It is a great family owned business that they are passionate about. *Disclaimer* this IS a cut your own tree place. That means going out into the fields, finding your tree, cutting it, and bringing it back to the lot. For me, that is part of the experience, and they DO help you by shaking it, netting it, and will assist getting it on/in your car if needed. If you're down with this keep reading! From the moment you arrive you are greeted by the helpful owner and a trusty sweet old black lab. There is a small building with free popcorn and hot chocolate. They provide saws or you can bring your own. There are a huge selection of trees from small to super tall. They have several different types of trees as well. The grounds are beautiful and well maintained. I found out last year that dogs are welcome leashed, as long as they are well behaved so this year I brought my husky. As mentioned above you cut your tree and carry it back to the stand where they get it ready for you. They do provide twine for tying it to your car as well. Each year a free dated ornament is given to you upon checkout, which I find charming. Sometimes they even have homemade wreaths for sale. Their prices are SUPER reasonable, far more than that tree lot with trees that have been cut for months and wont last long.

It's a drive for us, but it was worth it! The workers were very helpful and friendly. The selection of trees were great. We were looking for a Canaan Fir. The selection was slim to cut your own down in tbe section we were looking in. However, they had alot of pre cut Canaan Fir trees to choose from. It was a hard decision since so many looked great! We had purchased one of their tree stands and they put it on the tree for us! They loaded it in our trunk. When we got home we unloaded it and brought it right into our living room and set it right up! It is perfect! The prices were good. We love our tree!

He told us they weren't open yet (in a not friendly way) and I apologized saying I thought it was 10am based off google. He told me it was noon. He then got more rude and told me he doesn't have a website (I didn't say he did) and maybe I should have called the number listed where he has a message stating the hours. He continued to be surly and rude. Remember we were only 20 minutes early ... he could have offered to let us park in his large lot and wait.. but nope.. we had to go. We decided to still buy a tree bc we were on a time limit ... so we pulled out and parked on a side street for 15 minutes. Upon arrival my husband greeted him nicely. You won't find any chopped up aluminum, wood, or any other foreign items in there...just pure mulch. It is the finest shredded mulch we've ever used and seemed to spread over more area than the regular stuff. Ryan has always taken care of us and is very reliable on the delivery side too. Called him late in the week thinking I probably wouldn't get it by the weekend, but 2 hours later I was spreading mulch. Excellent service you just don't find much these days. It was a busy year for real trees, so they didn't have a tree the size we needed for self cut. They had a great selection inside as well though and we were able to find the perfect tree. They also had an adorable gift shop. Both of my boys were able to pick out an ornament they liked for us to purchase. The trees were well priced and the staff went above and beyond to help.

They have free peanuts and candy canes, so make sure you stock up for your tractor ride through the fields to get to your destination. The staff are friendly and there to answer any questions you may have. Try the apple cider - it's Devine! And be on the lookout for you bargain hunters like me. Every now and then you'll find a "discount tree" that's around $10-$15 cause it had a random spot missing or something of that sort. (Nothing that a wall can't hide!)

Once finished he was able to wrap it up and help me get it secured to drive home. However, could only "help" becuse if he did it himself he is liable if anything happens. Overall he did everything he could to make the experience positive and it felt I had a lot of options for such a quaint place.
