    Pad See Eu

I came here for dinner and was seated quickly and decided to go with the pad see eu noodles after inquiring about their popular dishes. I was honestly surprised to get my food 5min after ordering and got a large quantity that I didn't end up finishing. There was an ample amount of chicken and veggies, but I wish it was spiced a bit more. I asked for some more spices and got a garlic chili house and some spice powder which definitely raised the spice level up to what I wanted. It's a nice restaurant inside with friendly staff and nice decor.

Good seating for groups but food is way underspiced. (Good if you don't like spices then I guess!) I came in here with a group on a Saturday. They were relatively empty but probably because of the Fall festival. The menu itself is not helpful in understanding sizes of the dishes. For example, most Thai places I've ever been to offer soups in either a cup size or the choice of a cup or bowl. This place only has a large bowl size for soups which you better plan to share! Unfortunately most of the food was a miss, especially compared to other Thai places i have been to. Hot and Sour Seafood Soup - this soup was served in a Flaming carafe type of bowl. I got this to share with another person. The waiter served the initial cups for us but I was really worried about him because he kept reaching over the flame! The soup itself was salty and almost sweet. Not like the spicy and sour flavor I usually get elsewhere for this soup. It did come with a lot of seafood pieces though. I managed to have a cup without any shrimp and gave them all to my friend. Pad Thai with chicken - this was surpringly plain since 1) it was listed as a "house speciality" and 2) I ordered on the spicy side of their spiciness scale. It was like there was no spice at all so I don't know if my order was written wrong or the kitchen did not give it spiciness. This menu item also lists to ask for it gluten-free but the waiter said it doesn't have gluten anyway. Other folks ordered the wings (crispy but no seasoning), pad see-eu (lot of noodles, little chicken), and red curry (also under-spiced).

The food was really good, each one was more than enough, the pad thai was a solid 10 and the curry was also very good, the service was pretty good, food was ready fast and the ambience was good as well, overall a good experience, I would come back again

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING! I was worried I would not find good vegan food here but oh man! I'm in love with this place. We got a tofu masaman curry and pad-keep-mow noodles and both were just uhhhh amazing. Quantity is great, I couldn't finish it myself and had to pack half of it. Service is great. Love that they don't use dairy so there are many vegan options. I would definitely recommend to all. Loveeeeee it

Came in while in town for work, with a large party of 10. They accommodated a same day reservation and had the table set-up when we arrived. Our waitress was phenomenal throughout the meal. Suggesting dishes and keeping drinks full. Some of the table shared the wonton soup, it was enough for 4-5 people though everyone only got like 1 wonton each with plenty of broth left over. I had the green curry chicken- the portion was huge and very tasty and they were happy to sub in brown rice. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals as well. We will definitely be back when back in town.

The food was good. Being from Vegas where we have lots of Thai places, this place fills the void for good Thai food. The service was good as well. Will for sure be coming back.

We had a wonderful dinner here. Caleb was our server and he went above and beyond for us. He knew the menu very well and he was so welcoming and friendly. He was super attentive. We got the tom yum kung and there was so much shrimp in it. It was zesty and spicy at the same time. I got the pad kee mao with chicken. Flavor was good and there was a good amount of chicken in it. My husband got the stir fry noodles with beef and he liked it a lot. We also got the shrimp wrappers and those are a must! This is a nice upscale thai restaurant that is a great addition to downtown.

Having just come from a bad experience next door, we were primed for disappointment when we walked into Basil Thai. The excellent staff and equally wonderful food absolutely turned our evening around! The hostess was friendly and courteous, and seated us outdoors at our request. It was such a gorgeous night, I don't know why anyone would want to sit indoors! Our waiter, John, was patient and helpful- he asked if we had eaten here before, and when we told him we hadn't, he offered to answer any questions we might have. (I didn't tell him that we cook Thai all the time and actually have Thai Basil and a Keffir Lime tree growing in our kitchen!) Our appetizer- Rice Paper Rolls (2 for $7) and drinks (Thai iced tea for my Bride and jasmine tea for me) arrived very quickly, followed by our entrees at a decent interval. He told me that my Thai noodles stir fry come at a medium spiciness and asked if I wanted the chef to kick it up a notch. I'm glad I said yes- what I got was perfect! Enough heat to make me sniffle a little, not enough to mask the delicate flavours of the ingredients. I got pork as my protein, but they offer other meats, shrimp, and tofu as well. My Bride- 25 years this weekend!- got the Basil dinner. Lavishly appointed with Thai basil, her tasty dish of chicken and vegetables came with jasmine rice (brown rice is $2 more). The portions were reasonable, leaving us full, but not feeling stuffed. Afternoon snacking precluded dessert; I had been looking forward to sticky rice with mango, but I'm trying to be good... Supper for two with an appetizer and two drinks came to $62.64 including tax but before tip. A small enough price for salvaging our evening out. TL;DR -wonderful staff, excellent food, good portions and price. If I'm ever in Greenville again, Thai Basil is on my shortlist.

I got pad see ew to go for lunch. It was ready pretty quickly, about 15 minutes which is how long is took me to walk there. I'm not a fan of the normal broccoli in this dish since I'm accustomed to the traditional chinese broccoli in pad see ew. The taste was pretty good but the dish was so oily in my opinion - not the best I've had but good to try if you've never had this style of stir fried noodles or Thai food. The staff was friendly on the phone as well as when I picked up my order!

Good thai food at an affordable price located in downtown Greenville. They don't take reservations but we didn't have to wait for a table once we arrived. The restaurant was pretty crowded but service was still prompt and the server, Ed, was very friendly. There was great flavor on my basil mixed seafood dinner and the calamari wasn't chewy, as it often is, at some other spots.

Nice greeting upon arrival. I was seated immediately. My waitress Annel, was awesome. I asked for…read moresome recommendations, and she was spot on. She said the soup, Gai was what she liked. So I got that. And the curry was the Panag. Nice, a bit thick so it would stick to the rice. It took me longer to look at the menu than it took to get my food. They were quick. The place was full and very busy. Even so, the service was quick. Everyone was checking on the customers. Very attentive. The place was nicely lit. They had a TV. Nice place. The food was awesome. The taste was better than expected. I got medium heat and that was plenty. I also got some chili paste j.i.c. I did use a little. You have a great place here. I will definitely be back, next time I'm in town. Highly recommend this place. You won't be sorry.

I had seen a lot of good reviews for Sweet Basil Thai so finally got to check it out. Parking is…read moredifficult here as there are many restaurants in a small area. We stepped into the restaurant the first thing we noticed is it's dimly lit. We waited a few moments before a server came over , she then took us to a booth. The seating wasn't that comfortable. We were given water very quickly. Then a server came to take our order. We had not had time to look at the menu so asked her to come back. Then another server came and asked if we wanted different drinks instead of water. We declined. The first server came back again so we ordered our Appetizers. We both decided on soup. My husband had Lemongrass and chicken and I had the coconut chicken with mushrooms. Yet another server came to take our Entree order. The soup arrived and it was very hot and tasty. The only down side was the chicken in the soup was overcooked and chewy. We were then given Spring rolls and dip. They were hot and crunchy. Our Entrees arrived before we finished the rolls. We both ordered our meals as a medium spice which is pretty spicy so be careful when ordering. Overall the food was good. Service was a little confusing as they all seemed to serve you! I did use the bathroom which again is dimly lit but you could see it was dirty and the floors need a good clean as they are black in some areas and very sticky. Noise level was ok even though the restaurant was busy and music was be played.
