Right as you walk in, there's a cozy café tucked to the left with some fun seasonal drinks. Since it was April (now May as I'm writing this), they had a spring menu. I got the Peep Mallow Latte (so good!). I love Peeps, so the moment I saw it on the board, I ditched my lemonade plans without hesitation. The store also had quirky bookmarks, a few signed copies of books (always a cool touch), and a discount section full of hidden gems. We didn't end up buying anything this time but it was still such a lovely place to wander and frolic through.

We stopped by the bookstore before heading back to LA to buy some Syracuse gear after my daughter's…read moregraduation. My lady bug had a $50 gift card that clearly stated it never expires. Unfortunately, when we got to the cashier, we were told the gift card could no longer be used because the store is now under different ownership. The cashier, who also happened to be the manager, was unwilling to help resolve the situation. She offered a 10% discount, which was not helpful since we already had a coupon. What was most disappointing was being told to contact the gift card company and "use the new card next time." My daughter just graduated and we are returning to Los Angeles -- when exactly would "next time" be? This experience left a very negative impression during what should have been a special graduation weekend memory. I would appreciate if someone from management or customer service could contact me regarding this issue.

The owner is extremely knowledgeable and can answer almost anything you have a question for.
