Lovely lady who works in here. Very charming and welcoming. I found a mulberry bag in here once and do find it is one of the tidier charity shops - making it easy to locate things you like. read more

Full of the name brand stores as well as a few mom and pop stores as well. There's also a gym, apartments, an awesome food court, and more. I enjoyed a quiche. My daughters enjoyed strawberries topped with Nutella. We all shared a fish and chips meal from Poppie's which I highly recommend. Probably the best fish and chips we had while in London. There are olive bars and paella and all sorts of amazing foods to enjoy. Also pick up a Notting Hill bookstore linen tote while you are there.
Ealing Broadway Centre is a shopping Centre which includes retail shops of every nature clothes,…read morefootwear, books, cards, electrical, beauty, food, gift shops and some independent (food confectionery, cafe's)shops. In the middle of the shopping Centre you have a few statues and seating to rest your tired feet, or for your loved one to wait while you shop. On the top floor you have Argos and Ealing Central Library. On the ground floor mostly chains and the odd cheap non chain shop basically everything I mentioned above, plus Tesco's. I really like their Primark, I would say its on the level of Oxford street but without the crazy crowds. Ealing Broadway Centre is on the Uxbridge road so its convenient to get to, because all the buses pass their plus you have the Ealing Broadway station which is a 10minutes away. They also have their own car park as well. The shopping Centre is good for the locals, but I would not go out of my way here, because you can get majority of the stuff where you live, (I lived in Harrow at the time). I wished i tried some of the independent shops more....its a good shopping Centre and does the job.
This is a pretty decent mall, and is a great option for those on the west end of town who can't…read morebrave Oxford Street (at least until the huge shopping development in Shepherd's Bush/White City finishes). Check out the website: it's quite useful, and lists all the shops. The usual necessities are there, including newly renovated Boots, M&S, Waterstones, and a relatively new Tesco Metro. Primark is currently building a new shop here and will finish early this summer, replacing a Beales that is now gone. The nice thing about this mall is that it's partly outside. Most hallways open directly to the outdoors rather than having closing doors. While this means its not quite a fully-heated refuge in winter, it makes it more an integrated part of the stroll through Ealing than a hermetically-sealed environment. The central courtyard is open to the sky which makes it nice when they have craft stalls or summer concerts there. Many of the shops face outwards from the building as well, or are in passages that lead out to the street. The bad thing about the open-air aspects of the mall is that people can still smoke in here. There's an Early Learning Centre (ELC) that makes great educational and interactive toys for kids. There also a Fat Face clothing store that appeals to my Canadian/comfortable/lumberjack side. The rear mall entrance does have glass doors, and these seem to get broken, cracked, or become non-functioning with disappointing frequency, and to be fixed with disappointingly slow speed. I feel that the choice of men's clothing on offer isn't great. And those who are used to hundreds of shops (a la Oxford Street) may find it limited. But if you're not looking for anything too unusual you'll probably find it here.
The best M&S I know for undies!! Yes, that's right - they're always fully stocked with pants!…read more Now, we all know M&S aren't half bad for undies anyway, being that handy middle ground of basics and pretty stuff, well made and reasonably priced, but I always hit the issue of them having every other size but mine or every colour but the one that I'm looking for. Enter the Richmond branch - now either I'm just always very lucky here or they are the best stocked branch ever. Perhaps the people of Richmond are simply too posh for M&S knickers, who knows! Either way it's my go-to for emergency bras (you'd be surprised how many bra emergencies a girl can get herself into, believe me). It has the added bonus of having a lovely cafe (although I have never actually used it, it's nice to know it's there!) and a loo, and the store isn't so huge that you have to walk miles to find things. I'll be honest, I don't really shop in M&S for much more than underwear sets and occasionally food so I've only ever powered straight through the store and up to the lingerie section, however, I can highly recommend this branch - especially if you're having a bra-mergency!

Alas, the young Richmond residents don't seem to be donating much to there local charity. While there were quite a few rails of clothes, they were mainly in the 50+ age bracket. Well done middle aged Richmond! Shame on the youngsters! What I was impressed with though, was the amount of books that were on offer. So many that they were categorised; Literature, Biography, History and Mind Body and Spirit. This gives you a sense of the reading materials of Richmond. The Mind Body Spirit section was big! I was also surprised to see sweets and chocolates. You don't get this at my local. There was a lot of Fair Trade chocolates, and the Divine chocolate range, which I often see in Selfridges for three times the price. There was also a bit of the Burnt Sugar range sold here, this is the organic fudge made in different flavours. I know where all my family are going to get their Christmas chocs this year!

Friends have bought me things here and I have bought things for my friends here. Why one star? I popped in to browse their sale today, all was well until a lad came in to see if he could drop off his CV. One of the two ladies who was working accepted his CV while he continued to browse the store. He had a question about the candles on clearance; did the price reflected on the tag mean per candle or the whole set? The lady told him it was per candle, not the whole set. He placed the candles down, thanked her and walked out. This is when the lady who gave him the price clarification looked at the lady working behind the counter (presumably the owner of the store) and goes "he is a bit too crazy for you, huh?" To which, the lady behind the counter while dealing with a customer goes "yes, he is a bit too crazy." Sorry? I can't imagine what the both of you have been through in your life to categorize a customer who is merely looking for a price check to be "too crazy" for you. Is it because he thought the sale price was for all the whole set of candles instead of per candle? Then maybe you shouldn't have wrapped all the candles together to reflect only one price? If your product or the pricing is not 100% clear, expect customer queries and respect that. There will always be "back talk" but to openly voice those comments in front of other customers? Unprofessional and tactless. I support small businesses because I admire their community vision, distinctive character, and local entrepreneurship. What I saw today left a bad taste in my mouth and shows that we all need to be more kind to one another.
