I initially went alone, knew no one and had no (to very minimal) experience in any boxing or circuit training style. So it was intimidating, it being smaller than what I'm use to I wanted to still check it out. I expressed that upfront and GFIT stated it's for all levels and to not worry as the coaches will help me along the way and they 100% did!! As a beginner I felt comfortable coming back. I think I've come pretty far now since I started with the help of the coaches. I've noticed significant improvements in my technique since joining. I attend alot of Coach Paul's classes because it's most convenient with my time and he truly is AMAZING!! I enjoy his classes a lot. I've tried Coach Mike's too and his is great as well. I think my favorite part is pairing up with others from the class because it forces you to socialize with others who have similar goals as you. This place has quickly become somewhere I can go to let out some steam, somewhere I can go to make friends and somewhere where the Coaches truly want you to succeed. The culture is welcoming, supportive, and encouraging; EJ is easy to relate to and while he isn't my trainer or coach, I feel safe working out there because he still keeps an eye out for everyone there. I've observed EJ with a number of his clients, and it's easy to see that he genuinely cares about what he does and who he is working with. He seems to be able to get the best out of clients of all ages--both younger athletes looking to "improve their game" and those of us who are young at heart who are trying to get back in shape or just maintain. It's not overcrowded, there's room to actually train, and you're not fighting for equipment like you do at commercial gyms. What I love most is that they literally have everything: powerlifting, Olympic weightlifting, bodybuilding, CrossFit-style training, boxing, you name it. No matter what type of training you're into, this gym has the equipment and the space to support it. Coming from a commercial gym where it was always packed, limited machines, and chaotic, this place was a breath of fresh air. The vibe here is different. Everyone is welcoming, friendly, and actually there to work. Another huge plus: this gym is always open even on holidays. Hours might be a little shorter on a holiday, but they're still open, which means you can always get your workout in. That alone says a lot about how much they care about their members.
