I was referred to Dr. Bartoli in the midst of an episode involving a herniated disc that was pinching a nerve and causing the worst pain (down my leg) I'd experienced in my entire life. I arrived at her office in so much pain I couldn't manage sitting on the bench in the waiting room and the manager kindly let me lie on a bed in an empty treatment room while I waited for the doctor. When the appointment started, Dr. Bartoli was phenomenal -- so caring and knowledgeable. She conducted a physical exam, quickly diagnosed the likely issue, outlined a care plan and made sure I understood my next steps (X-Ray, MRI and physical therapy). She never once victim-blamed (such as telling me my back issues were my own fault due to my body, work and exercise habits or otherwise) which is sadly very rare in any health provider, especially as a woman patient. I started physical therapy right away and once the imaging was done (within a couple of weeks) she took the time to walk me through them and explain what had likely happened to me -- nothing acute or dramatic -- just a lifetime of lumbar back issues catching up with me. The physical therapy practice she sent me to was phenomenal, and I later learned she has a strong connection there and sends many fortunate patients to them. Dr. Bartoli and my PT team proceeded to stay in good communication the whole time I was under their care, making sure my care plan evolved and stayed on point throughout the process, which I really appreciated. I was on the mend within weeks and fully healed/pain free in four months. This was one of the best overall care teams I've ever worked with for any health issue. They all refuse to take any credit, saying my recovery is down to me and my willingness to do the work. I have been so impressed and am truly grateful to have met Dr. Bartoli. I enthusiastically recommend her to everyone. read more

Ups...I did it again. I gave the center for health and healing a second chance and again...what an overrated place. BTW...J.L.'s review cracked me up. "In and out of the office with no fluff"...or..."she won't let u argue" which means the same as "She won't let u ask any questions". Yeah...sounds like a great doctor. It's quite amazing in what standard we live in when it comes to Dr. visits. If you consider a 2 minute screen of your back and leg muscles and then just prescribe some random physical therapy efficient...then we have sunk so low it's time to get out. This woman came in with an assistant and I felt like a ginny pig as she was showing or rather presenting her skills to this stranger in the room. After about two minutes she figured my hamstrings are too tight and it's pulling on my lower back...hence the back issue. So...muscle problem. The easiest answer a doctor an give without getting specific or really trying to get the cause of things. I also told her about pain in my shoulder but she mumbled something about arthritis as she was walking out. I'm 36. Again...easy answer for a doctor who just doesn't want to spend the time. The physical therapist of course gave me some random exercises without knowing the exact problem as it has not been established by the doctor. Of course...pain did not go away. After changing doctors, it turns out that I have several bulging disks and by isolating the specific one and targeting the treatment I was able to heal. To make things worse...if she would have examined my shoulder correctly she would have found type I shoulder separation which now turned into type II after some swimming...which according to her I could do. Thanks, doc. People...please!! Yes, she has a New York attitude and yes she is direct and what not...but I don't care about these things. What I care about is that she does her job right. Give me some specific advice...some more info I can't find out on the internet. Me and my health insurance is paying this woman plenty of money for a two minute visit for what?...to tell me my ham strings are too tight? Any personal trainer or Yoga teacher can tell u that. So...Mrs. Bartoli...If you happen to read this....your main focus should be the individual care of a patient...and when I mean individual I mean taking time to really figure out the root of the problem. If you would really examine each person thoroughly....than a lot of problems could be solved faster and...in my case...problems could have been avoided. You don't work in a factory...you are a doctor and your main focus should be helping your patients the best way possible. Every human is different and every problem is different. There are doctors out there that will spend the time to find the cause...trust me, they are out there...but she is not one of them. read more

Are New Yorkers rude or friendly? Depends who you ask, right? Think of Dr Bartolli the same way and you will understand why some people might not "get" her, because they can't deal with directness. I get a little chuckle because she is so awesome and refreshingly frank. But she's warm and caring, too. Dr Bartolli is no-nonsense, gets right to the point and doesn't waste any time. She is downright honest, really. I do not find her to be rude or dismissive at all, just incisive. I find that she includes me in the process of decisions. I like her willingness to explore and discuss all angles of the issue, that she is not afraid of or against alternative solutions, and her referrals (physical therapists and other types of body practitioners) are always totally rock solid and top notch. She recommends not whole practice groups but hand-picked, exceptional, specific people within the practices who she has observed and experienced and even worked with, first hand. Her last physical therapist referral totally kicks ass!! I've been going to Dr Bartolli for several years for various mechanical issues. Three out of four of these issues have been completely resolved, including a back and hip issue that I thought I was stuck with for life. I am confident that the fourth issue will get resolved as well. Many serious athletes go to Dr Bartolli and there is a reason why. Don't let the one star reviews below scare you. I limped into her office using a cane. For 6 years doctors had been telling me my severe back pain that shot down my right leg was just from Fibromyalgia and nothing could be done. Dr. Bartoli took one look at me and knew there was more going on than that. She fought my insurance company to get an MRI, which revealed two severely herniated disks in my lumbar. She treated them non surgically with epidurals and withing a year I was back in dance classes after YEARS of hobbling around with a cane. This woman literally gave me my life back. I haven't been able to see her in years because of insurance changes but I'm back on insurance she takes and making an appointment to see her right away to treat my current problem, degenerated disks. You were my doctor 10 years ago and I just wanted to thank you again for helping me with my neck issues.  I had a herniated disk on my upper neck and went to physical therapy who did training and massage, twice a week for 2 years and it never fixed it.  I then found you and you fixed my neck with acupuncture within a few months and instead of going twice a week, I just had to come to you once a month.  I just wanted to thank you again as it's a good thing I don't have to see you anymore because you fixed my issue, but want to let you know I'm still very thankful. read more

Went to her from a recommendation, someone she worked on, in moment of desperation, I liked the fact she was an osteopath, looking forward to some relief from my horrible knee , hip pain. Did not take my insurance CHARGED ME $380, for a 15 minute visit, with no manipulation or relief. Same service from an orthopedic who took my insurance. Told me to do PT, xray, PT is where you go when you have horrible knee pain I was told by her.... ice, keep taking your glucoseamin chondroidin ---- I never said I took this and I dont , took xray to rule out broken bone(insurance covered this) After a very brief, non helpful visit was told do PT and come back in 6 weeks. Found a real DO who is treating my knee and hip. read more

horrific doctor. she misdiagnosed a very serious condition, which led to my developing a disability. she then told my disability insurance that nothing was wrong with me, leaving me destitute after my disability insurance claim was denied. she told me she did this because she doesn't believe in disability - "it's just people being lazy." she said if i wanted she'd prescribe heavy painkillers and i needed to "get my ass back to work". this woman should have her license revoked. read more

I've never such a bad experience, it was a while ago and I can't forget it. Dr Bartoli never found what was wrong with me but was rude and she actually yelled at me over the clinic hallway. This is not a New York Attitude. this is just a non caring doctor. I went to see her for pain, but some how in the middle of treatment I broke my ankle. She treated me as if she never saw me before inspire of the fact she knew who I was. and than I keep seeing her for my hip issues but her clinical skills were as poor as her bedside manners. She blamed my pain on weak muscles without finding the underline cause - basically - as if I'm lazy. Treated me like a hypochondriac. Honestly - I was just scared of her which is totally ridiculous. I spent so much money on exams and therapy and only now, two years and a half later, thanks to another doctor I found out I have Hip Bursitis. read more

I had a terrible experience with Dr. Bartoli. Not only was she really difficult to deal with in person (disdainful, interrupts you, rushes out, etc), but she kind of seems incompetent. She has such a good reputation that I kept going but it became laughable towards the end. I will give just a few examples of the many crazy and random things she did. When I first went in, for foot and hip pain, I told her that a previous doctor had said the foot problem was a Morton's Neuroma. I gave her a copy of the xray that showed it. Five months later, when I had developed back, neck, and shoulder probs on top of everything else bec she was so baffled by what was going on, she said, as if she was having a giant insight, "I think what's going on with your foot might be a Morton's Neuroma." Brilliant. She kept insisting my pain was diffuse, even though it was not, There were several locations, but the pain itself was not diffuse, it was well defined. We would literally go back and forth on this. I went in with hip and foot pain, and quickly developed compensatory back, shoulder and neck pain because I was adjusting my gait due to the hip and the foot. She would just stare at my chart as if it was in a foreign language. Two other orthopedists and a neurologist that she sent me to all said the problem was mechanical, but she was insistent it was inflammation and maybe fibromyalgia. She put me on NSAIDs that gave me an ulcer but did nothing. Whenever I went in, she would have to be reminded of the entire situation all over again. Which, I get, doctors are busy and since she spends about 15 minutes with each patient, I am sure she sees a lot of them. But I was getting dramatically worse under her care, and it didn't seem to faze or bother her at all, especially bec she would interrupt me constantly and go off on random tangents. Once she suggested the problem might be a wheat allergy! which is insulting and hilarious, especially because I had been tested *at her clinic* for a wheat allergy six months previously and that was in my file, I am not sure how a wheat allergy would throw someone's back out but there you go, She also once, after the aforementioned staring, said, well you take X medicine and Y medicine, if you have changed them recently, that could be causing all of this. I said, those dosages haven't changed in 3 or 4 years. It was like she didn't even hear me, she then started explaining about how they could be the issue and I was like, I dont think Wellbutrin is giving me SCIATICA. I mean, how crazy is that??? I seriously sometimes wondered if she had just snuck in and put on a white coat and was totally fooling everyone. She would stare at my chart as though it was a foreign language. A few times I made diagrams for her because I thought, maybe she is kind of Aspbergery and can't take in verbal information, but they didn't seem to help. Luckily I did go to a great orthopedist who correctly diagnosed a labrus tear on my first visit and is treating me accordingly. I am also seeing a great rheumatologist who is helping me undo all of the muscle and tendon strain I developed as a result of limping around thinking Dr. Bartoli was going to help me. The whole thing was so extreme and I was in so much pain (at times I couldn't move or leave my house; for four or five weeks I could only walk two blocks without needing to rest) that it dragged on bec I couldnt face trying to find a new doctor. There are so many more stories I could tell but I think what is above is a pretty good indication of what you could be in for. I would hate for anyone else to go through what I did. read more

I had the exact same experience as M.H. Everything she says rings true for me. And it actually makes me a feel a lot better to hear someone else say it. I went to her for a long time (at least a couple of years) for lower back pain. Every time I went she only spent a few minutes with me. It was as if she didn't know anything about my pain even though I had been seeing her for years. She would get hostile when I asked questions about my treatment. She tried to force cortisone shots on me and when I asked questions about the side effects basically told me I should just be listening to what she says. She made me feel like the pain was all in my head even though I had an MRI that showed 4 serious things wrong w my back. I (just as MH) was getting progressively worse in her care. She kept sending me back to physical therapy even though after a year and a half it wasn't helping and actually making it worse. The last time I saw Bartoli she made me so upset that I never went back to her again. After that I started my own treatment regimen. I'm doing yoga again and I feel great. No thanks to Dr. Bartoli. She has no time, she doesn't care and she's one of the most insensitive doctors I've ever dealt with. read more

I've seen her for 3 separate issues over the years, and in each case she had a quick and accurate diagnosis (in one case I was seriously misdiagnosed by another physician), and wrote detailed prescriptions for physical therapy. Could not recommend her more highly. read more

I'm on the side of those who called her brusque & rude - I'd add unprofessional to the list. She gave me about 5 minutes during a follow up appointment in which I explained that I was still having the same issues. I tried to tell her that I felt like she was going too fast and that I had some questions for her but she interrupted me. Then she walked out of the room mid- sentence, saying something about writing another prescription for more physical therapy, and I waited for her to come back. She didn't. So I wandered around the hallway looking for her until I ran into a nurse. I told the nurse that I wasn't sure if my appointment was over or not, and she investigated, then came back and said the doctor was now with another patient. Go elsewhere. I was having bad knee pain, so I called to make an appointment and since she had a cancellation, they told me if I wanted to come in right away! They also told me that the doctors do not do knee surgery and they would refer me out if I needed any surgery. So, I ran down to 245 5th ave. and 28th street (2nd fl). The whole staff was helpful and courteous. Dr. Bartoli came to the waiting room and walked me to her office at exactly 11am (I barely sat down and she was already calling me!) She examined me, told me to change into a robe so she can do a thorough examination of my leg and knee and explained to me, with models, what was going on and what had to be done. I never felt nervous around her and I got a great sense of relief from her. She is not a kissey feely type of person, very professional and quick to the point. I'm baffled by any review that's less than 5 stars. I noticed one long review that mentions she was later diagnosed by a neurologist for a nureological disorder but my issues were physical and fell under Dr Bs area of expertise- she is excellent. I started seeing Dr Bartoli for neck, and back pain and another time for a hip/leg spasm. She immediately knew what spots to apply pressure to on each visit, indicating that she knew exactly what was wrong. She prescribed me a muscle relaxer that really helped my neck and even manipulated my hip/leg sockets to loosen up the problem and provided me with some instant relief. She did write an RX for physical therapy but the medication and manipulation exercises resolved the pain without the need for PT. Today I called her office bc my neck was injured and she called me after hours on my cell phone just to check in on me and make sure I was able to get an appointment. I'm a pretty fussy patient, so take it from me - she is top notch and very dedicated. Another plus is the office space is comfortable, modern and clean. The staff is nice too. If you have a choice in your network I highly recommend seeing Dr. Lisa Bartoli. read more

I will never ever set foot in Bartoli' s office ever again. I agree with PW. I appreciate directness, honesty and do not need my hand held or a pat on the back, and went to her knowing she is not touchy feely, but to be told, after 6 weeks of physical therapy at her behest, that we need to rule out a herniated disc, which is what I came in with from an ER MRI, is astounding in its lack of professionalism and shows how she was not paying attention to who she was treating. I thought it was a joke. She had obviously not looked at my chart or cared about being in the slightest bit aware of what my issues were. I expressed my dismay at this extremely serious oversight, not to say potential waste of time and resources, my insurance and co-pay for numerous MRIs, and wondered what on earth she thought I was in PT for for all those weeks? My last appointment with her was beyond curt and rude. Her hapless asst was taking notes from me before Bartoli came in, and then was unceremoniously shoved off the computer and wasn't even allowed to finish her notes on what I was telling her. Quite astounding. I was actually describing new symptoms which were, as it turned out, typical of my condition. When I started to remove my socks to show her the state my feet were in, she told me she didn't need to see my feet. I said I needed her to see them as I could no longer walk without severe pain and continued to remove my socks and she then proclaimed I had hammer toe and told me to see a podiatrist. I said I didn't see the point, as that seemed to be putting a band aid on a much bigger issue that we hadn't solved, and she curtly said that there were a lot of things we didn't see the point of that we had to do, as if I were a child at school. Thus not giving me the opportunity to discuss priorities. I also do not take kindly to my use of language being contradicted. I know what I am feeling and to be rudely told that 'unsteady on my feet' is actually 'just limping' is not what I call due care and attention. She cut me off in mid-sentence when I was explaining other symptoms I was experiencing (the ones her asst wasn't allowed to finish typing) and they were never addressed because she was in such a hurry to get out of the room, making my time with her about 10 minutes. I had at that visit not been able to walk normally for 10 months. I am tough and can withstand rudeness from people like her, I work in an industry where I put up with all sorts, but it doesn't mean I will ever come back for more to be treated like this. Unacceptable. I also take a dim view of the fact that I was waiting for a referral to a different neurologist after my last visit, which she appeared to have forgotten all about and I never got an answer from her despite several phone calls. So I left just being prescribed more PT, which hadn't worked since last May. I had not made one iota of improvement since being in her so-called care. The last straw was her asking me what the first neurologist said. I beg your pardon? I think the least my DO can do is to consult with other practitioners over my care and not ask me rather than reading the report from a specialist. Staggeringly bad care, rudeness and utter lack of professionalism. I had had 8 MRIs and was exactly where I was 11 months ago. An absolutely dire experience on the personal (which I can overlook) and professional (which I won't) fronts. I took myself to a new D.O. who sent me immediately to a great neurologist who diagnosed me in one visit, and I happen to have a rare neurological condition, the typical symptoms of which I described to her when she wouldn't listen to me. She dismissed my foot pain with a visit to a podiatrist and dismissed my constant falling over and unsteadiness by proscribing more PT, which turns out triggered really painful episodes of my at the time undiagnosed condition. I asked her what my options were if I didn't improve and she for the second time suggested a spinal cortisone shot, which I had grave reservations about, and rightly so. If you are reading this Dr Bartoli, perhaps next time a patient of yours shows no improvement after being in your care for 11 months, you may want to sit and listen to them. It might save one person reading this almost a year of excruciating pain. Shameful care, utterly shameful. read more

My experience with Dr Bartoli is quite positive. I was preparing to ride my 1st ever bike race at the age of 55. I had neck and shoulder problems, she made sure I was in shape and ready to go. The "race" was a stage of the Tour de France, the L' Etape de Tour. The overwhelming number of the 9,500 participants are in fact not racing, but merely just trying to finish. 7,200 did, including me. She is no nonsense, down to business. So, as for the 1 stars here, maybe that rubs some people the wrong way. read more

Great experience all around. The staff were courteous and managed to get me in to see Dr Bartoli within 24 hours, I was in the waiting room for no more than 2-3 minutes the day of the appointment, and the office was very nice (for what it's worth). A resident (named Dr Shah) gave me my initial examination. She was excellent - very thorough and careful to explain my MRI results and options for treatment. When Dr Bartoli joined us, it was more of the same. There was no rush, everything was carefully explained, and I felt as though everyone was genuinely interested in treating my pain and getting me back on my feet as soon as possible. read more

In contrast to reviewer M.H., I respect and like Dr. Bartoli and have found her very helpful. She can be abrupt on the first visit, but in subsequent visits, she was not. She understood my problems, and stuck with me through months-long PT, which fixed one problem, but not another. I have been seeing Dr Bartoli for several years off and on as the pain in my lower back has come back from things I had done. She never rushed me. I had to come in with my 2 month old and he started crying during the visit and she still was very kind with me. My only complaints are the appointment process. I had to wait a week and a half to see her when my back totally gave out on me. The other is waiting 30mins after my appointment time. I had to drive in to the city so it cost me a lot extra in parking. I have and would and would still recommend her. read more

I have consulted Dr. Bartoli for two different issues and have found her to be sharp, knowledgeable, focused, and pleasant. If you want someone to hug you, listen to you complain for hours and hand you tissues while you cry, then she is NOT your type of doctor. But, if you want someone who can diagnose your ailment, pinpoint the cause and prescribe the proper treatment, then head over to Dr. Bartoli. I had low back and knee issues that she cured with sound advice, some pain therapy and a fantastic regimen of physical therapy. BTW, the office staff is busy but efficient. I was referred to Dr. bartoli by another patient. Was surprised to see the negative reviews based upon my friends referral as he said she was great. The negative reviews should be ignored. Dr. Bartoli and the office were prompt, professional and courteous. I was seen at exactly my appointment time and Dr. Bartoli was caring, concerned, and most importantly comprehensive. She gave me several alternatives and truly explained the potential shoulder issues I am facing. I highly recommend the doctor and the office. read more

If I could have zero stars I would. I am a nutritionist with 35 years experience . On the suggestion of a client of mine i sent a close personal friend to Dr. Bartoli. My friend is elderly but she had been a nurse for the Mayo Clinic and a nurse practitioner for many years and has been a life long mentor to me often referring me to some of the most advanced body workers in the country. She was told the initial visit was 30 minutes. Dr.Bartoli after 15 minutes told her that she was already over the time limit. Dr. Bartoli as some of the other reviews stated was brusque, insensitive, cocky, and dismissive- these are my adjectives but I am going by what was relayed to me. Needless to say my friend was devastated by her behavior and visit as she is ill and needed some expert guidance which was not provided. I certainly will not refer anyone else to her ever again. read more

I'm in complete agreement with everything MH and TM have said. I went to see her as a semi-professional dancer and recreational runner who'd developed chronic knee pain. One of her first remarks to me was, "Oh, so I guess you won't be 'Dancing with the Stars' now, huh?" Umm, no, lady, that's not what I do, and maybe you should refrain from making snide comments to first-time patients. Her only solution for my injury was to send me to a ritzy health club for "physical therapy," with a group of obnoxious and inept personal trainers who seemed to put everyone through the exact same regimen regardless of their injuries. When I asked about my progress, these "trainers" were very elusive about when I could begin running & dancing again, suggesting I could always come by and work out on the club's elliptical machine (and of course pay a fee to do so). Since the health club charged a pretty high co-pay, I was anxious to make a quick recovery not just so I could begin running outside again (which I really missed), but for financial reasons as well. When I went for my follow-up visit a few weeks later, and asked Dr. Bartoli how my recovery was progressing, she simply said, "You're recovery's up to you -- if you're feeling better you'll know when you're ready to start being active again." Really. Glad I'm paying a hefty co-pay and that my insurance company's footing the rest of the bill for me to see Dr. Bartoli when, according to her, I can just decide for myself when I'm better. The final straw was when, during that same visit, I told her I'd just found out I was pregnant, and she said at the end of our appointment, "No running 'til after you're pregnant." I was completely crushed and dumbfounded... I thought exercise was recommended for pregnant women? -- But she brushed past me & said, "Well, you've gone his long without running, nine more months won't kill you... don't forget to schedule your next appointment with me on your way out." Are you kidding me? Luckily, I didn't follow her advice, and continued to run (albeit shorter distances and more easily) on the strong recommendation of my OB GYN, and I'm so glad I did. I feel much better now and am still running, occasionally I still suffer knee pain but I will NOT be going back to Dr. Bartoli, who I feel is little more than a scam artist quack out to make a fast buck. I had the same experience as the other patients; Dr. Bartoli was brusque and dismissive and her only comment was that I should be in physical therapy (which I had been doing for the past year and a half). She did not recommend any other treatments for my injury (back) and typically spent one minute examining me. She was so rude and uninterested that I stopped going to her office and sought other medical help. Her office staff, by contrast, was extremely polite and helpful. Go figure! read more

My experience was not as bad as MH's, but the story is familiar. She is occasionally quite brusque, a few times verging into rudeness; poor bedside manner. I always feel rushed here--and 15 minutes every 6 weeks is just not enough time to properly diagnose and treat. She often seems frustrated with me--not my medical issues--like I want to confuse her. Her solutions seem very cookie cutter--PT and NSAIDs for everything, and, as MH explained, "inflammation" is the be all end all for her. On a positive note, she has referred me to a PT and another specialist with whom I am pleased. Bottom line--if you have a choice you should look elsewhere. read more

Dr Bartoli is one of the best doctors around. She is extremely intelligent with her diagnosis's. I went to 3 doctors before her (one of whom was a doctor for NFL players) and she was the only one to diagnose me correctly. She knows her stuff - you are in and out of her office within minutes, there is no fluff with her. She tells you what is wrong, what to do, and how to fix it - and if you dont like her answer or solution, she wont let you argue. read more

That other reviewer must have had an unusual experience for Dr. Bartoli's practice - when I visit her office, the guys downstairs sing her praises when I sign in - and the other people waiting tell me things like "she's so dedicated" and one woman even told me she comes from another city to be treated by Dr. Bartoli. As for my own experience, she's highly professional, competent, productive - and I usually get a good laugh on top of that. I don't know where my right foot would be if not for Dr. Bartoli. I read these reviews and wonder which Dr. Bartoli I saw. Certainly not the one-star version here. I saw Dr. Bartoli at the suggestion of a knee guy who had done an excellent job of ruling out knee problems for me (and is one of the nicest docs I've ever seen). I've seen her about 5 times over several months to follow up on a hip/foot/ankle condition that was difficult to diagnosis. A podiatrist had urged me to undergo an expensive, experimental therapy that insurance wouldn't cover - Bartoli (my 2nd opinion) said it wasn't proven and she urged physical therapy first. So I did that, which was helpful. Finally, I had an MRI done on foot, which has revealed a problem Bartoli can't correct (I'd need surgery). She sent me to a foot surgeon. I'm getting a 2nd opinion on that now. But throughout these months I was treated very well by Dr. Bartoli. All docs rush patients; if I was prepared with any questions, she answered them. She was honest and concerned. The biggest problem with my course of treatment was the insurance company, which would routinely cut the number of allowed phys therapy sessions in half. This also frustrated Dr. Bartoli. I would go to her again, but I'd be prepared to ask questions as with any other doc. And btw her offices are nice and the staff very helpful. If you want Marcus Welby, or Dr. Kildare, you need a time machine. Everyone else in modern medicine is going to be brisk. I want medical competence, not personality, in my docs. read more

I really like Dr Bartoli, I have been going to her for years for various issues. Doctors are people and they have good and bad days just like we do.. unforturnately if your first experience catches them on a bad day.. understandably you are not going back.. Of all the times I have seen Dr B. she may have been a bit dismissive once but I knew her and had had positive experiences before so just chalked it up to a bad or stressful day. She has really helped me manage my back issues and I go to her for adjustments periodically which really help. People sometimes dont; realize when you have a back issue, there are limited things the doc can do, first is meds or shots for the pain and inflamation, then PT to get strength back ... if that is not working then the MRI and so on... I have been through the process so know and understand this..there is not much else she can do except diagnose and recommend treatment. I am not sure what others are looking for. Not sure what happened with the person who had the issues with the foot and exray but overall I think she is great and she woudl not be the treating doc for professional rugby if she did not know what she was doing:( read more

DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR. I am FURIOUS about how terrible Dr. Bartoli was. I have lived in New York for over ten years and I also appreciate directness. Dr. Bartoli is not direct. She's a bitch. Straight up. She did not listen to me, was rude, left before I could even ask any question and completely wrote the wrong information down on my report. I was so upset I asked the people at the desk to print out what she had written on my report. It was filled with incorrect information and non-sensical phrases which simply came from her typing while I was talking and she typed in whatever words she could catch instead of LISTENING to me. Rude, dismissive and didn't listen or allow me to ask questions. Again, I've lived in NY for ten years. I do not need to be coddled and I appreciate directness. This was not directness. This was ego - pure ego- and a Doctor who I think has a severe personality problem taking it out on her patients. DO NOT GO TO SEE THIS DOCTOR. read more
