I went to Blue Plum dental, who kicked me out due to my anxiety. So, I chose to go to Johnson City Dental instead, knowing my insurance wouldn't cover their services. Dr. Patel took care of my health even when it was hard on her. She did the same for husband who has had to have 2 tooth extractions due to a broken tooth. I would gladly choose to pay 100% out of pocket to go here than somewhere that accepts my insurance.

I've had extractions, cleanings, and root canals at Dr Moore's office, and everyone there is so kind and knowledgeable, I just won't go anywhere else. I haven't needed it, but they do provide sedation dentistry for folks who have a dental fear. I would recommend them to anyone. This is a hard mix to find, especially in the medical profession. I was particularly impressed with my parents' last visit. This practice has taken all of the necessary steps to protect their patients against COVID-19. For example, we waited in the car until it was time for my parents' appointment. Staff came wearing masks to the car and escorted my parents inside and returned my parents at the end of the appointment. Also, staff took the time to explain the results of their exam to me and invited me to use their restroom or bring coffee back to our car while I waited. This was a very nice touch. My parents and Johnson City are very fortunate to have Dr. Moore's practice.

Gracie is my hygienist and when I had my teeth cleaned the first time by her, I was amazed, she took her time, gave me a very thorough cleaning unlike I had ever had. There is a huge tv-monitor hanging from the ceiling and there is always something interesting showing and it is very relaxing. The lady who explained the coding just acted helpless as if she couldn't possibly be expected to give a customer heads up that when their child turned 14, the insurance would no longer consider him a child. I personally think that is not something she just discovered, and did not know when your office sent texts to me to update info and confirm the appt. How about, "oh, it's another 14 y.o. we better send a statement that dental insurance isn't covered because he's an adult? Because $220 for a cleaning? How about "do you want to skip xrays?" How about do the uncomfortable task of holding your staff to a higher standard of care and consideration for the patient- including yourself instead of ignoring that I already spoke to your office management. They know who I am. And if they didn't convey that to you, consider that. If they did tell you and you know who I am because they told you, don't bother writing responses that aren't sincere.
