Books-A-Million has a long history going all the way back to 1917 in Florence, Alabama, when 14 year old Clyde W. Anderson began a news stand business to support his family after the death of his father. From these humble beginnings Clyde's son, Charles C. Anderson expanded the books store left to him by his father into a chain of stores. Today they are the second largest chain of book stores in the U.S. operating close to 300 stores in more than 30 state. Books-A-Million is bright and inviting. They have a large selection of books from classics to the latest bestseller and periodicals but they also sell games, greeting cards, toys, T-shirts, collectibles, candy, house hold goods, collectibles, and more. I especially love their Florida section. This is the kind of store where it is easy to find a gift for that hard to shop for person. I have purchased a lot of presents here through the years as well as the latest beach book. I always discover something unique whenever I stop in. You can order books online but there is something so satisfying about going into a bookstore and holding the books in your hands as you make your decision. That is why this is always a top stop in the mall for me.

They have some cool speakers that you can fill with water to watch the water dance to items for your car that can help charge your phone while adding some flare to your dashboard! They have a huge candy section and there are some real interesting choices to pick such as freeze-dried candy and then candy that has taki seasoning on it, such as the new skittles gummies! I also like that they always have some holiday centered toys and items that can help get you in the spirit of the holiday that may be coming up! Best of all is the discount on the items once the holiday has passed! Most things are reasonably priced and comparable to other stores that sell the same kind of merch but their sales are the best time to shop because they do have great discounts. Every time I have been here the employees have always been super nice and willing to help you however they can. The books are used and very inexpensive, often having discounts on top of the low prices (like $1 per book). You can also drop off your used books here for them to sell. It's run by volunteers, and they raise money such as the library's bookmobile for outreach to underserved communities in Boca Raton, the AWE Early Literacy Stations in both the downtown Boca Raton Public Library and the Spanish River Library, and the award-winning Storywalk trails at public parks, as well as other things. Parking in sawgrass mall is not easy to find a parking space. Primark sells a lot but of Disney items here. Waiting in line to pay is pretty long.
