Tons of books and decks to choose from. Huge collection of crystals from raw to tumbled and cleansing material. Since the summer flash flood the store has re arranged and the set it still amazing and flowy.

Call it Yankee Candle or Confederate Light House, people still swarm all over this seasonal shop for its awesome deals and its infinite candle variety in all colors, sizes, and smells. Though I've seen it in many malls across many states, this is actually the first time I've ever stepped into a Yankee Candle store. To my surprise, it smells nice in here, It's clean, uncluttered, and noticeably spacious. As strange as it sounds, it does set a slight mood of tranquility. It's probably busiest during the holiday season. The aromas from all of the scented candles combined to create a lot of pop-and-sniff action from patrons visiting here. Prices are generally a little higher than most candles one will find in generic arts and craft stores, but the variety is unmatched. Be sure to stop in here when they have deals like I did, as many of the candles were 50-75% off.

It is also a fantastic place to find unique gifts - from newborn items to jewelry. And the gift wrap is the best in town. Hands down my favorite store!

They have a little of everything, from cute gift and coffee table books to stationary to candles and jewelry to all sorts of home accessories. I am always greeted with a smile and given my space to explore. Staff offers assistance with gift ideas, gives the history behind the products they carry, and are willing to go above and beyond to make sure you are satisfied. About a year ago, they moved around the corner (same building) to a bigger space, and now you can see the treasures a little better. While some items are pricey, The Queen Bee isn't charging more than you would pay to purchase them elsewhere, and items go on sale now and then, so you can find even more to take home with you. The Queen Bee supports other local businesses in the area, and now and then you will find they have items like a local baker's cookies (don't pass them up). I will continue coming back time and time again.

I purchased raspberry vanilla and strawberry melon sprays and they smelled lovely and are gonna be perfect for my home. I enjoyed walking around smelling all the other candles and merchandise they had. I just fell in love with this store!…read more I am a Houstonian. The store recently had a booth at our annual holiday market in Houston - The Nutcracker Market. I vowed that next time I was in Baton Rouge I'd have to visit the real deal! And I didn't break my promise to myself! I was in for such a treat! I didn't buy much but I could spend hours and hours in the store browsing their many rooms. What doesn't this store offer??? It's a wonderland of fun for ladies! You can find gifts for yourself or loved ones ranging from clothes, jewelry, houseware, lotions, purses, jewelry bags, mugs, wedding gifts, candles, LSU attire, blankets, children's clothing holiday items (depending on th holiday - as they were switching out their Christmas inventory to Mardi Gras). I'm telling you - rooms and rooms of countless option of any occasion! The employees were very helpful and answered a few questions I had about their jewelry. Mind you, a lot of their stuff is made in China (what isn't these days). Just be a smart consumer on what you are purchasing. I wish I had had more time to spend at the store, as I was visiting a friend and we were on limited time. Definitely a worthwhile place to just check out and window shop! You won't be disappointed!

My mom, daughter, and I checked it out today and we're lucky to find a parking spot as the small lot was full and so was the side road off Government. Tip: the entrance and parking are not facing Government Street, so look for the big "FLEURTY GIRL" sign on the building then turn down the side road. I was surprised to see just how much this store has! Everything from cute LSU and Saints boutique clothes, shoes, purses, earrings, etc to hilarious coasters and dish towels. Cute items for fans of Dolly, Taylor Swift, the Golden Girls, etc. Too much to type, so my advice is if you need a gift, go to Fleurty Girl! Definitely can find something Louisiana natives will love and cherish or something to make everyone laugh. Prices seem reasonable too, so have fun shopping!

The store is located at Government Street and Terry Drive, and there is a small parking lot associated with it. Street parking is also available if there are a lot of customers when you visit. The store has all the favorites -LSU, SU, and Saints attire, body glitter, the infamous t-shirts, the door hangers, quippy housewares, earrings, socks, baby items, and so much more. Staff was really friendly and appropriately attentive. They allow you to try on items in the shared bathroom (there is a small nail salon and small hair salon also on the property). Hopefully they will start to have more Baton Rouge specific art and items in the store and adapt to the area (like they did in Bay St. Louis). Lots of their items are very New Orleans focused, but i assume with time, that could change. Looking forward to seasonal visits to check out all the things! Thanks for finally making your way to BTR!
