The choices run the gamut of cards, clothing, hats, purses, table linens, jewelry. Terrific selection of items. A nice courtyard welcomes visitors to come, browse and learn about historic Old Mesilla. And everything reasonably priced. Quite surprising for a small locally owned shop in a tourist area. The staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and quick to make recommendations for other businesses that might offer a specific item not on offer through the shop. I highly recommend stopping by (they also stay open a little later than many of the local shops in the area so you have extra time to browse for something special!).

I see all these awesome crafts on line and I'm like, I need that. Fortunately Las Cruces has a Hobby Lobby. Oh, Hobby Lobby, how i love your aisles and aisles of cacahuetes. (For some reason my grandma used to refer to junk trinkets/home decor as cacahuetes) The cool thing was, the other day I went in with a poster that was odd sized and needed a mat cut and they didn't charge me for cutting the mat - only charged me for the mat. Kinda cool, huh? Anyways, it's Hobby Lobby, and partnered with Pinterest, it chases some of my boredom away.

Their selection is excellent, with the majority of plants being those that grow well outdoors in the Las Cruces area, but with many other options for growth in green houses or indoors. This is one of the first places that I have seen carnivorous plants for sale, not the anemic Venus fly traps that sometime turn up at Home Depot, but a large selection of multiple species. Las visit, I noticed that their Oleander has been trimmed to look like a tree (I would estimate it is 15 ft tall). I was so inspired by their idea, that I have begun to trim my Oleanders to achieve the same effect. So what is the trade off for shopping here . . . it is a bit pricier than the big box stores. But that being said, the quality, selection, and knowledge base of the staff more than makes up for the negligible price difference.
