They are skimping on serving sizes. Prices stay the same, but the size scoops are getting smaller.

I saw Smusht often on DoorDash but stopped in for the first time yesterday for dessert. I know they are well known for the ice cream sandwiches, but I just hate having to hold onto that sandwich and struggling to not get my hands all dirty, so I opted for a small size which comes with two scoops. The staff at the counter were so nice allowing the kids in my party try different flavors and giving suggestions. I love a fun and unique ice cream flavor, so I went with Honey Lavender and Lemon Poppy Seed. Both were so incredible! The lavender was not too floral-y and the honey flavor came through very clearly. The lemon was bright but creamy, not sour. The poppy seed added a nice crunchy texture. The ice cream was so smooth and airy, I was surprised I was able to finish both scoops! I'm really pleased to have found a great artisanal ice cream shop on Long Island. I will definitely be by again!

I cannot recommend this place enough. Service was amazing. They really worked the line on national ice cream day. Cute indoor an outdoor seating.

It barely had much cookie dough in it, actually. I had to dig around for the pieces. We all agreed that our cups were not worth it in terms of flavor or quality.

First off the staff was friendly, engaging and helpful. Casey and Amanda helped me and were smiling and spoke to me like I had been coming there for years. That alone stole me away from Douglas and James. There was a small line socially distanced and the store was COVID-19 ready. You can't go inside although they are set up at the door to take your order and process it. What was great here was that you could get an ice cream cone and it doesn't have to be served to you upside down and smashed like Douglas and James does. I see no sanitary benefit of forcing customers there to eat their cones with a spoon, just weird. Ralph's ice cream and ices has at least 16 locations in Long Island and the New York City area. Nice selection of hard and soft ice cream, ices, gelato, shakes and sundaes. Prices are reasonable compared to other places. I don't find them to be higher as some other reviews state. I had the Doughnado Triple Chocolate Brownie Sundae. This was the perfect combination of chocolate cookie dough, soft vanilla and chocolate ice cream, and crushed chocolate. Whatever it was tasted AWESOME! The place is not fancy although it is functional and does what it needs to do. I would definitely come back again and recommend them especially over Douglas and James where you will receive average service, average tasting products and mediocre service.

We were presenting a short film (Feeling Through) and there were nearly 170 people in attendance. Port Belly Chefs were amazing and so generous with their time and food preparation. They served the most delicious potato pancakes with creme fraiche and smoked salmon, created a gorgeous and abundant cheese and meat platter, a beautifully arranged vegetable platter with homemade dips and pita, and a truly decadent chocolate and peanut butter bar for dessert. Everything was so good...I'm getting hungry just thinking about it now! I have been fortunate enough to taste dozens of their creations through the years. Everything is always amazing. The simplest items are taken to the next level. You might even say their food "goes to eleven!" Talent and taste! In a nutshell, I would say it everything went above and beyond my expectations, but I know Jessica and Kerry and know to expect the VERY BEST from them. Not just professional, but talented and creative, too. I can't recommend them highly enough. They are the REAL DEAL!

I loved it and am thankful it recently opened. I made a reservation for a Saturday morning. It wasn't too loud either, so our toddler slept in his stroller the entire time. I got the tuna sandwich and I was raving about it the day after. It's a great portion and comes with avocado, a light salad, and two eggs. I also got a hot matcha latte and a muffin. It was all fantastic. I also shared a savory crepe with my husband with Munster cheese and spinach, and that was a great portion as well. Others in my party got the shakshuka, the power bowl, various salads, etc. The service was not great that day, though, so it's the only reason I can't give five stars. Once we were seated, absolutely no one paid any attention to us and we asked to place our order 3-4 different times. Waiters seemed confused and overwhelmed. Once we wanted to order pastries and pay our bill, we had no idea if we needed to do that at the counter or what? It was a bumpy ride. If it weren't for that, it would have been an excellent experience.

I thought the salmon was going be cooked. Perhaps my bad? Regardless, I really enjoyed the flavor and spice, even though it was super salty. The portions are really big. The salmon of the with the spicy mayo would be a good mix atop of a bagel. The avocado was a nice touch.
