This is the fruit and vegetable stall (located at the east end of the market) that we use all the time in Vilanova: the produce always seems fresh (and certainly lasts a lot longer than in the UK) and properly ripe, and provides astonishing value compared with the UK. The staff are very friendly jolly, in fact - and helpful, and if you do a major shop (5 Euros or so), they'll give regulars a big bunch of parsley for free.
They tend to sell only local produce - so they don't sell pineapples, for example. There are, of course, other options, so if you want something a bit different, it's always worth looking at some of the other stalls. read more
