Worst customer experience I've ever had in my entire life. Not only from a dealership but from any business EVER!

I went in to check out a vehicle I've been eyeing on their website, the greeter at the front desk was really nice and the sales agent was okay but this review is for the financing person. I felt disrespected when I went into his office when not even 2 minutes sitting down he starts having a full conversation with another person standing outside his office talking about some bet they made. This lasted for almost 2 minutes as I sat there awkwardly. Gave me absolutely no information on my financing and seemed to rush through everything. I wasn't even out the door before he was over to the person he was taking to giving him money in the bet they made. I already have low expectations going into a dealership, so much for customer service. I don't think I left a dealership faster than this one..yikes. read more

Avoid at all cost DAy 87 The vehicle of friend purchased from this dealer lost all electronic components locks up and down lights flash vehicles shuts off while driving steering locks had it towed to a dealership it is been there for 15 days they cannot duplicate the problem therefore are trying to release the vehicle to the buyer headed to get GM corporate involved they have stated the basil will not deal with the buyer whatsoever so what would you do in this matter they gladly took us money sold him an unsafe vehicle that is not roadworthy GM corporate stated not to remove the vehicle from the lot Basil has never offered a loaner and the buyer is willing to give back this on where the vehicle to buy a brand new product they said they will not deal with the buyer Obviously if they stood behind their product they would let their wife or children drive it during the Christmas season see if somebody loses their life Until this issue is dulpicated read more

Basil Ford is at it yet again with a terrible experience. I called Basil Ford on Saturday after my check engine light on to come in, the woman over the phone was very nice and helpful and told me to bring it in to be checked out. When I arrived there, the service advisor Alex was extremely rude about not having an appointment even though I was told to come in without one. After basil reluctantly kept my vehicle to be checked out, they called me back and told me it was a problem that only a Toyota dealer could fix as it had to be reprogrammed after the work was completed, no big deal. I'll take it to Basil Toyota. Well, I pick up my truck and come to find out they cleared all the error codes on the vehicle so now no one can do any warranty work and if I want it fixed through Basil Toyota I have to pay for the whole job out of pocket rather than be covered by warranty because their family dealership won't accept the paperwork with the error on it. So now I'm out $75 because they diagnosed it and cleared the codes and the truck still isn't driving correctly. All these people want is a quick buck, and I'll be sure to tell everyone that I know to not purchase a vehicle through any Basil dealerships. It's been nothing but a headache. read more

I purchased a used 2013 Mustang from Basil Ford at the beginning of April. The deal went fine, and love the car. After the deal is done, is where the happiness ends. I was verbal PROMISED by my sales associate, that he would personally either get the original window sticker or order me a new one. We'll guess what, after 2-3 emails and 3 phone calls I was assured I would receive it. NOPE!!! I had to order it myself. Thanks Rocky for that!! Next the Business manager Don, failed to even write a short email explaining a problem I was having with the plates the dealer put on the car. Again I emailed and called multiple times, with no response. Is this totally surpising? Should I have expected better treatment after the sale? As a consumer the answer is a resounding YES!!!! read more

I bought my last car from here and when a few years had gone by naturally it needed a little work done. Took it back to Basil and they fixed everything perfectly. Just about 2 weeks ago unfortunately my car got t-boned and I had it taken back there. It ended up being totaled and I went there to look at cars again. The salesman (Nick) found me a great car at a great price and got it ready for me to pick up and drive it home. Would definitely go here again. read more

I just had a terrible experience with service at Basil Ford. After taking my car in for service and to look into a couple of minor issues, I authorized repairs over the phone to remedy some of the issues I brought up. When I got my car back, none of my issues seemed to be improved, and in addition two of my tires were damaged and flat after a couple of days, having no prior issues with my tires. When I brought my car back in to have them figure out what happened with my tires, they wouldn't accept any responsibility and only offered to repair and replace the damaged tires at what I assume was cost. I found their overall ability to address my issues properly and their willingness to work with a customer who expressed my concerns was very disappointing. I had taken my car there before and walked away feeling like I had dealt with the stereotypical car repair garage that is just trying to tack on any upcharge and service they can, this time around just confirmed it. I would recommend searching elsewhere for your service needs or next time you get paid at work, just light the check on fire, that would be equivalent to the experience at Basil Ford. read more

Communication was easy and straight forward, they were very responsive and helpful from start to finish. I worked with Chuck and Kyle and it was the smoothest car buying experience I have ever had. Be very wary of this dealership and all reviews. I was told a dent was fixed from my car and when I went to pick it up the dent was not fixed. The sales manager also tried to bribe me with two hundred dollars. His words to me were show me a good review and I will cut you a check for 200 dollars. Doesn't seem like a very trustworthy business to me and isn't that what you look for when purchasing a car. read more

My transaction was just plain ragedy. The sale man was good but the business practices of basil are lazy. They are supposed to complete the 101 point inspection I don't believe that was done. I asked 7 times for the results, another sales man distracted me and I left without it. They also talk about same day delivery. My car was not ready when promised because they didn't want to spend $150 to prepare it if I wasn't sure even though I called right back and said I was sure. When they decided it would be ready I expressed my tight time constraints on that day and I still had to wait almost an hour. I asked about my first oil change and was told there would be a sticker in the window. I asked if the car would be reset so it can tell me, I was told no because that is not as accurate as the sticker. Ok I get the car home no sticker. I checked this morning none of the fluids were topped off and there was no oil change. I spent almost $30k for a car and you can't add windshield wiper fluid? I just spoke with the sales manager and he said that complete opposite of what I was told and what is listed on the website about oil changes and inspections. The more I deal with these people the more I disrespect them and their business. If you go there keep in mind it's like going to Walmart no service and you are going to get what you need for the cheaper price. read more

I have purchased 3 cars here and regularly use their service with no problems. Everyone is professional and, yes, sales people will try to sell options. That's where the money is and every company does it. When buying a car, know your price and details. I released a car from them in November of 2018 (2018 Ford Escape S). My first car experience with them was outstanding. This one, not so much. From the very beginning, there were issues starting with the alarm going off for no reason when I would lock my car. I brought it in to them, they couldn't duplicate the problem so gave it back. It started to happen again almost immediately. When I brought it back the second time, they were finally able to fix the problem and no issues. New problem - out running errands after work and stop to pick up my kids from their sitter and my car goes completely dead when I turn it off - no lights, nothing at all. I call the dealership and speak with Andrew in service. He tells me to have towed there and will look at it Saturday or Monday. It's 30 degrees out, I have 2 kids under 3 years old and no way to get them home. He finally agrees to bring me a loaner car and will have towed there. He assures me it will be looked at first thing Saturday morning. The tow truck driver gets there, looks at it and finds the problem in under a minute - loose battery cable FROM THE DEALERSHIP SERVICING IT!!!!! What if I was out with both kids in the car running errands and I'm stranded someplace or it's a snowstorm again?? I tell them this when they drop off the loaner and they tell me again will be fixed first thing Saturday. I call this morning and they haven't even looked at it - I'm told it will be atleast Monday or Tuesday before they can get to it. I WILL NEVER GO HERE AGAIN!!!!! read more

The salesperson was very thoughtful and polite; working with me to get an efficient yet affordable car and that is exactly what I got! I forget my car needs gas sometimes with its efficiency and the car was obviously well maintained by the previous owner before I received it(used 2011 Ford Fiesta). Even though I was denied a lease, they got someone to approve me for buying. They accepted my trashy van as a trade-in and my money down. When I go in for a small concern or periodic maintenance, the staff are always friendly and understanding, sometimes even cutting me a deal. I bought a new car one year ago. Since day one I've heard a strange noise in my engine when the car is off. I brought it to them & the guy told me that there is probably. Mouse running around in there. I have taken it there for an oil change which I had an apt for and I was there 2.5 hours. The noise was getting worse & I made an apt & dropped it off- after 5.5 hrs they said it was ready & explained that they submitted a request because they didn't know what it was. I was very upset. I submitted a complaint & the manager said to drop it off for the weekend & he will give me a rental. I was pressed for time & I told him that I needed it to be ready so I can just go. When I got there, no one knew who I was or what I was talking about. Eventually TONY came down & I had a crappy car waiting for me- he told me I needed to sign for it, so as my hands were full of bags- we walked & the lady said she needed a CC, insurance, & license which I was never told to bring. I only had my license & she denied me of the car because I am under 25! I was so mad. The manager TONY didn't say much & I explained how angry I was that a year later they cannot fix my car nor be competent enough to get their shit together. I carried all my bags back to my vehicle and he has not called me back with a solution in 5 days! Place is a joke ! read more
