We found Bastrop Firewood Delivery online after an unsuccessful attempt on Facebook Marketplace with a bogus wood delivery service. I do not recommend wood delivery from someone who is not verified! Bastrop Firewood has a website and a social media presence! He responded quickly to my call and followed my husbands specific delivery instructions! We ordered wood from these folks for the second year in a row. From first contact to delivery it took 14 days to get the delivery. We attempted to communicate with them by text, email and voicemail, most of which went unanswered. The communication we did receive from them was basically we are busy and you'll get your wood when we get around to it. It's sad really because just a year ago these folks were stellar. Just moved to Belterra from another state and needed firewood fast. Called around and everyone was telling me a week or more for delivery. Allison with Bastrop called me back in a couple of hours and scheduled delivery for the very next day. A big storm was coming in and Dan (owner) and his helper didn't complain while they stacked the wood in my backyard and patio. I received a generous 1/2 Cord of post oak that is burning great. He even asked if I had a bucket so he could give us kindling to use for any outdoor fires. Dan is also a Veteran which I love to support. Impressed with the service and professionalism exhibited in carrying out my delivery. Bastrop Firewood is best firewood delivery experience I have ever had hands down, I go through 3-4 cords a year and have had quite a few deliveries from guys I've found on craigslist. As others have stated these guys are professionals through and through. Daniel and his guys are not your seasonal woodcutters selling wood on the side of the road from a trailer in the winter. He is a professional lumberjack, beard and all. I'm used to expecting dudes who seasonally sell wood during the winter and are unreliable. Within minutes of placing my order online I received a phone call from Allison. She explained the delivery process in detail. She told me that the delivery would be catered specifically around my schedule. I said ok and gave them a time, Daniel showed up 30 minutes earlier than the time we had agreed on and immediately started unloading my firewood to the spot that I wanted it stacked. They took great care in moving around my property and even took a few minutes to get acquainted with my dog (who is kinda grumpy.) I did a custom order which was a little more pricy but I like the way round pieces smoke more than split. It consisted of half rounds and half split. It was just as I wanted. Bastrop Firewood Rocks!! Daniel, the owner, is phenomenal and willing to work with even the weirdest requests outta Austin! Don't hesitate to contact him if you've got a wood need that isn't specifically called out on their "buy firewood" page. I facilitate and tend for firewalks in the Austin area, our favorite wood to use for temperature and coaling properties is seasoned red heart'ed cedar. We like it cut to a specific size and when we approached Daniel he was more than happy to work with us. He delivered exactly what we requested on more than one occasion and we've had beautiful burns and firewalks.
