It's a great place to come and get inspired and do a light plant haul, but I'll probably save the really big purchases for more affordable garden center. With that being said, you do get what you pay for - and The Farm adds warranties to many of the pricier bushes and trees. I will look online for a saw blade, drill bit, etc... and decide to pay the extra few cents and save on time and gas. Guess what?... they are always in the ballpark or better prices. Also a great place to exchange propane tanks. Fast and easy! No standing in a line and groveling for an employee to help you. Lastly, every time I need help with finding something, I never have to ask, I am always approached first, and usually by the owner. The bonus is, they often give instructions to make the job simpler. Aside from my personal opinion of supporting small businesses, I can assure you, those big box stores will not and cannot give you the service and expertise you will receive at this hardware store.
