Great haircut. Great set-up with couches and big screen TV if you need to wait. Definitely recommend this place.

I'm 50, 1/2 the time I'll just buzz myself up and I've become pretty good at it over time. But there's nothing like the barbershop experience! I used to have a regular barber for years but no longer see him as he's too hard to nail down these days.so I've been bouncing around for my haircuts for about the past 3 years I'd say. Like I said, I don't go very often. One random Sunday I was looking around locally (of course) and I found "Joe's" open. I poked my head in and asked if walk-ins were accepted and he graciously answered "yes." Joe asked what I was looking for and I told him the same thing I've been telling barbers since I was 16.....when I'd finally talked my Mother out of the classic "boys regular!" She cried for an entire weekend. Anyway I asked for a fade, skin on the bottom up to a #1. Nice and short. Leave enough on the top to hard-part, gel, and slick to the side with a little Elvis-like flip on the top front, y'know! A 'lil something to work with. Eazy-peezy. I was the only one in the shop throughout the hair cut. Joe and I became faintly acquainted in that time talking about work, the families, the kids, a little sports and whatever else we talk to the barber about. I kind of felt like he was taking a little long but I enjoyed the conversation and had no place special to be. If I'd gone home too quick I would've ultimately ended up spreading mulch or something off the honey-do list so I relaxed and settled in. When he finished I couldn't believe what an incredible job this guy had done on my hair! This was one of those haircuts that you leave actually feelin' GOOD about how you look. The fade was perfect, the hard-line was thick like I asked, straight like a laser and tight! He trimmed the top perfectly with the scissors so I could stil do my thing with it. I went home and my wife loved it! Actually paid attention to me! Lol. I was happy that I'd found my new barber. Went back about 3 months later, the place was packed like the Roxy in 1995 on a Saturday night. I swear there was a DJ in there! There should've been. Bit nope. Just a bunch of miserable bastards like myself in there with their faces buried in their phones with their heads down showing their 4th and 5th chins as Joe sheared 'em down one by one like sheep in the pastures of Sicily. "Next!" echoed thru the small place as I walked up and once again hopped on the old-style chair for another fresh cut. Like I said, the place was busting at the seams. Honestly there had to be 7 guys in there waiting. I actually waited a good hour before I sat in the chair, and explained the exact same cut request to him. I think he remembered me. The difference? Where do I start!?. He told me I was done after about 10-15mins! There was NO fade! It started at the bottom at about a 1/2 and ended up the sides at like a #1 with a clearly defined length difference around the sides. It was ridiculous. It takes a lot for me to question a barbers work as I'm standing up from the chair just based on respect, nerves, and I'm not the confrontational type but I said "I thought we were doing a fade? And I wanted it down to skin at the bottom back and sides. I'm sorry..." He said "oh ok" kind of nonchalantly and finished the car accident he started on my head for me before rushing to call "next" for the next guy. He totally rushed thru it because of how packed it was and it was nearing closing time. I ended up going home to my wife and kids laughing at me saying "he Gumped you Dad!!! Hahaha! Dad was Gumped!"(Forrest Gump). I went upstairs and shaved my head to a wiffle. My feelings are this-he simply started banging haircuts out when it was crowded and that's what went awry. I still tipped him great, whatever, but I'll be honest I was a little peeved. I'll go back but only if I'm one on one because he give a GREAT cut in that situation!
