    Groovy cones

It's 19 degrees on Feb 10th, and I don't care I feel the need for a little sweet treat! Baskin Robbins is not far from me and since I'm running errands anyway, why not. So, it's a blast from the past, haven't been in one in years, hasn't changed a whole lot, but they do have some groovy new cones ( see pics) and of course some new flavors! And I still felt 7 years old not being able to make up my mind. But it was great ice cream! Creamy, just the right amount of not to hard not to soft texture, and it tasted just like the flavors advertised! No fake flavor, no funny tasting chemical-ness, just good old fashioned ice cream! Will I go back? Absolutely ! But take note 2 scoops with tax is now over 5$

We were looking for ice cream - NOT frozen yogurt. Turns out this is one of the last places in the area to get Ice Cream. When we arrived we were the only ones there. The staff was very friendly and put up with me and my family asking for sample after sample. Soon we were joined by many other folks and the place was hoping. Service to everyone was quick and friendly. We decided on what we wanted and sat down to enjoy it. More folks showed up, must have been regulars for the guy behind the counter didn't even have to ask what they wanted! Having a good, clean, friendly Baskin Robbins near me would not be good for my diet! This will be the go-to place when we want Ice Cream.

Pralines & Cream and Chocolate Chip

It's no surprise that I like ice cream but let me tell you, I love Baskin-Robbins ice cream. It doesn't matter what local company starts making their own creamy dreamy concoction they still don't beat Baskin-Robbins. It's the best. It's a classic. This is the very Baskin-Robbins I grew up going to. There are lots of desserts but none are ever as good as ice cream. Their best flavor is Pralines and Cream. Sometimes I like to mix it up a little bit so on this day (a very warm early spring afternoon) I got Chocolate Chip also. The Chocolate Chip was good but know what? The Pralines and Cream was better. This is the best ice cream at the best Baskin-Robbins in St. Louis. You should pay them a visit.

BR closing early for no reason at all...

As we pulled in, we could see it was pretty busy for a Saturday, and the kids could barely wait to get something cold and sweet. My wife and I ordered malts -- I had peanut butter, and she had chocolate. The kids went with micro cones: Jade chose strawberry, and her friend got vanilla. Everything was delicious, and everyone enjoyed exactly what they ordered. Whenever we're craving something cold, fresh, and satisfying, Ted Drewes is always the best choice for our family. Great treats, great atmosphere, and always worth the stop.

The classic vanilla cone has never failed me, but the concretes are always nice too. I love how creative this small walk up gets with the weekly flavors and classic mixes. The sizing is great for the price, but if you cannot find a bench to enjoy a large, please make it back to your car and step on the gas before it melts! I am so glad they finally installed an accessible cross walk with a traffic light. There is accessible parking on both sides of the stand but be warned that the lines do get long on busy nights. Also a pup cup costs money here but you get a nice dish (tubbaware) keepsake.

Honestly that's what sold us! Arrived and promptly ordered that dessert and the carrot cake. Then the server told us of their "to die for" tiramisu and my partner immediately said yes. WOW let me tell you from a first hand experience two people do NOT need three desserts. Cyrano's gives you AMAZING portions. Just one would have been enough lol. Anyways, the carrot cake was my favorite. It was so big I had enough to take home! The tiramisu was good but it was being overpowered by the carrot cake that evening. As for the brain chemistry altering bread pudding.... That google review was 100% correct. It was delicious. 10/10. No notes. Please order it if you go to Cyrano's. The ambiance was a little dated but still looked nice. The staff was kind and quickly resolved the missing ice cream situation.

They made a fresh pot of coffee and even went the extra mile to go get ice as we came in later in the evening and they had run out. I did tell them they didn't need to, but he insisted which I thought was outstanding. This quaint little café is so charming inside. It allows people to gather eat a sweet treat and have general conversation conversations where you can actually hear one another. They do have outside seating too. The chocolate cake was soft and as a non-cake lover I found this very delicious. Definitely worthy of sharing. I ordered a quiche to go. I had mentioned they didn't have the spinach feta pastry that I had before. The gentleman stated we have some in the back, I'm happy to get you one. So I ordered that too. And although this was only our second time coming, the fact that they'll make a fresh pot of coffee in my opinion is key to a great café. I will keep this in my rotation of places to go.

As I was walking to the door, I see a man cleaning the tables. He walks toward the door as I'm walking up to it. We're literally standing face to face with the door in between us. I smile, he is stone faced. I go to open the door as he walks away. The door is locked. I try a few more times, thinking maybe it's me. I look around at the hours again, but next to it is a "we're open" sign. I try maybe 3-4 times more before I give up. I walk to the window and he's sitting at a table toward the back, looking at me. We just look at each other, then he looks at his computer. I turn toward my car, then turn back around and he's still looking at me! I sat in my car, confused. He never looked back up from his computer, so I left. Highly disappointed.

For studying, the space is really great. Good amount of tables, enough room to spread out, and there are charging ports which is a non negotiable for a long study session. The workers are friendly too. Oh and there's an ice cream shop attached to it. The food was delicious as well, we each got a variety of hot and baked goods. My quiche was yummy and the chocolate chip cookie was delish as well. My kids liked the plain avocado toast and breakfast burrito. You go to a counter and order and they package it to go. The line was long and it was a little confusing with different counters giving you different things (coffee drinks, non coffee drinks and food). You seat yourself, we initially were asked to move from sitting in an outside space that apparently was connected to another restaurant. So we had to find and put together another table for 7. This wasn't the most conducive for eating with little kids nor groups. I probably wouldn't return with little ones or a big group, but it would be great for a solo brunch or small group of adults!
