Barney's Barber shop has been around for years. It's original premises used to be up some stairs just a few doors away from where it is now. The new shop looks brilliant and is much more spacious, although the epic collection of foreign notes that used to dawn the walls in front of the mirrors has gone, which is a pity because it always gave me something to look like whilst getting my 'bap chopped'. The staff have been the same for years, and know their locals well. My dad would get his hair cut here and was always welcomed like an old friend by Barney or any of his staff. Their prices are quite reasonable as well. Just like a lot of these barbers in North Belfast, the service they offer is very basic, but that's because that's all they need to offer for their locals so why change. read more
