Cheaped out on ingredients at the Starbucks. Dragonfruit was way watered down, caramel frap had a drizzle of caramel on the top, nothing down the sides. So happy I got to drink frozen milk. For the cost of these items, they need to be better than this. read more

The cafe and bathrooms are dirty so I stay away, and the staff push so hard to buy a membership it makes me avoid going to the register and just try and find the book at the library. And the music section isn't great. And they don't have the signs throughout the fiction shelves denoting $5 classics so you can find them easily. And I'm sure it's just that the staff lately are new, but the ones I talked to didn't know anything about what was where. Other than that it's a fun place to spend a few hours. read more

They do not seem to want to do business. I k ow this is the world of the Corona virus however there hours of operation are only 10 Am to 5PM. I will never be able to go in there as I myself get off at 5. I'm pretty sure they they are not cleaning at this time as the parking lot is totally empty. I tried to goin this location at 6:00 Pm on Presidents' Day. I was met at the store saying we're closing early. I don't want to order online as I like to see books before I purchase. So I will just to Books-A-Million. They are open to 10 PM. And besides BAM gives discounts on LEGO with their club. BAndN does not. read more

Oh noooooo! A chaaaaaain!! The skinny: Really beautiful, grand bookstore with a ton of options, a full magazine section, really cool specials and unique book collections/collector's editions. They've also got a surprisingly good collection of board games and specialty clothing. My favorite perk? A coffee shop :) a lot of book stores have them now, but I really like this one. A pick me up and a place to sit down and enjoy that book really makes the modern book store experience. This one even has an outdoor patio portion. On the down side, it's worth mentioning that this is the most expensive way to buy a book (a brand-new, new-release from an honest to goodness book store). And, even at a store as thoroughly stocked as this one, it's always possible they won't have that specific thing you came in looking for. Not done reading? There's more! Let's tackle this - I love small, mom'n'pop, used book stores. I love those classic books, the collectible books, the old dog-eared books that have been loved almost to pieces. BUT, I go to those stores when I'm not looking for something specific or something new. When it comes down to it, when I'm shopping for a book, I usually have something specific in mind, and it's usually a new book. My first stop is, honestly, Amazon. So what does this store offer the online shopping doesn't? 1. Try it before you buy it. Flip through some pages, heft that book, see if it's everything you hoped :) 2. Instant gratification. No waiting for shipping, you can grab it off a shelf, buy it, then bury your nose in it over a cup of coffee as long as your heart desires and your schedule allows. 3. Really cool exclusive collectibles and Collector's Editions. The danger with online shopping is that you're not likely to find something you *weren't* looking for, not so with a brick'n'mortar! My last trip in here I found a copy of Dune with gilded gold pages and a swanky faux-leather cover. Seriously awesome find! So, those are the wins for me, in all their word-wall detail. read more

Walked in today and was excited to get a coffee before looking around for a new book. The barista was being extremely rude and dismissive. I am surprised Barnes and Noble hasn't been Yelped yet! This is the biggest bookstore in Little Rock. Little Rock is big enough to have more bookstores. Borders would do well here too. Of course, I like independent book sellers too but this B&N is a major hang out for folks. I would give this B&N 3.5 stars. Prices for music and movies are WAY OVERPRICED. Drive a few more blocks to Best Buy or Walmart or about 1.5 miles to Target to get your music and movie fix. B&N will rob you blind in that section. The coffee shop area is a Starbucks, however, they don't take Starbucks gift cards. BUMMER. and why is this a problem??? Little Rock doesn't have many Starbucks. Good selection of books and magazines. I could spend several hours each time I go in this place just browsing. Of course, no matter what bookstore I go into, they need more seating for folks to read and visit with one another. And my wish upon wishes, have a shelf or two devoted to what reading clubs in the area are reading. read more

I walked in and asked Barbie if she could help me. She turned around and very rudely with a loud tone practically yelled "I'm busy" even though she wasn't with a customer. Very helpful staff but prices are too high. I have bought books from them which had just come out and they were marked at least 40% higher as compared to Sam's club. This is the only big bookstore in Little Rock so I end up going here more often than I would have otherwise. I buy mosf of my reading material online anyway. read more

First time to order a book that was just released. I got an email saying it was in and could be picked up from the 10th-15 so i went on the 13th. I waited in line for 1 checker behind 11 other customers (I counted) only to be told it was not at the front desk yet and go to the customer service desk. She said I should go there, get the book and then I would have to return to the front desk to pay. Now there were even more customers in line for the one clerk. There was no one at the desk so I had to go back to the front and ask for someone. A very nice young man finally came to the desk, looked up my order and said yes, the book was in the store but boxes had not been unpacked. Very poor customer relations. They never should have sent an email saying my order was ready for pick up when it was not. The young man apologized, but that doesn't change the fact that I spent about an hour trying to pick up a book to no avail. read more

I went into this store immediately after they opened this past Saturday morning. I had gone online and reserved books for my daughter's required school summer reading. I chose B&N because the advertised price on their website for one of the books was less than Amazon. I don't live in Little Rock so some effort and expense were required to go to the store. When I entered the store I asked where I needed to go to purchase the books I reserved. The clerk never made eye contact with me and asked me my last name. I told him, and while he was retrieving the books, I asked (assuming it was just a formality) whether they honor their website's pricing. The not-so-friendly-clerk curtly said, "No!" I, in turn, said, "I don't want them then." His nonchalant response was, "Okay." I went on to explain I chose to purchase locally as opposed to Amazon because of the price point. I was actually impressed I could get a better deal locally than Amazon. Had the clerk been friendlier, accommodating or even civil, I may have continued with my purchase, but what retailer doesn't honor their website's pricing when asked? I'm sure many retailers' posted prices differ from those on their website, however, when a customer requests website pricing, sound business practice dictates you honor your website pricing to secure the sale. I'm giving two stars instead of one, because I have had other perfectly satisfactory experiences in this store in the past. Thoroughly disappointed. read more
