Marissa= horrible attitude, during the holidays you shouldn't work in an environment like this if you can't handle numerous customers. Ok

Wasn't even greeted at the counter after saying hello to Heather with blonde hair. She's not friendly or very professional.

Nice gifts from leather goods, candles, soaps, jewelry, books, stationary, kids clothing, greeting cards, etc. The establishment is a great size, and the customer service is on point. I love these types of stores that have all VA inspired items. Supporting small businesses like this one makes a difference. I loved both of my purchases and can't wait to return back to support even more.

We were visiting Occoquan on a Monday and just happened to venture into this store and we're glad we did! My wife and I are expecting our first child and Gift and Gather had a really cute selection of onesies, bibs, small dolls, etc. When we entered the store, we were quickly greeted and welcomed into the store. Parking was easy and they had street parking right out front. Aside from cute baby stuff, they also had handmade/locally sourced soaps, gifts, shirts, etc. They had some items featuring dogs and things like that. They had a selection of fine tea and also really nice shaving/razor sets for men. Some really great gift ideas. As we finished up our visit and checked out the lady made some nice lunch suggestions, other stores she liked, and events coming up in Occoquan. She also did a really nice job of wrapping our purchase and tissue paper and a nice bag --a huge plus if you're shopping for a gift. We will definitely visit Gift & Gather next time we're in Occoquan! I added some photos (note they are from the business's Facebook page).

Mrs. White has been a Georgetown staple for years, and January had been a difficult month. Although I'm a firm believer in God, I was vulnerable and wanted reassurance that leaving a relationship was the right decision. I walked in weary and walked out genuinely stunned. Mrs. White immediately identified the toxic nature of the relationship. She said not even the truth could pull me away because he presented himself as a gift. She said I was the gift and all his friends knew this and constantly validated this to him. Said he had never been this in love with anyone but that his pride, arrogance and stubbornness would be his greatest regret. He most certainly was stubborn and his friends would always praise me so this I took as truth. She said he would never apologize and that his refusal would be what I needed most. She told me fear was keeping me from meeting the man truly meant for me. She even said the man I'd eventually meet would offer more than meals and considering that dining out was essentially the only thing my ex and I ever did, that detail struck me. There was no way she could have known that. She then said he had lied throughout the entire relationship, something I already knew but she went further. She described the exact moments I caught him in his lies. Hearing those moments spoken aloud was more painful than living them. There is no way she could have known the details she shared: She said he lied about his age, that was true. She said the women who wouldn't let him go, even knowing about me, were missing a father figure and that explained a lot. She said his friendships with women crossed boundaries, which is exactly why I left. She also said his friendship with the fatherless and estranged mother was the demise of our relationship. This was also true. She said the fact that he had never been married and had no children at his age should have been a red flag and in hindsight, she wasn't wrong. How she knew this about him was shocking! She said he surrounded himself with women who had issues in life so he could feel like a hero and given the constant drama around him via them, that made perfect sense. Then she mentioned something that truly shocked me: she said an older woman with a boat had once mistaken me for his daughter. That moment actually happened, a lady approached us and asked if I was his daughter. Mrs. White said that was the universe showing me the age gap was too large. The fact that she referenced the boat and that this exact situation occurred was jaw‑dropping. She also said his female friend with "wounds" would take me to court, and that time would allow the fool to flee. At the time, I dismissed it. Fast‑forward to April it unfolded exactly as she described. Mrs. White also said he had been texting another woman, apologizing for not being able to meet but suggesting they could at least get drinks. She said their relationship was more than the "one meal a year" story he told me. I already knew this because I had read the message myself, but hearing her say, "You saw the things he hid and you still stayed," hit differently. She said time would reveal the truth and it has. She even told me his mother had recently passed, that was true. Incredible to hear all this from her and she was a complete stranger until that day! I didn't walk in looking for magic. I walked in looking for clarity. And somehow, she spoke directly to the truth I had been avoiding. There is no way she could have known all the times I caught him in his lies, yet she listed them one by one. She even said, "I'm not the first to tell you these things you knew in real time." And she was right. I caught him every single time without prying or snooping. This experience was remarkable. Worth every penny. For those who don't believe, I understand but the clarity this brought into my life was invaluable. She also offers a selection of crystals and other items. Sage to clear the bad aura of people! Candles, everything is cute in there! I'm not a believer in all psychics, but Mrs. White? I believe in. There is simply no way she could have known this much detail. Oh, and the suitors she said I'd find, she said they'd be generous and give me more in a month than he did in a year and honestly that has happened too! Self worth and self respect always win! Love alone is never enough. Lesson: Run for your life when an old man lies. 15 year age gap is too big to still be a liar. After one year and no progression, leave. Oh, and know your worth!

I like the store and most of the products (Though shame on you IKEA for removing the Ektorp line…read morefrom North America and replacing it with the inferior Uppland line, yet continue carrying it overseas.) however their delivery vendors need better vetting. I have had extremely bad experiences twice - once in 2016 and now in December 2025. In 2016, I was given a delivery window and they did not show. I allowed a two hour grace period because I lived in Fredericksburg and IYKYK. But at hour four, I started looking for ways to contact the vendor. Back then, you could call customer service and get them to call the vendor and have them call you. The vendor called and said delivery was attempted but they could not locate the residence and I did not answer when they called. Not true. If you ever have waited for something like a scheduled delivery or service call, YOU SIT BY YOUR PHONE, RIGHT??? No missed calls. I asked to speak to the driver who then said they would have left it out front, but it did not look like a good area. In front of what? If the could not find it, how would they know what the area looked like. I sent photos of my street to show the management my side of the argument- they should have been able to locate it. Especially since I described the location in detail in delivery instructions along with my phone number if they had questions. My delivery fee was not returned and I declined redelivery. I went to IKEA in three trips and 50 year old, 5ft , girly me with no coordination and even less upper body strength dragged in two dressers, a cabinet, two bookcases, and a desk. Fast forward (or not) to today. My delivery window was 8-12. At 1:30 I tracked the delivery through the app, but all it gave me was the time window. It did give me the option to text the driver. I chose the custom text option (you can choose to have the driver call you or send them a custom text) and texted them to please let me know when they'd be arriving. At 1:45, chose the call me option. At 2:00, I texted, "CONTACT ME BY 2:15 TO TELL ME WHEN YOU WILL BE HERE OR THE TIP THAT HAS ALREADY BEEN CUT IN HALF WILL BE ZERO!" At 2:30, I get a text saying, "Sorry for the delay. On my way." I asked "When?" Thirty minutes later he texts back between 4-5 - when I can't be home. So he will have to leave it outside the garage and I'll get to drag it in then unbox and move pieces in bit by bit. I understand that things run behind (thus the two hour buffer). But if you can't deliver until 4 or 5pm (It's the DC Metro area...Vaya con Dios) then DON'T SAY BETWEEN 8am-12pm. If you can, order online and go pick it up at the order pick up queue. Much less of a headache.
