I had a blowout scheduled for 11:30. I arrived at 11:25 and was told my stylist was finishing up…read moreand would be with me shortly. I waited until 12:00 to be seen. Only at 11:50 was I told "I'm so sorry for the wait, we had a "mishap" earlier this morning so we'll give you 50%." I said well at this point I'll have to change to a dry style and the receptionist said, "oh are you sure?" and I replied, "well, I don't have time for a full service blowout at this point." Then the dry style is scheduled for 30 minutes. I was in the chair for 10 minutes!! I asked for a Mai Tai and loose waves. The stylist gave me tight curls?! and the whole time she styled me, she was complaining about the beeping noise issue they're having and the 2 TVs that aren't working. I realize she probably felt awkward about the situation but customer service at this point??? As I was checking out the stylist said, "see it worked out that you just did a dry style instead of a wash, because your hair has the right amount of dirty to hold that curl. so this all worked out for the best!" 1. my hair actually was clean, as I washed it this morning (even thought I wanted a wash from them, I didn't want a someone to have wash my really dirty hair). 2. And most importantly, it didn't work out for the best, because as the customer I was expecting one service a wash and blow out and didnt get to receive it. I can do a dry style at home for free, which is why I wanted the blow out. customers are held to a cancellation and late policy, and it would have been ideal to have been notified of the lateness so that I could have given the choice to re-schedule, or have been told the truth when I walked in that you were guys were actually 30 minutes behind, not "be with you shortly.

My first couple visits went well enough, but my last visit my hair didn't turn out at all how I was imagining. I went in asking for an ashy blonde ombre with some layers and came out with a more yellow toned (see photo) balayage with no layers. I did go back and have the stylist add some layers, which she did at no cost. I'm most disappointed in the color, especially because I feel I was quite clear that I wanted an ashy blonde. I didn't mention the dissatisfaction with my color because 1. I didn't want to get it processed again so soon and 2. Because I was a bit wary of how it would turn out since what I asked for wasn't done the first time. I'm not saying I'd never go here again, but if you're looking for something a bit more edgy/different, there are probably better places to go. Or, before you book an appointment, make sure you schedule it with a stylist who is skilled in specifically what you want done. There are many here to choose from.

Explaining the process and answering any questions and concerns during the washing, solution treatment, cutting, etc. and seeing the results as they were happening was very nice. The atmosphere of her salon is warm welcoming and Emily will be me and my kids permanent hair stylist. God is good, thank you Jesus for linking us up together and you will not be disappointed in her as your hair stylist too! Oh and in case you were wondering what service I received, I was growing my hair out for a few years and I got tired of my hair curling every day after long distance running (been running 11+ years) sweat, so Emily provided permanent hair straightening, a blow out, dead/split end cutting, and layering. The results are amazing, and even the very next day I went for a run, sweated like crazy, but when I went inside, I let my hair naturally dry and it went back to being straight.. No washing, conditioning, blow drying, or flat iron needed. Emily also provided a free after care kit with shampoo, conditioner, and detangler!

My expectations for the color were low so when my finished hair came out black, I wasn't too surprised. That's not necessarily where my issue lies though. Upon the initial consultation over the phone, I made it clear that my hair had a long history when it came to its color, which was why I was requesting a color correction and an all-over dye job. We both agreed to this and discussed the price ($300) which I agreed to. When I arrived, it was clear that Emily was already backed up, to the point that she had me leave and explore the mall for an extra 30 minutes so she could finish up and she STILL wasn't ready. When I finally got in her chair, she began speaking to me as if she had no idea what she was going to do with my hair, as if we hadn't discussed it in detail on the phone. Long story short, she put color remover in my hair and didn't even let it sit for 10 minutes before saying it was "good enough" and rinsing my hair, only for it to look the same as before. Remember, she charged me $300 for this. She also spent the majority of my appointment talking on the phone about her new trashy "TV show" that she's "producing". Then, when she ran an hour over doing my hair into the next girl's appointment, she made it a point to say that it was my fault and that she didn't know she was going to have to correct my color (that is literally the service I booked for). That being said, the color isn't horrible, though it's not what I asked for. Just know that the customer service will be trash and you'll be charged way more than what her work deserves.

I sat in the waiting area for the entire duration of what was supposed to be my booking time. Eden never came out to provide the service that I was booked for. I went back to the front desk and told them that I was leaving because I had to be somewhere and that I was expecting to be done in the allotted time for my appointment. She said "oh she never came out and got you" and I said no that's why I'm leaving. Needless to say this was not a good first experience and I was very disappointed.
