As soon as we walked in the door at Windy City we felt welcomed and that we had found what we were looking for. They have a demonstration set up so you can actually see what the lights will look like on your wedding day so you're not picking randomly through a package you can only visualize through description. They are also willing to crank up their sound system and show you their computers just to help you understand how it all works. He also said we could request any song and as long as it was available on iTunes, he would have it for us, with no additional charge. My (then fiance) husband was SOLD. I was contacted by the DJ we were going to be working with about two weeks before our wedding. He asked me if I had any specific requests. I did. About a week before the wedding I emailed him a specific list of songs I needed played during dinner and then a couple requests (as well as a couple of "if you play these songs, I'll shoot you" songs) for dancing. On the day of, I didn't even need to talk to the DJ once. While some people would think that is a bad thing, I thought it was excellent. What's even better is that if (miraculously) they don't have something, they'll get it at no cost to you!! They have a few packages to choose including simple setups for just music to large setups including various light machines and other fun things. They have an on line area where you can setup play lists of specific songs or just genre's. Or you can simply just tell them what NOT to play. You can customize any part of the experience including how involved the DJ will be with your event. Anything from "just play the music" to "get the party started!!" They'll do whatever it takes to make sure that you and, more importantly, your guests have a great time. We hired them for our wedding this past June at Brookfield Zoo. They arrived on time and setup without any interference from us. They stuck to our play list and took some requests from our guests while being respectful of our "no play" list. The DJ took care of all announcements and was articulate and friendly. To be honest, I don't remember seeing the DJ that much even though we were dancing a good part of the night. Dominic is the DJ at Vaughan's Pub on Sheffield and also had a great resume of other company/corporate events & weddings that he has done . . . I knew he would do a great job with the music and when meeting with him I learned that he also did video production. We hired him to do our Kick off opening day module for meeting. We needed something that would get the employees excited and engerized for the next 3 days. Dominic created about a 5 minute video showcasing all of our brands in an extremely creative and upbeat way (all set to great music of course). The video was great and I actually received several requests for copies of it including one from the head of our Board of Directors who was totally impressed and showed it at the next board meeting. We also hired him to DJ our evening events . . . first night was the welcome cocktail reception, the second night was a casino/roaring 20's themed party. The first night was great, played great music and kept everyone mingling way past the end of dinner. The second night was even better than the first (and 7 mths later, people are still talking about him). We had a Roaring 20's themed night & Dominic was the hit of the party. He dressed up like a gangster, started out the first part of the night with appropriately themed music and then graduated into dance music and had the whole party on the dance floor . . . the hotel literally had to kick us out of the ballroom. We originally only hired him for 2 nights, but actually ended asking him to come back for the third night to DJ our award cermony. . . and again he was a hit.
