Let just say that I already scheduled my next session. She was gentle, compassionate and very attentive! The room was very comfortable and smelled great with 3 diffusers with essential oil. She gave me a bag full of salt with instructions on what to do and with a bottle water. She takes the time to get to know you and truly sees you as a person and not just a customer. She is easy to talk to and is able to adapt to your individualized needs for the massage experience. While my previous massage experience was limited to 3 different places, Tanya has hands-down created the most welcoming space. As a person who is more reserved and hesitant about opening up both about myself and my personal space, I immediately felt at ease. She took the time to determine exactly what type of massage (level of pressure, areas that may need more attention, etc.) would meet my goal: to decompress. During the massage itself, I was able to unwind and felt the burdens of life--big or small--melt away. I have nodded off each time, a sure sign that my mind has been liberated from nagging thoughts of that never-ending to-do list.

I don't want to have to direct the session or explain what to prioritize--I'm looking for a practitioner who can assess, listen, and work intuitively from their own expertise. That's exactly what I experienced here. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was calm, peaceful, and grounding. The space felt safe, clean, and thoughtfully prepared, which allowed me to fully relax and receive. During the session, the therapist demonstrated a high level of skill, sensitivity, and clinical understanding. She was intuitive in her approach and addressed areas of need without me having to guide the process. I felt that she was both listening to my body and applying her professional knowledge in a way that was precise and deeply therapeutic. It's not easy to find that balance of clinical effectiveness and intuitive care, but she offers both. I left feeling supported, more mobile, and genuinely cared for. I would absolutely recommend her to anyone looking for medical or therapeutic massage, especially if you want to be able to trust your practitioner and simply receive the work.

It's not your typical swedish massage place since they're medically based (and I don't really have a medical reason... Also, if you are interested in the prenatal massage, this place has the equipment for you to be on your belly as an option and not just the side massage. She books up fast and I didn't realize I was picky until I came here on a whim. Office is nice, professional and cozy. Love the essential oils used. You walk in feeling well taken care of. I'm pretty sure I had the WORST knot in my left shoulder/back area that I've ever had in my life so I needed a massage and needed it asap. The day I bought the groupon I was scheduled that night at 730pm. Perfect, since I work til 5pm. I was SUPER skeptical and nervous about going somewhere to have a private massage, at night, by a man. I've always had a female perform my massage. Well, I didn't have the luxury of being picky since the knot in my back was effecting my day. I had Derrit for a full body massage, and let me tell you something... It was the best massage I'd ever had. He was incredibly professional, listened to my chatter and didn't judge me when I kinda dozed off and my hands fell off the table haha. Even though it was a full body massage, not once did he ever make me feel uncomfortable and not once did he go to far. He respected that I was a woman and never came close to crossing the line. Most massage therapists, when you have a full body massage, they spend a certain amount of time on a section of the body and don't touch it again. I had expressed concern for a knot in my back and Derrit constantly went back over the area to make sure it was rubbed out, and to spend extra time on that area. And a couple times throughout the massage he applies a steamy, wet hot towel to your back to relax, sooth and loosen up your muscles. The music is wonderful, soothing, and not too loud, the table is heated so not once was I cold. The lights are perfectly dimmed, And afterwards you're given a bottle of water to flush those toxins! Derrit is also knowledgable on health, exercise and gives excellent advice on ways to improve your posture, fitness and ways to not get those nasty knots in your back! I know this is LONG, but I highly recommend Therapeutic Royal Massage!
