Love a good Barnes and Noble. The smell of new books and coffee. Cannot be beat! I fear one day the kids won't know what a bookstore is just like a movie store (RIP Blockbuster). They usually have any book you would want and if they don't, I bet they can order it. They typically have sales on their items and the other things might be a little overpriced, but they have to compete! We went there in this specific day because of a free Lego build. We hung out there and put it together. It was fun. read more

Lovely bookstore in a very nice shopping center. This was our first time stopping at this B&N and it was such a nice experience. It is a very large, spacious store with not only books but a music section, kid and toy area, and cafe. They had a big sale today with the whole store at 25% off but they had lots of items stocked, labeled, and organized and the staff was helpful and worked fast to make the lines move in a timely manner. I popped in to pick up a new release from a fave author! It was displayed right out front! Easy to find. Huge selection. This has been the B&N I've frequented most over the years. They had a big hardback sale going on, making prices better than retail. Cashier was friendly. I'll be back! read more

What can one say about the global book giant, Barnes & Noble. We all know these stores and thankfully most are the same. Large displays and selections, staffed by fellow book nerds, and it looks and smells so delightfully upscale. Prices are high, but not unreasonably so, and there are often sales, discounts, and clearances. One thing's for certain, you can easily walk in and walk out poorer but with new book friends and accessories. read more

I attended book club at a locally owned bookstore. But that bookstore did not have the book we're reading for book club and that local bookstore did not have the titles that I was looking for. So I caved and went to the closest Barnes and Noble location. Other people are correct, it does have a lot of gift shop items now. But it also had the books that I was looking for and for that I was thankful. And the book we're reading for book club was on sale. read more

The middle aged lady with short hair at the service desk was absolutely SO rude. I just asked about a new book coming out and if I could preorder it. instead of being nice and polite, she said "umm you're a little late for that. don't ya think? we stopped selling preorders yesterday" I said okay, thanks & proceeded to walk away & she continued "yeah you're just a little late but I guess you could come to the release party we MIGHT have a copy for you, but don't bet on it" I just think as a reader community you would think people would be nice to each other but no, this lady was absolutely SO rude and hateful. i've never had a bad encounter here but this one encounter makes me never want to come back to this B&N Sincerely, A reader that just wanted a nice person to talk to :( read more

As a kid this was my favorite store to go to other than the comic book store, however, with the invention of Amazon and the internet (yeah, I'm old...) I don't see the point. Of course I enjoy going into the store and the atmosphere, but as overpriced as they are I have no idea why people are still shopping at this brick and mortar store. The appeal is still there, however, I prefer saving the extra cash. The coffee shop is nice, and they serve Starbucks coffee, however, I was told I couldn't use my Starbucks card to get points. So, I am still failing to see why I wouldn't save money by ordering online, head to Starbucks and get points for free drinks instead of coming here. All in all, it's okay but a dated concept. read more

This Barnes & Noble is by far my favorite go-to bookstore. They have a wide range selection of books! From learning about dinosaurs to theoretical physics! The staff has been very friendly from my experience(s). The Starbucks in this store is just the cherry on top! Although you can't use any form of coupon other than the Barnes & Noble Membership (from my knowledge although I may be wrong) it is still a nice bonus for sitting down with a beverage, snack, or both, and reading a good book! A con to this store is that most of the time there's only one cashier (near the entrance of the store), so the line can move slowly at times. And the restrooms could be cleaned up a bit more. But otherwise this store is amazing! read more

For all the youngsters out there, Barnes and Noble is a bookstore. Also, for all the youngsters out there, books are ebooks made out of paper. Back in the day, Borders was a cool place to hang out - they're mostly gone now, but sometimes I like to stop in at the Barnes and Noble and reminisce. I rarely buy books here, but it is a cool place to get a coffee and hang out. Expect to pay higher prices than you would online - yet, B&N provides an experience that Amazon can't match. One thing I will occasionally buy is a magazine. I like to buy the annual college football magazines that preview the upcoming season. B&N always has a full collection with lots of options. My only complaint is that they're sometimes in pretty poor shape - I swung by the other day to get "Phil Steele's College Football Preview" and their only two copies were pretty beat up. In closing, I still enjoy stopping at Barnes and Noble from time to time. It's a great place to spend a lazy afternoon reading and relaxing. read more

This place is turning into less of a bookstore and more of a random gift shop (a la Hastings). Not a bad thing, but definitely not the way it was in the good old days. This store always seems to be picked up and tidy, with a ton of clearance items to look through. I don't like that they COULD have 8 or so titles my husband has worked on in the store, but I guess if paper books are not selling they need to pick and choose. I've always enjoyed visiting this store, mainly to stock up on magazines with great movie covers... It's right across from the mall, and the only problem is getting there, because it's almost always a pain dealing with traffic along 71st. There's a couple of different options to get in, so it's never a huge issue if you know your way around. The stores are all laid out the same, so you've seen one, you've seen 'em all. I swear, I could just sit in one of these places all day if I had the time. Cashiers are courteous and polite, and if you ever need help, there are plenty of people around to answer questions. They are fairly pricey in the DVD department....though, I never have shopped here to get DVDs..... Check it out....it's worth your time. read more

My objective was to find some books for my visiting granddaughters. This store exceeded all expectations. Not only did I find an extensive children's book collection, but educational toys. Banes and Noble stores will still not match their own online prices. Just went to this particular stare and clerk was really rude then just pushed me to a manager when I asked simply if they match the price off their website. Then the manager gave me some big spiel about how when you walk in, you pay for customer services, etc, etc. So I have to pay to have someone be rude to me and act like I'm ignorant for not knowing they don't price match? I was standing their book in hand and lost a customer over 10$. She offered to order it site to home for me, and said I could have my book in 5 days. If I am going to just order it online i'll just get it from another place like Amazon who is faster, (even still, cheaper). I guess I won't be shopping there in the future. They selection is bad, almost can never find books their even with "help" from their staff, and not very competitive on prices. I'll have to be in dire need of a paper back that I can't find online in a digital format to shop here again. Wont happen. read more

Great bookstore. I always find something to buy here. Lots of books..every magazine you can think of..lots of DVDs and cds and even vinyl. They have toys and lots of markdown books. The treats and drinks in the cafe area are always fresh and tasty..i recommend this store. read more

Bookstores are a place where people can go to enjoy the finer things of life. TV and computer games can be fun for a while and momentarily entertaining, but what I love about Barnes & Noble is that the atmosphere and the smell of the freshly pressed books draw me in and welcome me into the world of many generations of intellectual genius. Being here reminds me of being at home by a cozy fire on the snow covered winter afternoon feeling strangely connected to JRR Tolkien or Alexandre Dumas as they fiercely wrote their masterpieces. I love how their hospitality at Barnes & Noble allows for people to come and sit and drink a venti beverage crafted by the inviting baristas.
