I ordered a milkshake, and when I received it, it was basically chocolate milk...very thin and lacking the thick, creamy consistency you'd expect from a milkshake. To make matters worse, I had to have it remade because the wrong ice cream was used the first time. I also noticed that the employee preparing my milkshake wasn't wearing gloves either time it was made, which was concerning from a food-handling standpoint. The service overall wasn't very friendly or attentive, and it just wasn't the level of service I've come to expect from this location. The one positive thing I can say is that the restaurant itself was very clean and well-maintained. I've come here multiple times and have never had an experience this bad before. I'm hoping this was just an off day because I've enjoyed my previous visits, but this visit was definitely disappointing.

I tried the one with the maraschino cherries in it (couldn't tell you what they call it), while my fiancée got their birthday-cake-flavored ice cream. I liked mine, but I probably wouldn't ask for it again; she enjoyed hers, but wasn't a fan of the cake-chunks in the ice cream. Some things are better left simple -- but to each their own. The ambiance for their outdoor seating in their evening is nice. Very tranquil, despite the seating area being positioned near the roadside. I would like to mention, however, that there *is* a fire station literally right next door, but it's hardly a bother and doesn't negatively impact the setting. My only qualm about this place is that the server who helped us manhandled our waffle cones with his bare hands, which appears to be a normal occurrence here. It might just be a me-thing, but any sort of food handling that involves touching items I will eat with your bare hands is just gross. I would definitely come back here, but I'll probably just get a cup of ice cream instead of a waffle cone.
