I was placed face-down fully clothed on a large massage table that was separated from others by a half wall partition. There were nature sounds and soft music playing to block any noise. If you're used to a massage where you unclothe yourself and are rubbed down with oil in a private room, this is not that. This is more like a traditional Thai massage where your body is stretched, pushed, and lightly pounded. The foot massage takes place on loungers nearby. It started with a foot soak and followed by reflexology and massage, as well as stretching. I left feeling very relaxed, like a limp noodle. The price can't be beat! I will be back!

I got the Orange Peel Spa Pedicure ($74), which includes 30 minutes of reflexology and a keratin foot wrap. The spa itself was very clean, quiet, and relaxing, and they had a nice selection of nail polish colors. The pedicure was well done overall. My only small critique is that I would have loved for the sugar scrub portion to last a little longer and include a bit more of a leg massage. The massage chairs are fairly basic compared with some nail spas, but they still got the job done. The reflexology was definitely a highlight! It was a true full 30 minutes and included hot stones, which was a really nice touch. Between the pedicure, foot treatment, and dedicated reflexology time, I thought the experience was relaxing and a good value. Overall, a great experience, especially for a relaxing Sunday appointment. I'll definitely be back!

For the past year I have been dealing with pain from Rotator Cuff Tendonitis (irritation & swelling…read moreof the tendons of the shoulder). I tried Physical Therapy for 2 months with minimal positive results. Then one weekend I exacerbated the problem by spreading mulch for several hours. I was in constant pain and nothing seemed to give me relief. I heard that acupuncture can be an effective treatment for chronic shoulder pain so I decided to give it a try. The results were immediate and my pain was relieved by 90% after the first treatment. I have been going to weekly treatments for the past 4 weeks and I am amazed at how much better I feel. I went to Advanced Health Care Solutions (AHC) http://www.advancedhealthcaresolutions.org/ which is a family owned business at the corner of Strickland and Creedmoor and talked to them about my issue. They recommended that I have a Digital Thermal Imaging Scan which showed the areas of inflammation around my shoulder and neck area. Then using the scans Dr. Marc Cutler, the Acupuncturist began treatment. Dr. Cutler was professional and knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. His staff was also courteous and attentive to my needs. As background Dr. Cutler is a past President of the North Carolina Acupuncture Association and has operated one of the most successful Acupuncture & Integrative Practices in NC for the past 20 years (see his bio on their website). Fortunately, Acupuncture works great for rotator cuff tendinitis. First, it works by increasing the circulation to the area and decreasing inflammation in the tendons. Secondly, acupuncture stimulates regrowth of the cells and tissues in an injured area. And as I experienced, it helped to reduce my pain significantly which was a huge relief. Some other Common Conditions treated with Acupuncture are below. I know of someone that went to Dr. Cutler for allergies and was able to stop getting weekly shots for their grass allergies. He is even mowing grass now with no issues!: * Allergies * Carpal Tunnel Syndrome * Back Pain * Neck Pain * Knee Pain * Bells Palsy * Nerve Pain * Post Stroke Recovery * Paralysis * Fibromyalgia * And many other health issues

So, my experience is somewhat interesting. I purchased a Groupon and called to schedule an…read moreappointment. I had to leave a message and it was returned a few days later. Unfortunately, I didn't get the call and the message instructed me to go online and schedule as they didn't have a staff person who made appointments. I went online and realized I had to create a profile and I didn't want to do that for a Groupon because I may not like the service and I didn't want an account until I knew the experience. So, I called back, left a message and a few dates that would work for me. This is where it went downhill. Turns out, she called me back and left a message on August 1. Unfortunately, I didn't get that message because in the message, she stated that one of the dates I had stated was available and to call back if I was going to take it. But, I didn't get the message. On Tuesday morning, she called me asking if I was going to come and it took me off guard because I did have a massage appointment with another place so I was thinking this that place. I immediately checked my calendar and didn't see an appointment but, I was free for 3:30 and I needed an appointment so I said yes. I will be there. We discussed in the call that I had not gotten a confirmation (but it didn't make sense at the time) and she then sent it to me via email. My mistake is that I didn't open it until I was headed there because the conversation was she was sending me her "new" address, not other details. Turns out, in that email, she also asked me to arrive a few minutes early to complete paperwork. She never mentioned this on the phone. I left in enough time to get to the appointment but ran into two sections of construction traffic and then, I was driving my husband's truck with a trailer (that I do not know how to back up) and silly me, I pulled into the parking lot and just couldn't get it right. I was 8 minutes late walking into the office and that's when the situation/experience turned sour. I immediately walked in and apologized for being late letting her know of the construction traffic. She then asked for me to complete the forms which I was attempting while she stood and hovered over me - she then ask which massage I had and I replied that I could not do both - complete the forms and share which massage I had because I needed my hands to look at the Groupon. And, looking back, if I had actually made an appointment, that information would have been taken (at least I hope). By this time, we are both frustrated so I ask if it was best to reschedule. She told me that, she felt insulted because I stated that in the rush to complete the papers and trying to get my massage, she really didn't have enough time to review it to serve me. I also recommended that when an appointment is scheduled to email the form so the client can bring it in completed (BUT, I never had a confirmed appointment - remember, I got the confirmation that day). She sat down beside me and tried to make it out as if I was having a bad day but I wasn't. And, I tried to step away but she basically told me that she didn't want to service me. It was okay by me because at that point, I certainly did not want a massage from her. I thought she was rude and to be honest, thought she had a race complex but she stated she did not. So, I have to take her word for it. At any rate, she is not someone I would recommend - how do you call someone the day of when you never actually had a confirmed appointment making it sound as if, there was one and calling to see if it would be kept.
