call them. We made the initial follow-up appointment, only to cancel again and push it back when the doors didn't come in, again. Probably not their fault so, whatever. Finally, the follow-up came and the second builder was just as good as the first and was able to get the doors up promptly, but the whole project lasted much longer than the promised one day, but it was done. When I went to pay with the initial bank check, the builder noticed that they knocked $100 off the final bill. It was a fine gesture, but I wrote a bank check with the initial price and couldn't change it. The builder assured me that it wasn't an issue and that the office would just send me the difference. I would learn then that that solution just made far too much sense for this company to do. I got a call last week, saying that I needed to pay it again and that they would, "shred" the old check. One, that's a lot of trust you are expecting from me. Two, it's a bank check, so the money is already out of my account. Three, why should I have to do this? Are you so incompetent you can't write a check and send it to me? This was caused because you couldn't get it done in one day, like promised. Why inconvenience me even further than you already have? I still haven't heard back about the extra money that was paid, and if I have to eat $100 to never have to talk to them again, I'd say that's a fair price. If you are looking for a one-day remodel job, there are alternatives you should explore before considering this company. read more

My new shower is lovely. Linda, my salesperson, was very patient and provided lots of information. Fergie, my scheduling contact, was also helpful and patient. Tim, Nick, and Jon worked on the installation, and they were very considerate, friendly, and efficient. I was surprised the job was actually done in one day. No false advertising! The only downside is that the new shower forced me to want to paint my bathroom, and that's pooped me out for a few days. All in all, I'm happy I got this new shower. read more

We had a small issue with the soap dish separating. Brad came all the way up from West Bridgewater to put it back up for us. Some of the caulking was chipped as the grandson brings his cars into the tub. He didn't have to fix that but he was kind enough that he did it. We had a bigger issue with the shower head coming out of the wall. They sent a plumber John S. out to correct this issue. The man was very personable. Explained what he had to do and completed the repair to our satisfaction. John had to cut into the wall. He made the cleanest drywall cuts I have ever seen! We had a bath tub to shower conversion. The house is 27 years old and the tub is the original ( standard contractor ) tub that includes the three connected walls around the tub made from the same material as the tub, which was a cast unit ( fiber glass / plastic ? ). Nick the installer and Aaron the plumber did excellent work. Nick and Aaron worked together to remove the old tub. Aaron did the plumbing work and Nick did the installation work for the new shower. The entire job which included the following tasks were all completed in one day ( about 10 hours start to finish ). Tasks may not be in the correct order as shown below. 1 - The old plumbing was removed from the tub and then the tub was cut up and removed from the house. 2 - Sheet rock walls were installed where they were missing ( in back of the old plastic tub walls ) and a thick piece of plywood installed on one wall to support the shower chair we choose as an option for the new shower. 3 - All new plumbing fixtures were installed for the new shower as well as a new drain since the old tub drain didn't line up with the location of the new shower drain, and this was expected before the work began. 4 - The town building inspector arrived ( all coordinated by bath fitter ) to check their work before installing the new shower. All work was approved. 5 - The new shower base was installed. 6 - The three shower walls from shower base to bathroom ceiling were installed. This is one seamless piece of high quality material. 7 - The two shower's sliding glass doors were installed. 8 - The shower options were installed; fixed and removable shower heads, a corner shelf unit, a soap dish, a grab bar and a very sturdy shower seat that pulls down to sit on and pulls up to get it out of the way when not in use. 9 - Caulking was applied everywhere it was needed. 10 - Cleaning up the bathroom before leaving was done very well. read more

I had my bath fitter installed today. Not once did any of the representatives mention color or evening having an option of color upon the consultation and purchasing. The tub color installed was not the color of the acrylic sample shown upon purchasing this fitter. I spent $2300! on a tub fitter to only see the color after the tub was installed. The color does not come close to my entirely tiled bathroom or fixtures. This tub color completely clashes with my bathroom and not once did bathfitter mention options of color UNTIL after the fitter was fully installed. I would have never purchased this bath fitter! For the price of this fitter, I would have went through an installer who at the least, would have the decency to match or be upfront on their product prior to purchasing a $2300 tub! The representative had physically came to my home and seen my tiled bathroom and not once mentioned colors. The value of my bathroom has now drastically lowered in value for re sale and looks cheap, as if I installed this tub myself. Not only did I have to pay for this tub but now I will have to pay to have this tub removed and feel completely robbed. I couldn't even find fixtures to match this color if I wanted to. I'm extremely upset to only find this out and see this product after completion. I also specifically asked the representative If there will be fumes or smells upon instal. I was told no! My entire condo was filled with an adhesive odor. I would have scheduled around my 7 month old baby! having daycare and not be stuck in my 800sqft home all day with little to no ventilation upon installation. I even informed the scheduler I would be home with my child or could schedule a day my child was not home. Not once did anyone within this company take any of this into consideration. I feel extremely ripped off, misled and robbed. Lastly, it's not even the same tub or design as I was told or had purchased. I was told it would be the same exact tub only covered. The bottom is rippled and not flush with my existing tub. This will probably be liable to crack and break. It is far for comfortable to soak sitting on rivets. The side of the tub are extended outward and at an uneven angle Not even in line with the existing tub. read more

Updating Sept 2019 - Steve was awesome to work with and he had Jim come out to fix my issues (faucet and loose ring on safety bar). Just as the installer had been, Jim was an awesome representative for Bath Fitter. Other than the frustration, the install is beautiful and most of the issues I had stemmed from using a subcontractor. Though I recognize that can't be avoided all the time, the actual Bath Fitter employees I dealt with, well mostly, were fantastic and I'd sing their praises. **** I will update the review when/if they ever get back to me. So I had bath fitter here 1.5 weeks ago to update my shower/bath in my condo. Due to the size and shape of my bathroom, they had me get a plumber come out to remove my toilet before they could do their work. I arranged it and the arrived at 8am. The bath fitter installer arrived at 8:20. He did an hour of work and had to stop. I asked how long before their plumber would be here and he said an hour. We had the maintenance guy on site to shut off the water to the building. I went out with my dog around 11:30 (still no plumber) and overheard the installer trying to reach find out where the plumber was. I asked him what was going on - last he knew, the plumber was 1 hrs away. Ok... so the kicker is I need the install finished by 3 for the other plumber to come back and reset my toilet. Bath fitter sales person said it would be done by 4 and i called and asked if 3 would be a doable time for the reset and was told yes. At 12:30, their plumber shows up. Doesn't apologize- he's nice, but no reference to being so late. Just comes in to start working. We shut off the water, he installed the valve. Then he informs me he installed the wrong valve so they have to do it over. At 2:21, plumber still here, i confirm with the installer that i can't get the toilet reset at 3 as scheduled because of this delay. I call the other plumber to let them know bath fitter wouldn't be ready in time for the scheduled reset. I ask if they'd come first thing in the morning. Their plumber leaves at 2:30. The installer can now get back to work. He works hard to get this install done knowing I'm annoyed. He doesn't leave until 6:30pm. The installer does a great job - assuming i have no issues i love the job he did. I still have no toilet, so i try to call bath fitter office but they've closed for the day. so I make the decision to go to a pet friendly hotel. I have to be back super early, so I stayed in Billerica even tho the cost was higher than I would have liked. I couldn't stay here all night without a toilet! I called bathfitter the next day about covering the cost of the hotel and the master plumber tried to blame the other plumber for not doing the toilet reset. I said "the only issues were YOUR plumber being late and YOUR plumber installing the wrong valve. If those two things hadn't happened, the job would have been completed on time." He said multiple times "it's the nature of construction" super frustrated with the him. He tried to talk over me... which made me talk louder and it sorta got loud. He informed that he didn't "authorize a $$$ hotel" and told me i should have gone to Maine for ocean front property for that money. Considering i needed to be close to meet the plumber and have a 55lb dog i was limited. I was dissatisfied with the tone and attitude of this call and I'm specifically not using a name. The next day, I heard from Steve, I like to call him the fixer, because he clearly handles the angry customers. It started rough, but ultimately he and i were able to have a decent discussion about the situation. He still kept with trying to say it wasn't their plumbers fault, but Considering their whole business plan is getting a bathroom done in a day... the fact their plumber was so late definitely impacted that. In my opinion, poor job scheduling was a driving factor of this issue. But I liked and enjoyed speaking with Steve. That being said, I've emailed and called a couple times since then about the faucet not being flush to the wall and a loose ring around the safety bar I had added... also, their plumber mentioned needing an inspection, so I'm waiting to be contacted for these 3 things. Overall, assuming no issues, the product seems nice and looks great - total upgrade but so far the customer service has been lacking in a few ways. I had read good reviews of the product but sadly the local site is leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Here's a real kicker, talking to a few neighbors that have used them... none of them had to remove their toilet and we have the exact same bathrooms, so all of this frustration could have been avoided if they hadn't said it needed to come out. read more

Looking for a tub liner so I called Bath Fitter - Billerica. I have nice tile on the walls so I do not need/want a surround. Scheduled an appointment for Sat morning at 9 am for them to come by and give me a quote. Mark the Bath Fitter guy calls me at 8:40 am Sat and tells me he is running 10 minutes late then asks me what I am looking to do. I tell him looking for a tub liner only as I have nice tile, fairly new. POOF his whole demeanor changes. He asks.... "no walls, ceiling or plumbing, really?" Yes, I said, just the liner. Well, he says... "I'll get there when I can." Huh? What? You just told me you were running 10 minutes behind, now you tell me pretty much "whenever" is when I'll be there. I ask what he means and he says, "look, I'm on my way.". Shows up and meanders around the driveway then comes to the door. I let him in then asked him if there was something wrong, it seemed he didn't really want to be here, as his whole demeanor changed on the phone when he learned the job would ONLY be a tub liner. In the spirit of he doth protest too much, he goes on about how I was wrong and he treats each and every lead the same. Well, I said, it was clear that his attitude changed when he learned it was just a liner. I can only assume COMMISSION was on his mind. All along he has this attitude and projects that he just wants to be done with this..... I tell him I am just looking for a quote on a tub liner only.... he blurts out "Quote a liner? Well, we tell everyone $2,000 for the liner". He left without even seeing the potential job. I had read not-so-great reviews about the liners leaking as a common problem where water gets between the liner and tub itself and results in mold. I had also read not-so-great reviews about the customer service out of this Billerica location as well, and guess what? The custoimer service attitude was absent... the "I get commissions attitude came right thru. Never, Never use these guys. read more

This is our second time with Bath fitter. I had my home in Concord done 10 year ago and it still looks great. I just had them replace the bath and shower unit in one of our Condo in Boxborough ma. When Jim the Plumber was replacing the water units he found a problem with the old plumbing. Jim and Nick the installer went to work to find me replacement for them to finish the job. They did have to come back with a different Tub. But I was expecting problem for a unit that was build in 1973. We were able to reschedule and this time Nick the installer and a new plumber named John arrived on time and got right to work. I just love the new unit. It came out wonderful. We are also using this Bath fitters for another job in Lexington soon. What a wonderful company and their staff are funny and personable. Bath Fitter of Woburn/North Billerica installed a shower surround and bath tub cover in our bathroom. The product itself is pretty well made and durable but our service experience has been poor. Poor installation, trim piece is already falling off. Messy caulking job around our trim and the drain was installed incorrectly causing a water leak from the tub down to our dining room which required an emergency service call from a plumber to rectify, then plaster repair and painting. I still have a trim piece that is now falling off and a ceiling in my dining room that flashes were the patch was made in the plaster. I Installed my own shower rod and fixed off center shower handle after the installer left the first time. Had them come back to polish out scratches in the acrylic and asked him to clean up the caulking, then noticed the water in the 1st floor later in the day. Management has been helpful to have repairs done but buyer beware. read more

One star for now, we replaced our our tub unit in our "upstairs" bathroom in December 2018. I really liked the work that was initially done. What occured is, I went in to the back of a clothes closet downstairs and well some of the articles were wet. The insert had been in for two weeks!! I went to check where the leak was coming from, pulled the cover off in bathroom closet that exposes pipes and when water was turned on there was some leakage. I called Bath Fitter in Billerica and the plumber came and fixed it that day (great) and took pictures of the closet area. My husband was told something was not put on a pipe...So I gave them a week and hoped I would hear from somebody (that was stupid). I called and was put on hold and then told the plumber was out and someone would call me. Now why do I have to talk to the plumber about compensation for the leak!!!! anyway no call. read more
