When we went up to the third floor, I wasn't very impressed with their antiques mainly because there were so few things, but when we got to the basement, boy was it something else! The whole floor was covered from floor to walk, with a very narrow walk space. It was cool too because there was a man there who was basically bargaining with anyone looking at things down there. This is a great place to get gifts...especially if your loved ones love antiques! The candle floor was also impressive. The best thing I found and absolutely love is candles made in cups/bowls that smell like your baking something tasty in the kitchen. I can't wait to go back!

It was so much fun to sit at the mini bar and munch on appetizers while making our candles. The staff was awesome and helped each of us through each step, which was lots of work for such a large group! They took the time to help us mix and choose our scents and the candles smell awesome! The only problem occurred after we got our candles home and started to burn them. We paid extra to get the Fire Glass/Crystal candles. When we finished they were gorgeous! But once got home and we lit our candles, the Fire Glass started sinking into the wax. After blowing out the candle and it cooled, you could no longer see the Fire Glass! The only way to see it is to light it again, but it no longer sparkles like it did when we first made the candle. This is such a disappointment! We all wish that they had let us know this would happen, before we all paid the extra $$ for the Fire Glass!

She let me experience a scent that she's currently making as well as a new release called Amalfi coast. The scents are available in candles, parfums, roll on scents, body wash and hand lotion. We started by smelling several scents, they have 90 scents to smell - I skipped some that weren't appealing like bacon and old books LOL Be sure to grab you a bag of coffee beans to cleanse your scent palette. I don't want to spoil the process so I won't tell you everything! So just go ahead and make a reservation, the fee goes towards your reservation at the end. I'm going to wait 2 weeks before light my custom candle so that I get the best scent payout. It's worth the money. You can make a candle, room diffuser, and/or room spray. You write down all of your favorites and then narrow it down your list to the top 4 scents you think smell best together to create your own signature candle. You can also make a reed defuser, room spray, or soap as an alternative option. Before pouring the wax and mixing your scents, you choose from their selection of jars, ranging in price around $40-60. After creating your candle and naming your scent, it takes around 90-120 minutes for it set. I think the experience could be elevated with a few things: An option to customize your candle with glitter, color of wick, color of wax, ability to select a cute label with your scent's name or create one, even a label maker would do the trick. They have some cute vessels, but I would love to see more variety in different styles, colors, and sizes. I asked the owner, Marleen what ingredients were in the fragrance oils and she couldn't really give me a complete answer other than they are not 100% essential oils but they're synthetic and safe because they don't buy them from overseas. hmmm.... With that said, I'm sure they contain toxins like phthalates and ethyl methoxycinnamates. Reputable brands of oils will clearly label their products and disclose all the components. I try to use scents, body care, and household cleaners free from toxins so this is a little concerning not knowing what chemicals are in the candle. I'm sensitive to irritants which aggravate my asthma and also give me headaches. I just wish i knew for sure what was in this magical potion of oils we mixed. Overall, I had a fun time and made some great memories. It's a unique activity for a date night or group outing with friends that all ages can enjoy.
