The guy making the sandwiches followed appropriate hygiene methods. Very clean. I watched him the entire time I was there. Things were so weirdly chaotic for the employee. As far as I know, it is the oldest bookstore in Tulsa. :) There's something for everyone here, no matter what you believe or where you're coming from. The book selection is super eclectic. Lots of spiritual titles, but also plenty of stuff that's just interesting and off the beaten path. I always grab some incense while I'm here. Kind of a ritual at this point. If you like weird and wonderful little bookstores, you'll love this place.

This space is a nook of older and first edition books, but not a great spot to find newer used reads. Most of the books are about Oklahoma and Native Americans. There are some smaller sections of science fiction, literature & classic children's books. Inside is well organized but you still feel like an explorer. I'm going to go back as Belle and find the rose behind a book.

I have really mixed feelings about this bookstore…read more... On one hand there's a lot of rare books that I've never seen at other used bookstores, even in much larger cities. The guy that owns the place is pretty nice and seems to know the business. I also love giving my business to locally owned used bookstores. On the other hand a lot (if not most) of the books are WAY WAY WAY overpriced. And I'm not talking about the rare first edition stuff. I'm talking about just run of the mill crap you find in any used bookstore. You know, stuff that anywhere else might cost $2-$4 would cost $10-$15 at Oak Tree. So, I don't know.... I would only recommend this place if you're a collector of rare and/or first edition books, or if there's some book you absolutely have to have but can't find it anywhere else. I only wish this place were cheaper, because, as I said, I like supporting local businesses, but it's just too expensive for the average reader....

I stopped in because I'm traveling and knew they would have a place to sit and relax while I sent out a few emails. I bought a drink and a snack and went over to plug in and do a little work. This is the largest used book store I've ever seen. The hard back books are in one section, with…read moremany of the titles in paperback in another location. Authors are alphabetical as are the titles of their books. It just couldn't be easier to find exactly what you need.
