On my first trip here, we had an issue where something we didn't order got delivered to us, and our momo went to another table. I wrote it off as just a mix-up, but when we returned today, it happened again. On both occasions, the food that had sat on the wrong table was then given to the correct table. Wow! Blown away by the amazing food here! We had the veggie pakora, fried momo, chicken saag, shrimp tikka masala, and garlic naan. Everything was flavorful and just all around incredible! Really impressed by the how perfectly the shrimp were cooked; they weren't soggy or mushy at all despite the 15 minute car ride home in a takeout container. The sauce that came with the fried momo was so good, I could literally just eat it on top of plain white rice. Great portion sizes, prices are more than reasonable, friendly service, and all the carry out packaging seems to be sustainable/recyclable too. I'll definitely be a repeat customer! Atmosphere is pretty minimalist and bare bones in the restaurant, but I'm totally okay with that. They've got a sizable outdoor patio which was packed when I was grabbing my takeout order. read more

My wife and I had lunch there on a Thursday. Service was great: very friendly and quick. The place looks surprisingly nice for a shopping center restaurant. They did a good job remaking the space from the previous tenant. The food was quite good. The appetizers of the fried chicken momos was complemented nicely by the dipping sauce, and the garlic naan is what you'd expect. My bowl of shyakpa was much bigger than I was expecting with plenty of lamb. I had it mild with a side of their hot sauce, which I used very little of! My wife said her vegetable biryani was delicious. I tried her mango lassi; very tasty without being too sweet. We look forward to going back. read more

This was my first time visiting base camp since I'm not from the Ann Arbor area. When my partner and I arrive we where not greeted (no one else in line) and when we where greeted they where rude. I asked to sit on their patio and they made my partner and I pay before we even got our food. I believe it was based on us both being African American people and they have a racist way of conducting their business. The food was ok.But I can say I do not feel comfortable coming back to this restaurant. When our server took our order she had a manger come out with her to see if we would pay I assume. We decided to try this Restaurant tonight and I was very disappointed. We (just me and my spouse) were seated quickly and the water came out pretty fast...we were ready to order at that time, but weren't asked if we wanted any other drinks, if we were ready to order it anything. We waited a good 10 minutes and had to flag someone down to actually place our order. We ordered two dishes and some tibetan bread and waited a while for the food (which is surprising since I can't imagine each dish is cooked to order). They did not bring everything out at once, or even within a few minutes of each other. The first dish came out with a VERY skimpy amount of rice (maybe a cup of I am being generous), then another 10 or so minutes and the second dish came out (again with a skimpy amount of rice). We waited likely a total of 30 minutes for the bread. We were done with our meal before it arrived. Also they charge around $2.50 for fountain drinks, but do not offer refills. The food tasted good, which is why I give it 2 stars. Work on your service and it would be a good place to go. read more

Delicious Indian and Himalayan food! The steamed and fried dumplings (moms) are the best. We get a variety of Indian dishes and they are always great. We usually get carryout, it is very fast and well-prepared, and prices are reasonable. read more

OMG, OMG! What a gem of a place! I've been going here frequently and it has become one of my favorite restaurants. The food is excellent, the wait staff is very attentive and delightful, the parking is ample, and the restaurant is spacious with very nice and tasteful decor. First time I ate there today. Service was great, food was excellent. I had the special that included chicken makhain, a vegetable dish, soup, rice, naan, lal Mohan, and a drink. Prices reasonable for the amount of food you get. I highly encourage you to check this place out. It's difficult for me to rate the food because it never came. My companion and I waited an hour and a half and it never arrived. I brought the delay to the attention of the staff and they said they were sorry; nevertheless 15 minutes later there was still no food. We left some money on the table and walked out. I recently went here with my family for lunch and we enjoyed a great meal! We arrived during prime lunch time and were seated immediately. Our waitress was very friendly and provided lots of recommendations from the menu. Our food arrived relatively quickly and tasted delicious! We ordered the Chicken Bhuteko, Aalu Cauli, Chicken Biryani, naan bread, and vegetable momo dumplings! I would recommend ordering multiple items and sharing them to enjoy the different foods! The portions are also relatively large (especially the chicken biryani) so you can enjoy them later too! read more
