We waited a long time to make this purchase from the right dealer, theres a couple closer, good folks, but these had the patients to answer 1000 questions, phone calls, emails ect. We believe Don, the owner is a good, honest guy but make no mistake Cheryl is it ,she gets it done right, returns calls, emails ect no bs, explained every detail. We own a business as well, wish we have more folks like these guys, gonna buy a zero turn mower next year, it will be purchased at Bassani. LIARS Me and my husband purchased a new tractor last year. The day it was delivered the hydraulic line broke and they did pick it up and we were told the line was not attached properly! Well don't ya think ya check for things like that before ya deliver it ! The day we purchased it We were told the backhoe was about 2-4 weeks on back order.Long story short, 11 months later it came in. I finally realized about 6 months into waiting that they knew it would be much longer. The big clue was when we were told people have been waiting months longer than us . So they knew it was no where in sight !! Then when the backhoe came in they picked up the tractor to install it. When they dropped it off we noticed right away there were MANY bolts missing from all around the tractor ! They did send the bolts, which took way longer than they told us. Point being, I would not think I would ever have to call over missing bolts that holds important parts together! Then the absolute kick in the teeth was after being told the first 50 hour service was FREE , they called and asked how we would like to pay the $1200.00 fee ! And we were told several times it was a free service ! So when making the appointment, don't ya think someone would point out a $1200.00 dollar charge. Don't you think 1200 bucks would have been spoken about on the day of the purchase ?? Well the word free sure was !! They schedule things and they don't have the flatbed drivers so you wait ! The tractor it's self is great. But the dealership is thumbs down ! read more

Had a good experience with them this winter but sadly when I dropped off my power washer to be tuned up two weeks ago m, I was not told at any point that it would involve a wait if multiple weeks. Upon calling to enquire after a few days, the lady noted that there was a wait time. I explained that this wasn't explained to me but I'd wait a few more days. The lady said it would be done early next week. The following week I wait until Wednesday to call and another lady explained that the power washer wasn't even looked at yet and also the re was a 3-4 week turn around!? As it was already two weeks of waiting, I decided to pick it up and it was still in the same spot I left it but with a ton of rust due to it being left outside in the heavy rain the last week. If an ETA was announced at drop off then I would not of bothered. Not returning. read more

I had the very same experience described by Steve A. I dropped a lawn mower for service and nobody bothered to call for a whole week. Only after I decided to swing by in person, I learned that there was a 3-4 weeks lead time before the mower was even going to be looked at. And they tell you with a straight face, as if this was perfectly normal! In other words, they seem to believe it is perfectly ok to not call you within a couple of days, and perfectly reasonable that - for an entire month - you are not given to know when your unit is going to be serviced, what is wrong with your unit, how much is it going to cost you and how long it will take for them to finally service it... imagine a car dealer with the same approach? "Sorry pal, regarding your oil change, come back in a month and we'll let you know what the situation looks like". How do they even stay in business?? read more

Brought lawn tractor to Bassanni for a fuel leak, sharpen blades, new battery, new spark plug, and adjust deck height. When I went to pick it up, I overheard a counter person on the phone with a customer explaining that his machine wasn't ready yet because they didn't know that it was in the shop. In any case, I paid my bill and went around back to get the machine. I found an employee in the yard and went to identify myself and to ask for some help loading the machine. However, he was already helping another customer who was complaining that nobody ever called him to say the machine was ready. AS they were about to load this FRESHLY SERVICED MACHINE, it wouldn't start. At that point I figured I would be better off just getting my machine myself and get out of there. As I secure it to the trailer, I smelled gas. Turns out the carburetor was still leaking. I went to the shop and got a guy to look at it. He changed a gasket and said that should do it. I got it home and found that the battery tie down was not put on correctly. I fixed that, cleaned all the gas off of it, and left it for the night. Next morning, smelled gas. It was still leaking. Called the shop and told them to come get it and try it again. They said that the solenoid under the bowl of the carburetor had rotted out and they replaced it. They brought it back to the house and, after their second try at fixing the leak, there was no choke. The engine would crank and crank then finally catch in a puff of white smoke. After cutting the lawn, actually after scalping the lawn because the adjustment they did set the blades about 3/4" lower than what was marked on the indicator, I parked it and went about other chores. When I went to put it away...the brand new battery was dead. I charged the battery for a couple hours, it started with its new feature of a white cloud, and I put it away. But wait...there's more The following weekend, I went to start it and it and the battery was dead again. After another couple hours on charge and 13 volts in the battery, it had a strong crank response to the ignition, but only for a fraction of a second, not even one revolution of the motor. I did get it to start twice, but after 5 seconds or so, it would die as if the ignition was turned off. After the 3rd try, and me paying $100 to get my lawn cut twice because of Bassanni's incompetence, the leak has stopped and it is running ok. Of course, the deck was never re-adjusted to match the indicator, but I will deal with that myself. They blamed it all on ethanol and bad gas. However, based upon his attitude, I think it was "Justin the Counter Boy" with the bad gas. In short, of the 5 things that I wanted done to the machine, Bassanni managed to get 2 things right the first time. If you are good with those odds...then these are the guys for you. read more

Invested in a brand new snow blower from these guys. My father is local and had it delivered to his house, then brought it to my home. As a new homeowner, I wasn't familiar with every single little moving part on the item, so when I got it home and got it running, I realized that the chute was not functioning correctly - they had hooked it up wrong. When we let them know that the chute needed to be fixed on our brand new blower, they insisted that we bring it back in, have them repair it, and pick it back up ourselves. If we wanted them to drop it off for us, we would incur a delivery charge. Long story short, there are a lot of local places you can go for this type of equipment with far better customer service. These guys are intractable and unapologetic in their mistakes. Look elsewhere. read more

Arrogant. Lisa said she was doing me a favor by looking at my plow truck. She must have thought I wasn't a paying customer. They had the truck for nine days. They said they were working on it every day and couldn't find the problem. When I asked whats taking so long She said just pay me the 80 dollars and come get your truck. So glad that they have so much business to treat people like crap. BTW I took it to Congelosie Trailer in Montgomery NY they had it done in no time. Just a reversed wire. read more
