This was my first time having Ecuadorian food, and I absolutely loved it. I went for breakfast, and had the Bolon de maduro, which is similar to mangu or mofongo. It also came with a side of thin steak, which was cooked perfectly and with a savory sauce similar to a ropa vieja sauce. It also came with an egg and a choice between coffee americano and cafe con leche. The presentation of the coffee was very cool: they gave me a clear glass of coffee and a glass of milk to pour in.

Everything is delicious! A bit pricy but worth it if you like Ecuadorian food. Pictures are for the following dishes: Caldo de Bola (peanut, meat, veggie stuffed plantain ball soup) Carne apanada con arroz y lentejas (breaded steak with white rice and lentils) Side order of maduros (sweet plantain) and chifles (crispy plantain chips) Humitas dulce (sweet maize stuffed with cheese) Cazuela de pescado (peanut and plantain dish stuffed with fish in a specialty pot) Barzola desayuno, con bolon de Maduro mixto. (their signature breakfast with sweet plantain ball stuffed with cheese and fresh pork belly and rind (chicharrón) Encebollado de pescado (fish and onion soup usually a hangover cure!) Empanada de verde (plantain empanada stuffed with melted cheese) Drinks were colada (a sweet cinnamon oat drink) and Ecuadorian Pilsner. Coffee not pictured is delicious and strong! Naranjilla or Lulo shake is spot on, citrusy and tart but sweet.

This is an updated review from my original 2017 one. I was there yesterday, and the food was excellent, I had a bolon of chicharron, encebollado mixto and my husband had seafood soup. The restaurant opens at 9am, we arrived at 10am. The employees greeted us with an annoying look in their faces. It took them 45 minutes for them to bring the bolon,, no water until we ordered a quaker drink. Almost an hour later for our food to arrive and we were the only customers there!!! Customer service and speed has not improved since the last time I was there and they don't seem to care. If it wasn't because I was having a huge craving for encebollado, I would not go back. Oh, the 2 soups +2 drinks +1 bolon= $80

My Ecuadorian friends took us to this amazing place. I had never had Ecuadorian food. It was amazing!! We truly loved it, the drinks were very good too. I just didn't like the service added to the bill.

Drove all the way from west palm beach, online it says they close at 4pm, got here at 3:20pm. Staff was very rude saying they are already closed. I wonder if the owners of this establishment know about how staff treats customers. My boyfriend even called ahead of time to let them know we were on the way. Unreal.

The food was delicious but a little pricey because it's not an elegant place! The humita was to die for and so was the bolon! Also had Ecuipicada Barzola which has fritada (pork) and sea food enough for two people! My husband enjoyed the Beer from Ecuador Pilsner!

Horrible and overpriced food. On top of that they will add an extra 20% and expect another tip on top.

I'm a big foodie and don't mind paying top dollar for a great meal, especially when it comes to Peruvian cuisine, which is one of my absolute favorites. Unfortunately, this place fell far short. The service lacked attention to detail from the start. We were given a tablet for the menu, but the first one didn't work. When we finally got a functioning one, it was difficult to navigate and honestly made the experience frustrating rather than enjoyable. The space is also very cramped. We had a stroller, and while arriving wasn't too bad since some tables were empty, leaving was a nightmare. No one offered assistance or made any effort to help us navigate out with a child. It felt unwelcoming and inconsiderate. As for the food, it was not worth the $126 bill. We ordered a ceviche and a chaufa. The chaufa was overly greasy and didn't seem properly prepared. We requested shrimp and fish but were only given fish - and were charged an additional $9 for it. On top of that, our drinks arrived last, and I had to repeatedly ask for water and even a spoon so I could feed my baby some rice. I felt bad doing so because the food was simply not good. Overall, this was a very poor experience, and I would not recommend it. Save your money and go somewhere else.

They offer a great variety of foods, lots of appetizers and different kinds. See menu in photos. I decided to try the bang bang shrimp, which it does state that it comes with 12 shrimps. Let me tell you, each shrimp was coated perfectly, and you could see the whole shrimp, even after leaving it at the table, you still would get a good crunch out of it.. not sure how they do it but it works! Ive tried banging bang shrimp at many places, and I can honestly say this is the best one I ever had. Not once did my shrimp texture ever feel soggy. I tried the chicken quesadilla and boneless wings and flat breads, all were delicious, none of us had any issues with any of the foods. And all the drinks were also good, none of my friends had any issues. Had the honor of being able to get a sneak peek of the speak easy and I have to say I am shook. Normally this is something you would see in Miami or Fort Lauderdale but for local broward county to have this is just super cool! Its located behind the book shelf, open on Thursday, Fridays and Saturdays. As soon as you walk in you feel so peaceful and calm and cozy. If you walk in there feeling negative, sad or anxious and then you will leave with a sense of inner peace that help you feel some calm vybes. This is definitely a spot to have a date night and drinks or even a cappuccino. We got to meet one of the owners Dylan and he was such a delight, even shared a lovely story of the family inspiration behind opening this restaurant. You will definitely walk out of here feeling positivity . Will be coming again more often. Check out there Instagram to see the latest events, they have trivia nights as well and live performances.

One time for a small karaoke with a friend and a birthday event another time. To use their karaoke, you'd have to be in the main room and they had more food options, like appetizers and a couple types of soups if I recall. While in the speakeasy comedy event, there was a full bar which was expected but I also noticed that they only had a small bites menu. I wasn't in the mood to have almost any of the bites since I was very full from the late lunch. So, I opted for the dessert they had on there, the espresso affogato. That satisfied my sweet tooth and I'm more likely to get it again. I was a little disappointed that there was no happy hour menu like last time especially on a weeknight -- it was a Tuesday. The ambiance was still nice and the service was fair. I certainly hope to be in the regular room for the future events next time!

Never knew it was located there but with the continuous flow of customers that came in and out, others did. If you arrive during their Lunch Special, I recommend doing it as you get an appetizer, entrée and a drink with your order. Certain items are excluded from this special but it is noted on the menu. I was luck to arrive during to lunch special which I ordered Papa a la Huancaina. This yellow, creamy sauce over potatoes had so much flavor and the right amount of heat that I was scrapping every drop sauce off the plate before handing it over. For my entree, I ordered the Linguini a la Huancaina w/ chicken. This overall dish was super delicious. The chicken is flatten when cooked and the pasta to Huancaina sauce portions are perfect for each bite. Ceviche was order by my co works order which I recommend everyone to try at least once at Peruvian restaurant. For someone who is not a fan of fish or certain seafood, Peruvian ceviche is made a certain way to mask that fishy/ seafood flavor. You get this acidic, yummy bite from lime juice and onions that are included. I do recommend bringing some kind of jacket or coverup because the inside of the restaurant was very nice but extremely cold. I saw many parties chose to sit outside after being sat inside due to the temperature. Also the bathroom location, there is a hallway near the bar you will need to walk down to get to it. Smells like fresh limes walking down the hallway and is very clean but can be a tad confusing looking for it generally.
