Your service department on Union road told me my car starter was draining my battery and they had to remove it! After several calls to get my starter back I received it with all the wires cut! I was charged 240$ to remove it only for them to cut all the wires on a working remote starter! No apologies and no refund for my working remote starter! There was no reason to do this! a minute ago New I went on Thursday to get an inspection on my 2022 ford escape. I have less than 50K miles on this vehicles and take pride in taking care of my car. I never had any issues and brought the car brand new back in 2022. A day later after getting my inspection (which passed of coarse) my check engine light came on. I spent two hours at basil getting an inspection that Thursday. Which isn't the problem. When i called to have them look at it and schedule an appointment the women on the phone said they could pick it up from job since i was at work. After they picked it up they called me two hours later saying i would have to pay $199 plus tax to have them hook my car up just to check why the check engine light came on. I spoke with a Nicole there who neglected to check any warranties prior to throwing prices at me. She didn't seem sympathetic at all when i told her i wasn't told about this fee. I immediately asked to speak with the manager. Who called and droppped the fee down to $75 plus tax. (Just to diagnose the car) then later mentioned over $2000 in repairs. I found it ironic that basically sent me multiple texts message, calls and emails in attempt to buy my car (when i decided not to sell it and get a new car) i have alll these car problems. Terrible customer service and now a broken charging port in the front of my car. Livid is a understatement at the lack of transparency and the poor support & sympathy for what could have been their fault. The manager is telling me this could all be a coincidence. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! FIND A DIFFERENT FORD DEALERSHIP. I will be contacting headquarters and taking this as far up as i possibly can. read more

Buyer beware. DO NOT buy a used car here. I repeat, never buy a used car here. In the last 24 months, we have replaced the rusted out chassis, the brakes, and brake cylinders (which were painted over the rust), the electrical system, and now water pump, engine bearings, and fuel injection system (that was all hidden with electrical tape)...all for a truck that had 13k miles on it. We are now in over $18,000 for repairs the last 2 years, for basically a "practically new truck". Someone there made an intentional effort to hide the defects. We will see them in court. read more

I have been driving Ford trucks for 56yrs and Basil Ford was by far the worst service department I have ever experienced. I ordered new tires and my transmission checked out. They said I had to wait about 3-4 weeks to see the technician that's does their transmission work. I waited and the day came and when I got there they had no idea about my appointment or even the tires I ordered. After complaining to the manager they agreed to look at my truck but said we can tell you what's wrong but can't get to it today. I said that's fine but don't tell me at the end of the day I have no truck to drive as I am from out of town with no other transportation. He said no problem we will have a car for you. Well they told me it was not safe to drive and sorry no loner. I did get a loner after about a week but they kept my truck over 3wks. They did give it to me after a week but I had to turn around and go back to Basil because it still was not correct. Then two weeks later I did get my truck and it runs great. Other issues like charges that changed 3 times. No I will never do business with Basil Ford and it's their loss as I am looking to buy a new truck. read more

STAY AWAY FROM SERVICING DEPT.!!!! I had my ford focus in for the transmission recall back in June. Got it back with some improvement, but the stuttering was still present. The service member I spoke with said if it was below 2500rpm there wasn't anything they could do for me. Sure enough, 3 months later, I'm driving my car and the RPMs suddenly shoot up and my car totally shuts down with a faulty transmission error message on my dash. Luckily I coast to a side street and call Basil Immediately. Basil proceeds to tell me that they cannot look at it until the 30th and unfortunately would not be able to any sooner and that "THEY DONT KNOW IF ITS STILL THE SAME ISSUE". I then proceed to ask them if they are willing to give my car a tow. (My car was literally around the corner from them, less than half a mile away). The service manager stated that it would "HAVE TO BE AT MY EXPENSE" I'm done with Basil and done with Ford. I have traded my focus in and have gotten what little I could for a Subaru and I'm never going back to these people. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE listen to me and DO NOT ever go here for servicing. I cannot speak to how the sales dept. is. Go to West Herr or literally any other Ford Garage. I wouldn't wish this upon my worst enemy. read more

I went here for maintenance because I thought I could trust a Ford dealer. Boy was I wrong. They quoted me $800 for a repair that is at the maximum $400. They claim the part to replace is $279, my brother who also works for Ford, looked it up. The part is ~$20, $66 for retail from Ford. Maximum 3 hours of labor, so another $300 yet they claimed 4 hours of labor. They then said I needed a flush which is not needed for the replacement of a thermostat. They then tried to scare me by saying what could happen if it isn't fixed. However what they claimed was completely false, in fact the exact opposite of what they told us is what would happen. They lied to try to get us to buy their overpriced service and part. Then the cherry on top of the sundae, $130 fee for them to lie to us. Never been scammed so much before. read more

I'd suggest coming to their service center only in an emergency, but it's apparent they can't even handle that. My Ford Focus had a warranty fix on the transmission. Ford fixed it wrong and was breaking down as I drove. Stopped by Basil Ford, hoping to get a Ford fix on a Ford problem. I was told they couldn't so much as look at it for two weeks. If I wanted to leave my car there, they could look at it when they get a chance, in two weeks, and I could rent a car. But if I rented, they couldn't reimburse until they confirmed it was a Ford mistake, in two weeks. At that time, they may decide to reimburse the rental cost for one or two days. When I needed new tires I was shocked to learn basil ford decided to start selling these cars with unsafe lug nuts that are not 100% steel. I'm confused. I was constant contact with a rep (Matt) for a few days about a car that I found in stock via the on-line inventory system. I showed up to my appointment, and I was introduced to a salesman that couldn't find the car or anything similar to experience the features that I was interested in testing. And so, I was instead given a car to test drive that didn't resemble anything that I had asked to see. The salesman sat in the backseat and didn't say a word about the car. Nothing about the gas mileage or any of the selling points you'd expect to hear. Upon getting back to the dealership, I'm the one that had to ask to pop the trunk open to see the space. In the end, I decided to leave because nobody gave me anything to seriously consider buying. No alternative vehicles in the same price range or style were offered to test drive when the one I saw online couldn't be located. The salesman was just so unenthusiastic. read more

Not sure how buying and caring for a car should go but I have not enjoyed any of the customer service I've gotten here. (Actually there was one good moment where the customer service rep emailed me while i was out of the country to confirm a fix) Today I was told an hour I've been here for over 2 and looks to be another 30-60. While rotating tires (that they put on last and that i bought here) they broke my lugnuts. So i have to pay 50 in extra charges. I am not satisfied and today isn't the first dissapointing encounter. This starts with me buying a car here and told I have 4 new tires 6 months later I found out I actually only had 2 new tires. This is pretty much how it goes and part for the course. I also got bad wipers, and when I got my oil changed they disregarded checking my other fluids. 1 week later I go to use my wioer fluid and have none. Today he tried to upsell me on some bullshit fuel injector cleaner and when I called him on it he acknowledged it. I want to have a car get it serviced and not deal with extra bs. Don't upsell. Don't lie. You should be trustworthy. Next time I look for a car it won't be here. I recommended my sister buy a car here but that was the last one. Uodate they just comped my lugnuts [for an different reason I didnt complain] so i increased my 1 star to a 2 star. read more

The good: got a decent deal for a trade-in for a used vehicle upgrade in September, 2015. Received fair financing for the exchange. The bad: now *2* unpleasant encounters with the Service Department: 1. When I accidentally left my EZ-Pass in my former vehicle, they instead decided to throw it in the garbage can rather than give me a simple phone call (or e-mail, or text, or....) to come and pick it up. The serviceman, who looked like a Caucasian version of "The Grinch", looked bewildered, perplexed, and confused when I suggested the same to him directly. ("Customer Service? What's that??") 2. They scheduled me for warranty service (January, 2016) that they were not able to perform themselves. They knew the make and model of my vehicle, but scheduled the appointment anyway. More confusion and bewilderment when I arrived at my scheduled time. No apology was issued; no remorse was felt. Only one thing was accomplished on this day: incompetence/laziness completely wasted my time. There won't be a third unpleasant encounter with this outfit, as I have hereby and enthusiastically "said goodbye" to Basil Ford. read more

The week before Thanksgiving my tire pressure indicator light came on and the bluetooth stopped working in my car at the same time. I was meant to be making an eight hour drive that weekend, so I wanted to get it checked out asap. Called the dealer that sold me my car and not only were they booked, they were rude. When I called Basil Ford they got me an appointment the following morning. I was incredibly impressed with everyone I interacted with. I arrived very early in the morning, but everyone was pleasant and helpful. They needed the car for a few hours, so arranged a complimentary shuttle ride to and from work for me. The shuttle driver even offered to run through the Tim Hortons drive-thru so I didn't have to go without my morning coffee, which was really above and beyond. Had to order a part for the bluetooth (a three-to-five day wait, super reasonable especially given the holiday), but they fixed the tire pressure and refilled my wiper fluid at no charge and sent me on my way confident that my car would hold up for the long drive. read more

We are super happy with our vehicle. Our salesman Kevin was ok. However two things really bugged me. We were the last sale of the evening and due to that we felt sort of rushed and didn't receive some services like being shown the features of the vehicle, how to set up our vehicle (phone, Sirius, etc) and received a vehicle with less than 1/2 tank of gas. But what really sucked is that we are veterans and was not offered the veteran discount even though both the salesman and the finance dude - who were super nice - knew we were veterans.
