I called the Baskin Robbins on Montgomery and Juan Tabo several times today to find out if they had any promotions or discounts going on for National Ice Cream Day. Each time I called I could tell someone would pick up the phone then hang up! This is not the first time they've done this. Terrible business practices! My family and relatives have been loyal customers for decades. Over the years we have noticed the place is going down hill as a whole, I.e., it is dirty and it appears it does not get cleaned very often. The tables, chairs, floors, windows, etc., are not clean and the customer service is below average. The ice cream is classic Baskin-Robbins, just what you'd expect, and served at the proper temperature for creamy enjoyment. The service - well, it's often a little rough around the edges and maybe not the most welcoming, but we've never seen it be overtly hostile and I think we generally get at the very least a smile and sometimes even friendliness. The inside of the restaurant is consistently clean lately (this was not always the case, but it seems to be now), but it's not a space that makes you want to hang out. Unfortunately, whoever manages the shopping center does a pretty awful job of cleaning up outside. There are two nice little benches perfect for sitting in the sun and enjoying a cone, but there's always trash around, the sidewalk needs a scrub down because of sticky spills and the garbage can nearby is almost always overflowing. My wife commented that if she were the manager of the BR, she'd send someone out to clean up the immediate area just because that's where their customers are going to want to eat ice cream. Well, that doesn't appear to ever happen so - it's kinda gross. Weird, too: this used to be a decent area of town. Anyhow, perhaps the store manager can show this review to the property manager to get some action, because the store could be so much nicer if customers didn't have to wade through garbage to get in the door. read more

Worst experience. Three employees all hanging out in the back. I placed my order and as he started working on it started telling the others they needed to do certain tasks and the guy obviously forgot about my shake in the blender because I saw him wandering around looking lost and I made eye contact with him and he remembered. Today I went in to purchase my bf a cake. When paying I asked if she can write Happy Birthday on the cake and right away the girl who rung me up said "No! I can barely even write my name" comment was much unnecessary and concerns me as to how she's even employed there if she can't even write her own name. When I asked if anyone else can simply do that for me she said "No we don't do that." Over 15 years ago I worked at Baskin Robbins my first job ever and we were trained to write on the cakes. Not sure if CA is different that NM or if Baskin Robbins has since changed their policy as to why they don't write on the cakes. I went to have ice cream with my daughter. The cases were empty and they didn't have basic flavors like vanilla. The counters were dirty and the girl serving us had a snotty attitude. The hot fudge machine/warmer was broken and fell apart while she was pumping the hot fudge onto my daughters sundae. Baskin Robbins ice cream is ok... people go to have the experience of choosing between the 31 flavors. You expect to leave an ice cream store happy... not pissed. read more

I haven't been to Baskin-Robbins in far too long and I was pleasantly surprised when my husband suggested it. Walking up to this location you were met with a sign on the door that there are only 5 customers allowed at one time. The 2 customers there previous to us and the 2 employees working were all wearing masks and we felt safe to enter. Due to Covid-19 indoor dining is not allowed but we had already planned to take our delicacy to go. I forgot how amazing and overwhelming the selection of ice cream they provide. 31 flavors? It seemed like more. No complaints here. I opted for the flavor of the month, Love Potion #31. It was delicious. Vanilla ice cream filled with raspberry ribbons and raspberry filled chocolate pieces! Drool, so delicious! I wish I could eat ice cream every day. Perhaps a different flavor every day for 31 days? Gluttony at its finest. read more

Late night snack! This is my all time favorite ice cream place. Brings up wonderful memories of when I was little. Staff is always friendly and product is nothing short of amazing! They have all the traditional flavor plus new ones. I decided to go with something new this time. The ice cream flavor I decided to try was called milk and cereal. It was a cookies and cream based ice cream with cereal bits in it for added crunch. It's was delicious! Love this place! read more

Yeah, it's a chain ice cream store. The reason this one's worth noting is the friendly staff. The folks behind the counter here are super nice and very patient, especially with kids. This is important because most kids consider choosing an ice cream flavor to be a decision on par with where to go to college or whether to marry someone. You can't rush this decision. The shop, though small, is clean and bright in an otherwise dated shopping center. Lots of parking. read more
