Horrible customer service. Really rude and incompetent. They told me they adjusted my derailleur. They did not. It was grinding. I took it back and Jesse refused to adjust it properly, citing "all the time we put into this bike". I told him to take it down and I would do it myself. Unbelievable. Love the idea of bike riding in Maine, but our bikes are equipped with center-pull rim brakes, not the greatest for the steep downhill portion of a ride. I checked in with Bikeman to find out if they could re-fit one of our bikes with a rear disc brake. Forrest was my point-of-contact and he told me the bike could be easily fitted with one, and at reasonable cost. Dropped the bike off on a Tue morning and picked it up 48 hrs later. Great service and uniformly knowledgeable and friendly staff. If/when time comes for service and/or a new bike, Bath Cycle & Ski will be my destination. Highly recommended. NavySpy read more

I just had a fantastic experience at Bath Cycle & Ski. It's not the easiest environment for any brick and mortar retail store in these days of Covid, but they are doing a great job, giving appropriate attention to safety, and still providing the service and quality I seek in my LBS. I had purchased a new Thesis OB1 gravel bike direct from Thesis (the only way they can be purchased), and it was delivered 85% assembled. I did not have the proper tools nor the knowledge to do the rest, so I brought it to Zach at the shop. Despite how busy Bath Cycle & Ski are these days (as are most bike shops), he found the time to finish the job perfectly, get me riding in less than 24 hours, and charged a very fair and reasonable sum. We spend most of the month of July in the Bath area each summer. I'm a devoted customer from now on. I look forward to the day they can open their doors and allow customers inside again. read more

I stopped here mid-ride because my bike is fairly new and I haven't quite figured out the shifting thing on a road bike yet so naturally I thought the bike had broken when I fell over on it (obviously I haven't figured out my life yet and clip-in pedals, you know what I'm talking about). That being said the guys here were amazing! I didn't have an appointment but they stopped what they were working on to help me out. They took the time to check over my bike, tuned up my gears a bit, and explain why I was having such a hard time. By the time I got back on my bike I felt a lot better about my life (or at least making it the 6 miles home in one piece). Absolutely amazing service! It's the day before Christmas Eve and I was in a rush to get my new bindings mounted onto my skis to go skiing the day after Christmas. I would have thought that it might take a few days or more, assuming they were busy around the holidays, but they were on their A-game today! I dropped off my skis and bindings around 03:00pm and they gave me a call letting me know that they were done and ready to be picked up at 04:00pm. Nice people, quality work and great prices! I am so grateful to have contacted Carver bicycles for help on a custom project. A bicycle is a very personal thing especially if you have come to the point that you are reaching out to manufacturers and fabricators to assist you in achieving your vision. So after having made some hasty decisions and misplaced trust in a prominent fabricator and manufacturer lead to an incomplete bicycle and some unwanted complications due to personality issues, coming into contact with Davis Carver and carver bicycles has been nothing short of a god send as he has been nothing but helpful and professional and easy to work with. With his upbeat attitude and creative solutions he has really helped turn things around and get me headed toward completing the bike of my dreams and I am so appreciative. The work I have received so far has been fantastic and delivered in a timely manner. I really feel comfortable moving forward with having work done now because he has been up front about everything and seems to have a genuine interest in my project and seeing it completed. Also It was nice to have been contacted by Davis personally and have him taking care of business and coming up with creative solutions without letting his ego get in the way which is what you might expect from someone who has his name on the side of his own line of bicycles, but its been good working with him. I have a custom cruiser bicycle that now has the perfect pair of much needed titanium forks and soon to be matching pair of custom Ti handle bars..I have also been helped with a bottom bracket solution for an off sized spindle and a creative fix with a headset upgrade. And plans have been drawn up for a Titanium frame.... Davis Carver and Carver bicycles has definitely earned my business. read more
