After a horrible experience with a local gyno (where she convinced me that I was depressed -I'm not, it's called PMS- and needed to be on happy pills), I've been a bit skeptical of docs. After reading Julia's review, however, I decided Dr. P sounded like my kinda woman, "someone I would love to have a beer with?" say no more. So I scheduled my appointment on Friday and they were able to put me in on Monday. I showed up at 3:30 (my assigned time), fearing I'd end up spending my entire afternoon there. Within 10 minutes I was seen by a nurse and within another 5 Dr. P showed up. She's just awesome. Totally conversational, quick to put you at ease, thorough... We talked about my medical history, she ran through a few exams, prescribed some medicine for my nagging cough, and sent me off for some blood work. I was out of the office by 4:15! This medical group has always been great about calling me back and getting me in the office ASAP when I'm sick. They have late evening appointments which work great with my schedule. I was told to follow up w my primary doctor which I did not have at the time. I scheduled an appointment w Dr. Johnson provided her the ER paperwork n RX bottle she refused to assist me with my panic attacks. She was brief w my medical history and showed lack of concern. I scheduled an appointment with a Psych two weeks later. During that period I suffered massive panic attacks and was completely miserable. The office would not help me and referred me back to the ER. Now I am stuck with a $200 ER bill for a diagnosis that could have been treated by Dr. Johnson and the office. While my PCP (Personal Care Physician) is right there, my cardiologist and urologist are right downtown 30 minutes away. They have an excellent online presence where I can schedule appointments, see lab results and exchange messages with my doctor and staff. The time saved from telephone holding is tremendous, and worth the price of admission. This technology really works. I feel integrated into their network, as all my doctors use the same site, called My PennMed. Now that I am finally catching up with my health maintenance delayed by Covid the past two years, I am feeling more confident that I am taking care of myself the right way again with the help of the PennMed health system. That sense of security is priceless in this day and age.

And normally I'm very understanding, but this office does not respect the patients time. Over the summer I drive 2.5 hours home from the shore, got to my appointment 15/20 moms early, and the Dr/Whomever was administering this test (which they only do once a month), had left early. No phone call, apology, just that, "oh s/he left early"z Also, it's a shame the woman at the desk aren't more helpful, understanding, or better yet human, otherwise this office might be alright.

They look at you, give you an RX and a bill. I finally gave up and found a new practice. They could care less about you.
