I sent out 5 requests for quote and Tony was the first to come out to check things out. I received a quote from him the same day. His quote was not the lowest, but after comparing what each company said they would do and how they were going to do it, I decided to go with The Tree Surgeon. Tony and his crew came out after the ice on he ground had melted and the rains ceased. They got the job done quickly and professionally. Now my front yard is cleared of old debris from years of neglect by previous owners and I feel safer that the tree line is a little further away from my house and garage. Tony treats his customers like his friends and is willing to spend time talking to them and providing advice. I highly recommend The Tree Surgeon

Tony and his crew spent two days cleaning up my property and pruning large branches that were overhanging my home. They brought a chipper on-site and cleaned everything up before they left. Plus one other company who couldn't get me on the schedule anytime soon. Mills was very quick to respond and scheduled me in sooner than I was hoping. The price was the lowest quote I had gotten, and when the day came they were on time, if not a few minutes early, and did a great job. They cleaned up after themselves as well which was unexpected. Definitely got lucky finding them. If I need any tree services in the future I know where to go. Can't be the communication and price. Thanks again!

Close to a year ago, I had an eighty foot poplar tree fall on the roof of my house. I live in a…read morewooded area, so the acre lot upon which my house resides has all sorts of trees. After the tree impact, clearing out the problematic trees has obviously been a high priority. During the process, I worked with three companies. Of these, Smitty's Tree Service was, by far, the best. The two trees that he took down for me were the most problematic and complicated of any on my property--big, few limbs to work with, and very close to the house. Tony's service was, by far, the most professional, and ironically, also the least expensive of any other company I'd worked with. He took down the problematic trees swiftly and cleanly--felling them in exactly the direction and at exactly the place he said he would. Communication is great. Prices simply cannot be beat (he handled the two hardest trees for a fraction of the price that others had quoted for simply ONE tree). He is insured and has a catalog of great references. If you need tree work done in Front Royal, Linden, or elsewhere in Northern Virginia, I cannot recommend anyone higher than Smitty's Tree Service.

I had a couple of companies come out to see if they could be saved, and both said no, the trees could be stood back up but the roots were too damaged and they would die. So we decided to have them removed. I sent an email to the Davey Tree folks through their website and I got a call a few hours later. I explained the situation to the nice lady who called and she said Cameron would come out and take a look around 12:30 that day. Well, 12:30 arrived and so did Cameron. We talked over the situation for a bit and Cameron gave me a proposal to remove the trees and grind the stumps- and the price seemed right. So far, I've got a good impression of the company from the lady who called and Cameron. I sign the proposal and Cameron reaches out and says they can do the job the next day at noon. The next day, right at noon, Mark (A++++ guy) arrives and tells me it will take him about 2.5 hours to get the work done. He does a fantastic job, really cleans up the work area very well- Mark is extremely meticulous, professional, and he is a hard-working guy who did the job by himself. The stumps were too wet to grind that day so Cameron told me someone would come on Saturday around noon. Sure enough, Saturday at noon Mark arrives again- I'm pretty happy to see him because I know the job is getting done right. Within an hour or so, Mark is done, the stumps are gone and everything is great. I see other people have had bad experiences they've shared, but I can't think of one thing this company did that wasn't great in my experience. From answering the email through the website, to getting me a proposal right away, showing up on time every time, and doing a great job. This could not have gone any better. Mark is an absolute gem, just a great guy. Cameron, who was the first person to come and give me the proposal did a terrific job as well. Thank you all!
