We sat inside in the first room, right next to the main counter. First things first, the service here is outstanding. The staff here will do anything to make you happy. We were immediately greeted, seated and brought coffees - exactly what you want on a Sunday morning. What is something you don't want on a Sunday morning? The top 40 pop songs being played WAH-AY too loudly. Like, I love Calvin Harris... but not with my smashed avo. But maybe I am just showing my age? I have heard a lot about the hotcakes from Maddox but decided to take the (slightly) healthier option of salmon, avocado and house-made ricotta on whole grain bread. It was outSTANDINGLY presented. Picture perfect for your foodie instagram post. We also ordered a Bloody Mary (the hunt continues for Melbourne's best Bloody Mary) and as it was placed in front of us, the server said "this is the first Bloody Mary I've ever made". That's kinda like a chef saying "this is the first dish I've ever cooked". It doesn't immediately instil you with confidence. Thankfully it wasn't too bad and it was nice to see the server asking a lot of questions to ensure his next Bloody Mary was perfect. All-in-all this is an A-OK place for brunch. The food is beautiful and the service is spot on, just know that you'll be getting a side of Rihanna with your eggs.

The presentation was beautiful with lots of flowers and I hear the menu for serving the hotcakes is constantly changed up. The girls working were lovely and chatty, which I appreciated considering I was on my own. Sitting in the front window meant I could watch the goings by on Sydney Road while I enjoyed my meal.

Well, wandering around Northcote I found this quaint little café. The service was amazing, and they certainly made a pretty awesome pot of tea as well. The atmosphere of this place is also pretty great as well. It is definitely some place that I would recommend checking out.

The food looked amazing however we were just there for coffee and to play abit of skipbo! Staff were lovely, well treated and will return. So, I was stoked to discover this place only five minutes walk from my house! Unfortunately, this positive did not last when I actually used the machines. I spread my load across THREE dryers and still had to put them through 2 cycles each (total 32 minutes) - ending up spending $12 to do my drying -- and the clothes STILL came out damp! I ended up heading up to a different laundromat out of frustration and finishing the job there. Not efficient, not good value for money, just subpar in every sense of the word.
