I met Dan recently through some mutual friends. I don't use wood for burning but rather for crafting. While I don't need as much wood as others who use it for cooking/smoking or whatnot, this group is always eager to help in any way they can by providing quality wood pieces that are ready to use. Quick story: we were having a bbq and we were all relaxing. Dan got an emergency call from a client needing firewood. He stopped what he was doing to attend to them and get them what they needed. He definitely does all he can to place customers first. Need wood? Dan's got it! read more

We've called on Bastrop Firewood several times and they've been great. Wood is great and they got us through snowpocalypse.

This veteran and family-owned business have given us exceptional service. They were kind and went out of their way to provide us with what we needed. I will be using them again for our firewood needs. read more

Well seasoned wood and prompt delivery. Just realize that the logs are 16" long and not 24" as in a full half cord (half cord should be 8'x4'x2'). read more

I have bought a cord per year of BBQ wood from Dan at Bastrop Firewood for 4 years now. The wood is always good quality, seasoned and ready to burn but not old, and is an honest full cord. Dan cheerfully stacks it where you want it and has good information to share about selecting wood species. When I call Dan he is ready to deliver the next morning. I recommend Bastrop Firewood to my friends who are happy with their service too. Dan is a veteran and will treat you with similar military respect. I highly recommend Bastrop Firewood! read more

Getting ready for fire pit season and the snow storm wiped us out of wood! We found Bastrop Firewood Delivery online after an unsuccessful attempt on Facebook Marketplace with a bogus wood delivery service. I do not recommend wood delivery from someone who is not verified! Bastrop Firewood has a website and a social media presence! He responded quickly to my call and followed my husbands specific delivery instructions! Wood was stacked nicely and is ready to burn!!! read more

We ordered wood from these folks for the second year in a row. From first contact to delivery it took 14 days to get the delivery. We attempted to communicate with them by text, email and voicemail, most of which went unanswered. The communication we did receive from them was basically we are busy and you'll get your wood when we get around to it. It's sad really because just a year ago these folks were stellar. The good news is that we requested small pieces and once received, that's what we got. read more

What a difference a year makes. Last year the service was exemplary. This year, no calls, no communication and no firewood. Don't pay in advance. It seems to delay the process. read more

Just moved to Belterra from another state and needed firewood fast. Called around and everyone was telling me a week or more for delivery. Allison with Bastrop called me back in a couple of hours and scheduled delivery for the very next day. A big storm was coming in and Dan (owner) and his helper didn't complain while they stacked the wood in my backyard and patio. I received a generous 1/2 Cord of post oak that is burning great. He even asked if I had a bucket so he could give us kindling to use for any outdoor fires. Dan is also a Veteran which I love to support. Dan & Allison take their business seriously and it shows in their product and service. I will definitely be using them again! read more

Pukka! Great firewood, great service prompt delivery. Dan couldn't have been more helpful with my fire building project. One of those rare businesses that I would recommend in an instant. read more

I ordered again from Bastrop Firewood (like I did last year) and they were prompt and actually asked us what size logs we wanted. When have you ever heard that? Their wood was fantastic last year -- very seasoned and ready to burn. And a bonus -- they gave us a really nice bucket of kindling. I will go with them again next year! read more

Impressed with the service and professionalism exhibited in carrying out my delivery. Bastrop Firewood is best firewood delivery experience I have ever had hands down, I go through 3-4 cords a year and have had quite a few deliveries from guys I've found on craigslist. As others have stated these guys are professionals through and through. Daniel and his guys are not your seasonal woodcutters selling wood on the side of the road from a trailer in the winter. He is a professional lumberjack, beard and all. I'm used to expecting dudes who seasonally sell wood during the winter and are unreliable. Within minutes of placing my order online I received a phone call from Allison. She explained the delivery process in detail. She told me that the delivery would be catered specifically around my schedule. I said ok and gave them a time, Daniel showed up 30 minutes earlier than the time we had agreed on and immediately started unloading my firewood to the spot that I wanted it stacked. They took great care in moving around my property and even took a few minutes to get acquainted with my dog (who is kinda grumpy.) I did a custom order which was a little more pricy but I like the way round pieces smoke more than split. It consisted of half rounds and half split. It was just as I wanted. I expected to get more or less of one or the other- that was not the case. What I ordered was what I got. i will certainly use them again. Thanks guys. read more

We ordered our fireplace post oak from them based on other fine Yelp reviews, and we are delighted. Full measure half-cord as ordered, stacked in our back yard wood rack just as requested. Feels even better to buy from local vet-owned business. Obvious vibe is doing business the right way, committed to making their customers happy. Order from them with confidence! read more

I go through a lot of firewood every year (about 2 cords). I tried 3 different vendors this year and Bastrop firewood was by far my favorite. Great customer service. Very friendly and courteous. The wood was great. Very dry and ready to burn. I highly recommend using them. I plan to use them going forward. read more

I had a little trouble getting a delivery scheduled but once done, the owner and the guys delivering the wood were great. They were overwhelmed after our first cold snap but I highly recommend them. read more

We recently placed an order for firewood from Daniel. We asked him to deliver wood to our country home which is not our full time residence. We requested that he stack the wood in two places while we were out of town. He did exactly as requested and even allowed us to send him a check upon returning from our trip! We highly recommend Bastrop Firewood for all your firewood needs. read more

Bastrop Firewood Rocks!! Daniel, the owner, is phenomenal and willing to work with even the weirdest requests outta Austin! Don't hesitate to contact him if you've got a wood need that isn't specifically called out on their "buy firewood" page. I facilitate and tend for firewalks in the Austin area, our favorite wood to use for temperature and coaling properties is seasoned red heart'ed cedar. We like it cut to a specific size and when we approached Daniel he was more than happy to work with us. He delivered exactly what we requested on more than one occasion and we've had beautiful burns and firewalks. Gratitude and good vibrations for the beautiful cedar to date and in the future!! read more

These folks are AWESOME! They have always been very responsive and have provided excellent customer service for me over the last several years. It's hard to find good, honest, hardworking, and ethical folks these days, but not here. If you want a nice chat and some great firewood give them a call. read more

Highly recommended! Friendly service, quick response and good firewood at good price. Local. Will be using them again.

Very prompt and professional service. I called and left a message and they called back immediately. They delivered the next morning, stacked the wood neatly, and even had some for my dad who happened to stop by my house during the delivery. I live centrally and will definitely use them again. read more
