I've ordered from here for a while now and I have usually had a good experience. The last two times have been beyond disappointing. I got a make your own salad with grilled chicken and a few other ingredients. The salad costs over 20 dollars and I would have been better off getting it from subway based on the quality, display and amount of food. I had to search for the goat cheese and candied pecans that I ordered. The grilled chicken couldn't have been more than 2 ounces. And they forgot the dressing, leaving me with an overly dry salad. It looks like they grabbed the spinach out of a bag and just threw it into a gigantic plastic to-go container and then just plopped the sparse ingredients on top. I don't wanna say I'll never order from here again because the pizza is pretty good. But if you plan on getting a salad, DONT!!! The portions and the display was pathetic. read more

This is the third year I've ordered catering from Basil, and unfortunately it was a huge disappointment. The worst part was finding a HAIR baked into the pasta. It was absolutely disgusting, especially in front of my Thanksgiving guests. Everyone saw the hair being pulled out and immediately lost their appetite. When picking up the food, I noticed that the cooking areas were not clean or organized. More importantly, none of the staff in the store were wearing HAIRNETS. I think this reflects unhygienic cooking practices and poor food safety standards. I won't be ordering from here again. read more

The food here is absolutely stupendous, the ingredients are fresh and they do everything well. They have amazing calzones, amazing house salads and amazing sandwiches. I never thought I would be writing this because I really loved this store but they pulling some shit and mind you this is the second time. I went on DoorDash to order fried calamari with spicy Marinara Over Linguine. This was the same thing on their website but everytime, they bring me just calamari without the pasta on the side. The first time, they closed by the time I noticed and I had to go through DoorDash and DoorDash wouldn't even give me back my full refund. Today same shit happened, I was waiting for the food only to get just calamari without the pasta. I called the store immediately and they said DoorDash put their menu wrong that it's just Calamari whereas their website is the same as DoorDash. Then the customer rep proceeded to say that it is only when I call to place an order, that is when I will get the correct item. She went on and talked about how I should speak to DoorDash to get my money back since there's nothing she can do, I tried contacting DoorDash but they offered me $6.90 out of $30. It's looking like I'm a scammer to them because I did it before "complained to them about the incorrect item". I'm terribly angry because I'm going to bed hungry and how unheard of would it be to say that I literally bawled my eyes over the food after waiting for an hour to come. A few months ago, one early evening, I decided to walk in and asked to see if they will make Eggplant Rollatini without bread crumbs and I was praying that they will say yes. The lady that was at the front went in the back and asked the cooks, she came back and said no due to all the prep was done with breadcrumbs. I was like aww man, I was okay with it and moved on to order food. The nice lady told me for the future, I can call the place up in the morning or the night before to request Eggplant Rollatini without breadcrumbs and they will honor my request. Good to know for next time! As I was ordering the food, one of the cooks came out and said we have one eggplant left untouched!! with a big smile. I laughed and the nice lady asked if I still want what I requested, I replied oh yes please! My prayers were being answered. The nice lady at the front said, it will take a little longer to cook than normal and I told her no problem! Just take all the time you need, just made my night! That night, I ordered garlic bread eggplant parm sandwich for my father, ordered eggplant rollatini without bread crumbs and vegan dish with no pasta, which it is called Titi Olga. I could not wait to eat Eggplant Rollatini, I stopped eating gluten for two years and I missed eating Italian eggplant dishes due to bread crumbs. Many pizza and Italian restaurants look down on you if you asked to make food without bread crumbs. Their eggplant rollatini is delicious!!! I enjoyed it and I'm so happy that I just randomly walked into this location to get my eggplant fix. Thank you! My father enjoyed his sandwich. He would never though garlic knots sandwich would work lol Titi Olga is a healthy vegan dish and I enjoy it without feeling guilty. I ordered their signature roast beef sandwich and it just wasn't that good. I gave them another try and ordered chicken francese entree on another occasion. It was also a disappointment. It came on pasta and there was almost no sauce. Picture dry pasta basically. Some sauce at the bottom that just tasted like squeezed lemon over the whole dish. No subtlety at all. The food itself is delicious. However, they can take a long time to deliver the food. I would recommend going in for pickup instead. I definitely recommend their paninis. They give a huge portion! I recommend their #13 N.G panini that comes with zucchini, mozzarella, and portobello mushrooms. I have also gotten their grilled chicken wrap with arugula, roasted peppers, and mozzarella. I love how fresh their mozzarella is and you can really taste the cheese. Their balsamic glaze sauce is also awesome! Their pizzas are also large and tasty. read more

I ordered two things off their lunch menu since I had received a few texts promoting their lunch specials. I ordered the 12" cheese pizza and the mamacita panini. Needless to say I was disappointed with both. My kids literally spit the pizza out and no amount of garlic or Parmesan cheese was masking the bitter taste of their sauce. Stopped in to this place on a work trip at the beginning of December because of the good reviews on Yelp. It was blistering cold outside and I was looking for a full plate pasta to fill me up and warm me up. At first glance on the sidewalk you might pass this spot by but that would be a huge mistake because the food was so so good. I ordered a salad and small baked ziti. Salad dressing was delightful (honey chipotle and tastes homemade)! Then the baked ziti...whoa! The sauce was just right and the baked cheese was bubbly and browned to perfection. I was not disappointed. In fact I nearly finished the entire thing. Since I can't give half stars I'm giving them all 5 and would have deducted half a star for the ambience. Very little seating inside and all of it is right in front of the door-which in December is a no-go! With the food so good it makes me wonder why they haven't upgraded to a nicer location! The square pies are really delicious and unlike a standard square pie. Kind of like an L&B style pie...but different. Hard to explain, but I do know that if I want a good square pie, Basil is a great option. The paninis are great as well. I love the Action Jaxon. They are HUGE though, so I would suggest getting the 1/2 sized one unless you want leftovers for the next day. So walked in here and the place is super cute. I went in to make a catering order for Christmas (sorry took me a while to write the review). And was greeted by the owner. Who was so nice. I ordered catering for Christmas and it was an amazing price and also after eating it was a great deal between price and quality and how great the food was.
