Over the past three weeks, visiting this store has been an enjoyable experience. I've finally found a place where I've uncovered a hobby and had a great time playing a game that excites me. However, things took a troubling turn recently. Last week, I was unjustly accused of cheating at the Pokémon TCG tournaments. Mind you, there were also free tournaments because no product was awarded to the winning competitors. When I asked what specific actions led to this accusation, I was informed that other players went to the manager claiming that if I weren't banned, they would no longer return to the shop.
I was then told I was caught on camera allegedly grabbing cards from my discard pile and exhibiting sleight of hand. When I offered to have my deck checked for fairness, they outright refused. This whole experience is incredibly disheartening. It's frustrating to see accusations based solely on what others say, rather than any real evidence.
I do have cards in my deck that allow me to draw from both my discard pile and my deck, which is a legitimate strategy. In all honesty, I feel like I've been wronged in this situation. The environment in the shop is overly selective about who is welcomed, especially toward newcomers compared to long-time players.
That said, I acknowledge the positive aspects--the service is good, the selection of games is impressive, and prices are reasonable. However, be cautious if you immerse yourself in a hobby here; you might find yourself unfairly targeted and banned as well. read more
