He was especially lively and energetic when announcing the entrance of our wedding party and really helped set the tone for the evening. Once the dancing started, John seemed to have a great feel for the room and knew exactly what songs would keep the dance floor packed and the energy up. He put together a great mix of upbeat dance songs and slower songs, and the music never seemed to lose momentum. One of the things we appreciated most was that it still felt like *our* music and our taste, just put together and managed far better than we ever could have done ourselves. I met with Ryan, who is professional but also just a cool dude. You can tell he gets it, and is up on the trends in the music and entertainment world. He took me through a whole presentation and explained how all of the wedding could be planned through their portal. The portal makes sure you address all the possible needs of a wedding- cocktail hour, first dances, bouquet tosses, and even if you want to accept requests or not, etc., but it's easy to indicate if you're skipping anything as well. His presentation was thorough and answered all my questions so I booked them the next day. I just went with their 6 hour DJ package, but they also offer longer packages with additional lighting and sound features, uplighting, fabric, photo booths, etc. You could really get a lot taken care of through this company! Although Ryan was not our DJ, the DJ we had (Chris B.) was very good. He played a great mix of songs and lots of people were dancing all night!! The guy never took a break, even though I did plan for him to eat dinner. My only two issues, which really weren't a big deal was that at one point the Christmas song "Silver Bells" came on during cocktail hour, and I promise that was not a song request. The other thing was that a few of our selected dance songs weren't the exact version I expected to here, but it was still the correct song overall so it wasn't a big deal. Once we made our first deposit, Tony sent us login info for our online client data base, which we were able to make our "must play, maybe play, and absolutely do not play" playlists. I LOVED that we were able to organize the music in this way, as I was much more at ease for what the evening would look like. For the entire year of our engagement, Tony responded to all emails within an instant. For my father-daughter dance, I had arranged it with my dad that he was to choose a song, and it would be a surprise to me up until the minute it played at our reception. Tony and my dad corresponded back and forth without me knowing, and this was pulled off without any issues! The day of our reception, which was the first time I was even meeting Tony, he put me at immediate ease. He came up to my fiance and I, introduced himself, and quickly ran through how the evening would go. I was worried about the amount of talking via DJ would be taking place (I HATE going to weddings and the DJ acts more like an emcee the entire night, rather than a DJ) but Tony was PERFECT. I'm also still waiting for a phone call back. Upon booking, I had great communication. I was obviously excited, considering all the great reviews. It was roughly 1.5 weeks out from our wedding. Crickets didn't hear anything form anyone. I had to reach aid touch base to talk to someone (who ended up being our DJ) Upon arrival to our reception our party bus driver was running 15 minutes late, in return really bothered the DJ and he made it well known. I had spent hours adding the music to the app that 27 entertainment sent me to download that we wanted played. Dinner music (half of which that was not even played) must play and do not plays. As the bride, I asked the DJ to play a song during the reception. In which he told me "I already played that." I heard less than half of the songs I was told to pick up and put on the app they use. I wouldn't have wasted hours of my time selecting and adding music if I would've known it wasn't going to be played. Not to mention, shortly after the reception started DJs back speaker blew and we had several guests walk up to us stating they couldn't hear anything at the back of our venue. I will say the uploading that was available was very nice. Finally, at the end of the night the DJ started playing what we asked for. We finally had guests out on the dance floor, so my husband offered to pay him cash for an extra hour considering leading up to this was not going well. I reached out to 27 entertainment a few weeks after my wedding just to let them know of what had happened. I was very clear. I did not want to refund or any money back. I just wanted to let somebody know of the issues. I was told on the phone " well, your event has obviously came and gone so we can't take it back. But I'll talk to the DJ and I'll get back to you never wants a sorry this is not our standard. Almost 3 years later. I'm waiting for a follow up from 27 entertainment.
