Dr. Goie was patient and kind, taking the time to explain the procedure step by step. He asked to see me daily following the surgery to monitor my progress. Even though it was a holiday weekend and the office was closed, Dr. Goie and his wife came in specifically to remove my catheter and stitches. Exceptional service and truly caring healthcare professionals are rare these days. I am deeply grateful that I was referred to South Pasadena Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery during my time of need. The beautiful, turn-of-the-century office also helped create a very relaxing atmosphere. Thank you for everything, Dr. Goie and staff. Barbara P.

The South Pasadena Oral Surgery team treated me with great care, and the experience was positive from the moment I spoke with front desk staff. Dr. Vakilian is a considerate, patient, and skilled oral surgeon who inspired confidence and trust. I want to give some well-deserved attention here to surgical assistant, Walter, who walked me through my tooth extraction from beginning to end. Besides being professional, knowledgeable, and competent, he was friendly and relatable making an otherwise painful experience into a relatively easy process. Walter definitely exceeded expectations in every way.

I had a fibroma growth inside my mouth that developed after my Invisalign tray repeatedly rubbed…read moreagainst my cheek. It was essentially my mouth's way of protecting the area from the constant irritation, similar to how a callus forms. Unfortunately, because the growth protruded out, I would occasionally bite it while eating, which caused it to get larger. My dentist recommended having it removed before it became worse, and I'm so glad I was referred to Huntington Oral Surgery & Implant Center. Dr. Neimann was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and informative. He took the time to clearly explain the removal procedure, what to expect, and the healing process, while being completely transparent throughout. The entire staff was professional, understanding, and knowledgeable. The removal itself was quick and painless since they properly numbed the area, and my recovery was surprisingly fast. Aftercare was also very thoughtful--they sent me home with a bag of gauze (which I didn't end up needing), an ice pack (a fantastic idea since I didn't have to go get one), and chapstick. They also provided Dr. Niemann's personal mobile number in case any issues or questions arose after hours, which gave me a lot of peace of mind during recovery. I had a great experience from start to finish and would definitely recommend Huntington Oral Surgery & Implant Center for any oral surgery needs, whether it's wisdom teeth removal, implants, or, in my case, removing a fibroma. I give this business !

Dr. Niemann took the time to explain everything using a 3D X-ray, which made me feel informed and confident going into surgery. I had all four impacted wisdom teeth removed, and the entire experience was far better than I expected. The assistants were wonderful and helped keep me calm, and the positive atmosphere (including Sabrina Carpenter playing when I sat down!) made a huge difference. What impressed me most was that Dr. Niemann personally called me the evening after my procedure to check on my recovery and made himself available if I needed anything. That level of care is rare. I'm now on Day 3 with virtually no pain and hardly any swelling. I couldn't be happier with my experience and would highly recommend Dr. Niemann and his team.

I wanted to wait a full year from my wisdom teeth extraction before committing to a review of Dr…read more Christopher Chan. But after a full year with no complications whatsoever, I can very confidently say that Dr. Chan is an amazing oromaxillary surgeon. I was referred to Dr. Chan by my dentist for extraction of all 4 of my wisdom teeth. When I went to the office, the staff were very pleasant. Dr. Chan had amazing bedside manner. Many physicians and dentists can be very strict and intimidating when it comes to healthcare, and I was definitely nervous as I haven't been taking very good care of my teeth. But Dr. Chan was incredibly supportive. He was objective, told me what he needed to, and explained all the risks/benefits/alternatives in great detail. Any surgery has a potential risk of side effects and complications, and wisdom teeth extraction is no different. I had read about the most common complications of wisdom teeth extraction (e.g. dry socket, swelling, pain), and I was definitely a bit scared. But I knew, for the long term well being of my teeth, this was a necessary procedure. On the day of the procedure itself, my mom was my designated driver, as I would be under moderate sedation with Versed. The nurse who started my IV was very nice, she also put a blanket on me as I felt a bit cold in the office. Dr. Chan was very nice also. Once I got the IV push of Versed I was completely out, and then I woke up with gauze in my mouth and an ice pack wrapped around my jaw. I had no swelling, no dry socket, and minimal pain that was easily controlled with Tylenol. Some of my colleagues said it didn't even look like I had any surgery done. As someone who is on the older side to get this procedure, to recover in such a straightforward manner is just proof of Dr. Chan's technique. I would highly recommend Dr. Chan to anyone needing wisdom tooth extraction. He has great bedside manner and I had no complications from having all 4 wisdom teeth removed.

With that said, I'm so glad that my neighbor, another Dentist recommended Dr. Christopher Chan. While having a tooth pulled is not something I had looked forward to, Dr. Chan and his friendly staff really set my mind at ease during the consultation. The next day, the extraction was scheduled and went as planned. This evening, I found out that other neighbors of mine had seen him as well. What can I say, not all Dentists and oral surgeons are the same. If you're looking for quality dental/oral surgery, you can be confident that Dr. Chan is the right choice and has your best interests in mind.

Posting my review of PCOMS, which is Dr. Odono's office, here as well…read more My 7 year old had an impacted supernumerary tooth (i.e., an extra tooth that hasn't erupted) that needed to be extracted. I called a few oral surgeons in an attempt to find one who works with children. I chose PCOMS because the Patient Care Coordinator, Lupe, was nothing short of amazing prior to the consultation. She figured out insurance coverage for us, helped obtain the needed records from my daughter's pediatric dentist, and pretty much held my hand the entire way through the process. Gratefully, this was my daughter's first surgery, but as such, it also came with strong feelings of trepidation on my part. All of that was erased the moment I met Dr. Odono. She gives off a strong "I got this" vibe that I greatly appreciated. She explained everything to my daughter and me in very easily understandable terms, and helped us both feel at ease with both the plan for sedation and the procedure. When I had follow up questions after the consult, Lupe was there to answer them as well. The surgery went incredibly well. All of the folks with whom we interacted that morning were kind, professional, and super sweet to my daughter. My daughter only needed Advil one time when she got home, and then was able to tolerate whatever discomfort she felt thereafter. (I offered more pain medication later in the day and she said she didn't need it.) The dissolving stitches fell out or dissolved nicely within a week, and the surgical site has healed completely such that 2.5 weeks later, you'd never guess she had surgery by the looks of it. Finally, I appreciated that the office didn't seem overbooked at either appointment. We were the only ones there when we arrived for the early morning surgery. There was only one patient who arrived as we were leaving that day, as well.
