I placed an online order for ornaments that I previously ordered over the summer that have since gone missing since I moved over the summer. I have hunted for these ornaments at Hallmark stores closer to me only to find out that they have not been available. Most of the ornaments were available at this location which was just over an hour's drive from where I live now. I placed my order and received an email that my order was being processed. Some time later, I get another email that my order was "cancelled," but when I open the email, my order was not cancelled. Only one of the ornaments was cancelled because it was actually not available. Total bummer as that was one of the harder ones to find. I wish someone would have called me instead of sending out an email, but maybe that was from the online/corporate side. I have no idea, but at the same time, someone in the store must have seen my order come through and that's how the email came back to me to generate the email, right? That's the only thing that I can determine on my end. Not long after this cancellation email, I get another email letting me know that my order has been fully processed and my order is available for pick up. Great, right? Not so much. As I plan out which day I can drive out to Hickory (I have 2 kids in school that I have to figure out the best day to plan around), I get an email a day or so later letting me know my order has been picked up. Hmmm... well who picked it up? I didn't put anyone else's name down to pick up the ornaments except my name. Surely they would have checked the ID upon pick up, right? I call the store several times and wouldn't you know the phone number gives me a busy signal each time. I call Hallmark.com to try to remedy the situation because I used my reward coupons on this order and I would normally ordered from them online, but some of the ornaments were not available from them. UGH!!!! The lady I spoke to couldn't believe my situation and was immediately helpful. She even tried calling the store a few times and got the same busy signal. (Super annoying.) I don't know who to contact as there are no other phone numbers listed for this store anywhere and if the online store can't get in touch with them either, this is not a good sign. Don't call this store from the phone number listed here. As of December 2021, the number doesn't work. If you place an order online and choose to "pick up" at this store beware that someone else might be able to get your order before you do and you'll be SOL. I've been trying to find these ornaments at other places and it's been pretty tough, but I know I won't try this store again.

The smell goods are the best here and the scents draw you in starting right outside the store. Candles and lighting are great here, too and there's plenty to choose from. Staff are always make shopping a pleasure, they're very friendly and courteous! This little joy spot is just right inside the mall entrance on the back side between Belk and JCPenney. After all, there's no place like home especially after you've given it a "plush update" from Kirkland's!

The day of my appointment my selected stylist for the service called me asking if I could come in early. I said most likely I would be able to be their by 2 pm and I would call before arriving to ensure she was still available. I did call but the the stylist did not pick up. I arrived at Ulta around 1:45 pm and let the person at the service register know that I was there early at the request of my stylist and to move my 4 pm appointment to her OPEN 2 pm slot. Was told she would be with me shortly. At 1:58 PM I returned to the desk to let them know I was still waiting. Was told by this person that my stylist was finishing up her current appointment. I went to the restroom, came back and sat down to wait. At 2:20 PM I stood up and realized the stylist was working on a new customer! I looked around for someone to explain the situation and no one was available. I when to the front desk and informed the women who checked me in that I was leaving and not coming back! To say I was angry is putting it mildly. Here's the thing, if they or the stylist had told me that she got booked between her calling and me showing up, I would have been fine. I would completed some other task I needed to do and had planned on doing before my 4 PM appointment anyway. DO NOT waste my time! They wasted 45 minutes of my life on my birthday and didn't offer an apology. Communication is key! I went out of my way to accommodate a request to come in early only to be treated like I didn't exist! So, my son and I went to Sephora and I spent my money there! Spend your money somewhere else with better customer service.

Overall the prices weren't bad with most name brands about $10-$15 less than what I see elsewhere so for example a pair of Sketchers is normally around $60 but here they were $45. But don't pass up the clearance just outside the front door. This is where they put the shoes that have limited sizes left. Get a good deal before you ever get in the door.
