He explained all of the features, and I got to take it for an awesome test ride. His team added slime to the tires, put on a bottle rack, as well as a bike bag, with no extra charge for labor. Alex and his son even took a look at a broken part of our bike rack that we got at REI. They were able to pinpoint the issue and seem to have fixed it as well! No charge. Excellent customer service!

We purchased a bike here thinking we were getting a new bike at a fair price. Unfortunately, it…read morebecame a constant source of problems and seemed to be back in the shop every other week. Repairs could take weeks, and although they did continue to work on the bike, my son was still paying charges when he picked it up. Also, the unprofessionalism from the owner Rick was just outrageous. My biggest concern was learning how parts, particularly motors, were being handled. We were told that motors were being swapped between bikes. At one point, we were told they were waiting for a motor but, if it didn't arrive in time, they would take a motor from another new bike that was coming in and put it on ours. That really bothered me. If parts are routinely being removed from one bike and installed on another, I question what exactly "new" means when purchasing one of these bikes. We bought what we believed was a new bike, yet our experience involved motors being moved between different bikes, and after dealing with repeated motor problems, that certainly didn't give me confidence in what we had purchased or how the warranty repairs were being handled. The customer service experience didn't help. Before an out-of-state trip, I specifically discussed our travel dates with the owner, and my son was provided a rental with the understanding that we would have it during that time. While we were away, the owner suddenly called on a Friday afternoon demanding it back that same day and became angry when I explained that wasn't possible. He even mentioned speaking with his lawyer, despite our having discussed the trip beforehand. You can't agree to provide someone a rental for a period of time and then expect them to immediately change their plans because you suddenly want it back. In the end, we got tired of the repeated problems, long repair times, charges, and poor communication and sold the bike just to be done with it. They did honor repairs and continued working on the bike, which I will give them credit for, but having a supposedly new bike constantly needing repairs--combined with learning that motors and parts were being swapped between bikes--left us very uncomfortable with the entire experience. Based on what we experienced, I would not purchase another bike here.

WOW! We purchased Trek bikes in the past from Mike's Bikes, which used to be a Trek dealer, and we…read morebought these e-bikes from Trek in Austin back in 2021, but over time and a move, the bikes really needed a tune-up. My husband's brakes were rubbing and squealing badly, and my bike gears would slip occasionally. We pulled up to Mike's and noticed that they didn't list Trek on the door, so we called and verified that they were no longer a Trek dealer. Because of the ongoing issues that haven't been addressed correctly by other shops, we decided to take the bikes to Trek in Highlands Ranch for their Trek e-bike expertise. (I should add that we have other bikes that aren't Trek, and we will bring those back to Mike's because they've been good to us for over a decade, and they are also very knowledgeable). When we first went into the shop part of the store, we were met by a really nice young guy working the counter. At first we thought he might have been retail, but as soon as he started telling us all about our bikes, educating me about the shocks and even a clutch I didn't know existed, he listened to our concerns and knew exactly what needed to be done. I was blown away. They told us it might take a week or so to get them back, so we were pleased when we got the call this morning to come pick them up after only a couple days. We had taken our bikes to two different shops three different times in Summit County, but the issues were never fully addressed. My husband said he was going to "immediately go on a ten-mile ride in Denver" before we came back up the mountain to ensure that the bikes were fixed, but he had so much confidence in the Trek shop that he decided to forgo a ride and just come back to Silverthorne. He just returned from a ride and said "it feels like a brand new bike!" He asked me if I would write a quick review to compliment the folks at Trek for doing such a GREAT JOB. Thanks so much!
