They also kept trying to upsell me on veneers that I didn't need (and weren't covered by insurance) and kept saying braces wouldn't work for me (which my new dentist confirmed would do just fine). From the moment I arrived the front staff was nasty and very short patience. I have been in the back with my mother to confirm her complaints of feeling dismissed and the dentist's attitude felt dismissive and unprofessional. Instead of making my mother feel comfortable, they come across as snobbish and uninterested in our concerns and questions. When I asked questions about her treatment plan, the responses were short and condescending, as if her understanding didn't matter. Many residents in my mother's senior building have the same complaint. This office does not take the time to go over care plans and pricing. The dentures they make there are of poor quality and God forbid that they do not fit correctly, the staff will curse you out for asking for an adjustment. Many of my mom's friends in her apartment that have gone there state that they were in tears and nervous after going there because they felt rushed and unable to communicate their wants and needs. Why do they have to walk around with horse teeth dentures or sore in there mouth from poor fitting dentures because the office staff are pathetic. The office never answers the phone. The answering service has even said that they will not answer the phone and cannot really assist other than to take messages. I feel sorry for anyone with a disability or someone who is unable to advocate for themselves. When the day of my appointment came, the staff were really nice. I had my X-rays done and explained everything I wanted, including a filling and possible future procedures. After that, I was told to sit and wait to be called. I was then taken to an office where someone informed me that they do not work with my type of insurance. I asked why, considering I had already scanned and submitted my insurance information before coming in. She told me I would still have to pay $150 for the visit. I asked what exactly they had done for me to justify that amount, especially since this seemed like their negligence. She replied that it was for the scan. I asked for a copy of the scanned documents, but they could not provide them. I sat there feeling very frustrated. I explained to the woman that I only had $50 on me at the time, and I paid that amount even though I honestly felt robbed.
